There was a question posted here by someone about "interaction" between the AI traffic in FS2002 and RC v3. I couldn't find it anymore but continuing on the similar theme I wonder about the following: 1. Will RC fully control the chatter or FS2002-generated chatter will still be there ? (I have no particular agenda here - I don't know at the moment what is better).2. I often fly with AI reduced to the minimum to avoid performance hit (I am waiting for this 3 Ghz CPU ...he,he). If I do this the chatter gets reduced as well. I wonder if it would be possible in v3 to have the AI selected at "low" but still enjoy a more normal level of chatter volume.Michael J.

First off, I'll apologize for this post. I've read the FAQs and read through some old posts. However, I still find myself a little confused. But, I'm on my second cup of coffee-- Hopefully that will clear up. :)Here's the deal:I've just recently come back to the FS world. I have FS2002--FS2000 is no longer available to me.So, I want to install RC again. I have my original RC v2.0 CD I purchased some time ago. Nothing else. That said, how do I get RC up and running? Is the required New Product ID on the cd? I only ask about the ID as I don't have any orginal emails from the original purchase (thought the ID may have been assigned that way).Again, I apologize for askin…

Just purchased RCv22 and set default planner as FliteStar and specified the directory. However, none of my FliteStar flightplans are listed. I'm using FliteStar IFR 8.5. RC doesn't recognize the native FliteStar file or an exported text file. Am I missing something here? Thanks,Joe

Howdy all. I've just reinstalled RC 2.2 after a long time away from it. I am trying to make some flight plans for FS02 using Super Flight Planner 3.81. Problem is that RC does not see any of SFP flight plans. RC see the folder where the plans are but shows no plans, blank, nothing. Isn't RC suppose to read SFP flight plans directly or is there a version or conversion problem here? Help, anyone?ThanksTerry

Anyone experienced the problems I am encountering. Firstly, if I select a default cruise level of say FL370. When I reach it and I ask to change levels, I am given the option of FL330 and FL410. However, after passing the first waypoint, this changes to FL290 and FL450. The increase happens after each successive waypoint until the upper value seems to limit at FL600. Any ideas on whats going wrong?Secondly, even though the .apl file has individual entries for altitude for each waypoint, this seems to make no difference when the adventure is compiled. Again, any thoughts?

HiI have installed the USA Chatter and I think I remember somewhere this file was the default chatter file. I did a quick flight in the UK and got no chatter. I could be doing something wrong, but will the USA chatter work in the UK.CheersKarl

Could be dangerous! :7Ok, so I've been perusing the threads and I see where everyone is really interested in being able to declare an emergency and divert somewhere, which is darned useful. But, I have to wonder if there will be an option to divert without declaring an emergency? Not all diversions are emergency situations. About half to two-thirds of the diversions I've handled over the years would fall into the category of pilot discretion/precautionary diversions. Most of these types of diversions are aircraft systems related and require a return to the departure field or an enroute landing for precautionary reasons but aren't necessarily emergency situations. So, perha…

I just downloaded the USA Chatter files and loaded them into RC. I made sure Chatter-ON was selected and when I turn to a frequency such as Ground I hear nothing except my own transmission to the controller and his to me. Otherwise total silence. What's wrong?? Thanks.:-hmmm

I am not a pilot by education. But, I would like to sim as close to as it is in real life as possible with what we have available on computer today. Currently I am using Radar Contact 2.2 and PSS747 at the same time. My question to those who are experienced in real aviation is, when do you turn the aircraft over to LNAV and VNAV after you takeoff during an ATC controlled flight. For example, I have found with Radar Contact, that the controller will tell me to climb to a higher altitude some time after takeoff. I set the altitude, but some times depending on where I am in he 747's clmib sequence, the aircraft may wait until it reaches its speed setting before it climbs, wh…

Hey guys I wanted to ask the board a question as there are so many gurus like Scott and jd who I remember did some beta-testing on Win XP. I am only now shopping around for a new computer and have been looking at Dell as well as a couple of small stores in my town. Most of the places I go to though like Dell don't give the original cd rom install disks but a "restore disk" this happened with a friend who bought a Compaq notebook. The salesman told her original install disks are no longer given for pre-installed OS as an anti-piracy measure. On another forum folks told me this was b*** so what's up here never heard of that and what does a restore disk do that an installati…

Another reason why "Mr. Bill" (not Gates "our" Bill) is necessary, was wondering what the esteemed experts in RW aviation thought about this accident (Doug? Scott?) and the fingers (oh I know never to take what the media says as gospel, esp. at the beginning of an investigation) being pointed at Swiss ATC. At first the Russian pilot was blamed for not descending when told, then the TCAS was blamed and now it seems a device used by ATC to warn of possible colliosions was turned off for maintenance.

Noticed something about one having to change the squawk-code when you fly from coast to coast. Is this only for US then? Will the centers outside US also be named in the new version? MS have it in their discount-version and i have seen people mentioning that ProFlight has it too?Just out of curiosity - there's no ATC chatter over Spain and i can't see any special downloads for Spain. Is it something only available on the CD or have i overseen something?CheersLars

Guys this new little problem has just reared its ugly little head.I have been trying to fly some adventures in Australia but every time I start RC2.2 it tells me to place myself at the departure airport and start again. I am definetly at the departure airport but it still will not work. I am using FSbuild to generate the flightplan. Could this have something too do with it. When I fly in North America everything works fine. The plane I am flying is the PSS A320.Thanks for all the helpReece RosenblattAustralia.
