Sorry if this has been asked before, but would it be possible in V3 for the user to specify whether QNH is reported in mb or hpa?I do most of my flying in Europe, and it would add just that little bit of extra realism to have QNH reported in millibars.Cheers.BTW, is there any chance of posting the current feature list for V3?

I haven't been visiting the forum much lately but I've got to ask. Pardon if it's been asked before. Is it possible to have, in version 3, the pilot request a push & start from the gate he's actually at? In other words, if I'm at KIAH Gate C-40, could I input that into the adventure and have it sent out in the request? The alpha-numerics are already done so maybe it wouldn't be too difficult? Maybe, we could also put in the gate we're headed to at the arrival airport??? :-kewl Steve Lewis, KCLE

Hello John and crew, I realize that this is probably way too late for V3 but I thought I would give it a try anyway. One of the features I DO MISS is an aural callout of altitude by the co-pilot when you are in the ILS glidespath. Wouldn't it be a great idea, for me at least, to have our copilot read out altitude increments as we approach 500 feet and additional readouts below. This way we wouldn't have to try to scan the altimeter as our eyes are glued to the aircraft speed and aircraft alighnment especially once we shut the AP off. It sure would be a great feature. Thanks

I'm getting in trouble with ATC (Center) again. My flight plan: AVP-LACIE-SFK-CIP (GRACE2 Arrival) MMJ (per Scott's post of a close VOR to PIT)-then PIT International. I'm perfectly on the airway to CIP at FL 180 when Cleveland Center tells me "traffic moving right to left, a 737 at 19000" then "traffic moving left to right, a DC-9 at 20000", or something like that. I was not told to deviate or change heading this time. A few minutes later I hear "cross ??? at 10000 and 250 knots." Since I never left the airway, I ignored this. Then I was read the riot act - "you failed to cross ??? at the correct altitude and speed, they're not going to buy it next time, you can conti…

Hello Scott and JD, First a good morning to you both. Now, I sure as heck did have altitude callouts. That was one of the basic functions of the old Flight Shop software. In PF98 you could add modules before you compiled the FP into an ADV and that is exactly what I did to obtain altitude callouts. Giving up on RC having speed callouts for now, I see the white towel, I did take a look at FDC and decided to purchase it. As I really love those CATIIIx landings I find, for me at least, that altitude callouts are extremely important. Thus my persistence in bugging you guys. I am not aware of these gauges you speak about Scott so I will try to get some info…

While cruising at 18000 at over 300 kts., I was told by ATC to change heading due to traffic. I complied and a few minutes later heard "traffic no longer a factor" and something like "cross ?? at 250 kts.", or something like that. I assumed this was to return to my airway and although I didn't quite hear the point at which to cross, why was the speed 250 kts.? Sure enough I was told about my infraction I was well above 10000 ft and comfortably in cruise, well away from my destination. Does this ever happen in the real world where pilots have to bleed off good cruise speed to return to an airway? I never noticed this on a real flight. …

Hello, I've enjoyed RC now for almost three years. I've had few problems :-). However I came across an issue last night that I couldn't explain. Soon after being instructed to contact arrivals (which I did), before I was able to identify myself, the arrival controller was already mad: "I say again fly heading 355!".I had never recieved the original vector, so why was he repeating it? I don't know, anyways It happened again, and when I landed I recieved a humourous rebuke from THE MAN . The flight itself is a short flight between Victoria and Vancouver, regularily flown by regional airlines- does the length of a flight some times affect how ATC instructions ar…

Hi!I have a question. When I was preparing for departure at gate, the adventure was suddenly ended. It was around 12:00 (Fs time) in the midnight. When the clock hit 12:00:00,there was a voice massagethat adventure is finished, and ended.Does anybody know about this? Why the adventure was ended? Please tell me.Regards!

Here i am again! :-)Installed flightcrew yesterday as well and when i made a flight yesterday, it worked. But today - no way. Usually when the message RADAR CONTACT comes up - it continues reading in Flightcrew and you hear a "bing". However - today it just stops at RADAR CONTACT and nothing more happens. Tried to continue, but no flightcrew, just the "ordinary" controllers and chat.Having tried a couple of times, i re-installed the flightcrew - ofcourse having to overwrite what was already there - and it didn't help. (Have check'ed FAQ without finding anything). Are planning my flights using FSnavigator 4.5.What's going on? - after one hour fiddling with this, i lost every…

After having had to re-configure my PC it's now impossible for me to run Radar Contact without my PC cancelling with messages popping up saying:Scenery read error! Attempting to open anonexistent directory: d:programmermicrosoft gamesfs2002advwavcachefleetwooddt.Click OK to continue..However - the fleetwood-library is placed outside that library, directly under the wav-library, like it did before the re-config.So why does it want to involve the cache-library? Before the re-config. i only had a C:-drive, but as i have partioned it and now also have a D:-drive and both FS2K2 and Radar contact installed on that new drive (except for APLC32, which is on the C-drive, should an…

When using RC 2.2 with Dreamfleet's 737 I take off, Departure climbs me straight out but it is several minutes and many miles before I am told to contact Center, and then Center tells me to go to cruise altitude and "resume own navigation". My FMC is configured and ready to go and I am not using a SID or D/P. I seem to go unrealistically out of my way (about 20 or 30 miles) before I'm given the OK to backtrack to get on my correct FMC airway. My flight is from AVP-PIT, and AVP has very little traffic that would possibly cause a departure delay. In real life I know AVP's Departure turns the plane toward the airway intercept right after takeoff (Victor 147). Can I get Depar…

I'm thinking about purchasing RC and would like to ask a couple of questions about RC's adventure capabilities. What is the closest distance from the destination airport that can be specified before RC will 'ignore' the enroute cruise portion of the flight and begin issuing approach vectors? With Proflight 2000 I can configure the front end compiler with a destination buffer, allowing very close destination waypoints before receiving vectors in order to fly tight STAR's and facilitate terrain avoidance. I would rather be able to do this instead of using the 'Terrain Notam' feature of RC, instead using real world charts and altitudes. Also, can all individual waypoints i…

Hi guys I'm back sooner than I expected, I won't bore you with the details but suffice it to say that I settled my new apartment which I will move into November 1st. My new system will arrive this week and I will have time to set it up test it and get all my software and data installed and transferred over and everything tweaked (and backed up) before packing it up for the move. All right so I have backed everything up but still there are a few things that were on my old systems' Hd before the mobo went belly up. I am thinking of the following procedure and need some advice as to whether it is correct. My system, Dell 1.8Ghzx512K, 512 Meg 266mhz DDR ram, 40GB ide HD, Gefor…

Hello,I began using RCv2.2 and like it, but once in a while I would like to use the FS2002 for a quick, low-pressure flight once in a while. I changed the following line in the FS2002.CFG file to:[APL]CACHE_WAV_FILES=1but, FS2002 is still missing. What am I doing wrong?I thank you in advance for your help.EnriqueO

I have used and loved both RC and FS in all versions. I also use other add-ons to gain maximum realism. In FS2000 I used RC along with Lago's Mad Dog, numerous sceneries and FSTraffic. In FS2002 I use DF737, Simflyers scenery, RC 2.2, but I miss my traffic. FS2002 cannot run AI traffic with an adventure and Lago never upgraded their product for FS2002 because it had AI traffic. I know RC 3 will work with AI, but until then I am a desperate realism freak. So I was wondering if anyone out there has found another way to get traffic with RC 2.2 and FS2002? Has anyone found a way to make FSTraffic work in 2002? I rather fly with RC and no traffic than traffic and no RC, just h…

One of my complaints with RC has been my total ineptitude when it comes to installing a program that has more than three steps. John and Doug were quite familiar with that complaint, and of course, heard plaintive crys and knashing of teeth for far too long from yours truly - in fact, I suspect that any correspondance from me seen in their email box elicited a comment like "Oh god, here we go again". My complaint was about MY ineptitude; not RC. Let's make that clear.Anyway... to cut this short... Prior to the 2002 Convention and Exhibition, John and Doug promised me (okay, well, they hinted) that they would come up with an Allensworth-proof installation method for, guess…

Hello John and group, While flying around the country and enjoying RC I couldn't resist asking one question althought it may seem a trivial one. In the new release is it possible to categorize FS aircraft, such as large, medium and small, and use this criteria when GND or APP selects the runway to use? I realize that this request is somewhat insignificant but still couldn't resist asking. Thank you for a very enjoyable package named Radar Contact. It is a real pleasure to use this program.

I just purchased RC and I am trying to use it with FSNavigator4.5. The problem I have is that I am missing the FlpExport.ini file. The Radar Contact DLL exist in my FlpExport directory.I had FSNAvigator4.5 installed before I installed RC2.2. What do I need to do to make this two applications work. Thanks in advance for your help.EnriqueO
