For those whom love to hear themselves talk (and who doesn't? ;-)), you can get a start on the RC pilot and/or controller scripts and be ready when V3 is released.http://fsflightdeck.com/rcv3/RCv3Scripts.zipThese are the 1025 pilot and 1130 controller scripts used in RCv3.Just follow the instructions. They also point you to the recording utility you will need.Enjoy.

i forced kbix to not have a approach controller, so this is a center-tower-ground (CTG) approachsince there was no approach controller to contact as i was approaching KBIX, houston center asked me if i had the weather, and what approach i wanted.i said i had the weather (i lied :-)), and that i wanted the ils 21 approach, which i was cleared fori missed approachsince this is a CTG approach, tower sent me back to houston center. since center doesn't vector, two of my "intentions" were not available (vector approach, and delay vectors).first i chose hold as published. after a minute or two, i was told i was cleared the ils 21 approach again (i could of asked for another one…

I havn't used Radar Contact since I purchase FS2002 last year, just one question when Version 3 is released will it be compatible with a program which we could mouse click to transmite the various commands or will it be keyboard commands. This has probably been answered before, I started watching this forum again awaiting the arrival of Version 3Tks. for any replys.Kenny GP.S. unsure the name of the program but sure made it easier with the older version of RC.

Hiya allFirst i would like to say thank you very much for creating such an excellent ATC program :) hmm that reminds me It was only today that i purchased Radar contact and then realised that v3 is on its way, Do the existing users of radar contact get a discount to upgrade with or would we have to pay the maximum again the same as a new user?Sorry my heading stated one small question but i remembered that whilst typing. Back to the question i came here for, I use fsnav 4.5 to create my flightplans for RC and fsnav has the option to ownload sids and stars wich i have done, but fsnav wont implement these sids and stars unless my flightplan starts and end on a runway (m…

I remember way back when Ver.2 was brought out, there was much talk about getting to have Otto sit next to us. We were told that there would be a pic of her with a pilot uniform on so we could paste her to the seat next to us in the panels. Did it ever happen, or did I just miss it?http://www3.telus.net/dport1/dansig.jpg

Haven't been to this sight in a while cause it just makes me that much more inpatient for V.3!!Scott...about Flightcrew. I love using it with the present version. Is it going to be compatible with V.3 or have you "turned the reins over" to Flight Deck? Haven't tried FlightDeck, but if that is what we will be using for V.3....I guess I'll start boneing up!Cheers!Mike P.Austin, TX

I have the problem of Mytraffic generated aircraft holding at the runway and never taking off when radar contact adventures are running. I don't care if I don't hear ATC for the AI but it would be good to have some company when flying. Radar contact ver 2.2.Is this normal? Seems strange that the AI can taxi but not fly.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Cheers

Hi jd,I just noticed a thread about RC3 in the main forum. Do I understand correctly that ADV Display is needed or will be used for RC3?I have tried using ADV Display with RC2 and for flying online, however, it randomly hangs my system. Without ADV Display I have no problem.

the version 3 manual is now 67 pages long. but don't despair, the flight planning section and tutorials will easily push this over 100. ;-)now how can i make reading the manual a pre-requisite for sending each of you a cd? haven't figured that one out yet. :-hmmmthe upside to a larger manual, the web site will be much smaller. rick, doug and i have heard "loud and clear" that you want a manual, not a web site full of information.i think when we get the manual done (:-jumpy), i'll make it available for download, so everyone can get a head start :-)

Hello Group, Just like to mention that I received the FDC package today and that it integrated very well with RCV3. It is now a pleasure to use a fine ATC program with in-cabin verbal commands. I wish I had known about FDC before because I made some comments which, unfortunately, led to possibly hurting other forum users' feelings. One question for JD. As FDC and RC do have some redundant Co-Pilot verbage can I delete the now redundant RC Fleetwood voice files so it minimizes any possible conflict between the two programs? These two programs are exceptional. Of course that is my opinion.Regards

Hello,Using RC2.2 I'm receiving very good approach vectoring overall except for downwind vectors to final. I'm using a heavy jet (PIC767) and I do have the jet aircraft type checked before compiling my RC2 adventure. On approaches in which RC2 deems logical to have a full downwind, base, and final pattern, I'm intially vectored directly to the airport as described in the RC2 manual. At approximately 20 miles out, RC2 vectors me for downwind. Here is my problem at this point: after I'm established on downwind on the assigned heading, RC2 will 'dogleg' me out at about a 45 degree angle away from the airport to ostensibly lengthen my pattern out. It seems that RC expe…

Hi everyone,Been over a year since I posted. I got the nerve up to get FS2002, I know I am usually behind the curve. My question is, with all the fancy panels that use Level Change etc, what Panels do you use that allow RC to control the Autopilot. I am looking mostly for the following aircraft types.1) 737-300/400/5002) 737NG3) CRJAny suggestions would be appreciated.Hope everyone is well, JD, Doug, Scott. Hope to be more active now. Thanks!Paul G.(KRYY)

One of the best things about v2 was the fact that you could download ATC chatter and files based on location, ie UK, Caribbean, Australia, Greece, etc. that really gave a "you are there" feeling to it. Much much better than the same accent (U.S.) over and over. In fact, in my overseas flying, one of the hardest things to deal with (other than ICAO rules) are the accents of the controllers. Will v3 have this feature? I couldn't find it in the feature listings. Not really worried about the size of files, would just love to hear different accents based on where I'm flying.I saw that there was the possibility of an upgrade price from v2. Do y'all keep ID's somehow of th…

When flying a heavy jet in a RC adventure, is it possible to edit the Airspeed Active and Vspeed callouts by the copilot prior to compiling the adventure? If not, can I delete the callout .wavs in the Fleetwood directory and effectively turn them off?

Hello Scott, I've already stated that I LIKE RC and WILL purchase V3 thus I don't understand your last comment in the now locked thread 'Callout Gauge'. I don't understand why some folks have a hard time in accepting CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. It is obvious, in many of my my previous messages, that RC is MY choice and STILL is.Have a good weekend

Hi JD, Scott and the group, My final word on the altitude callout issue. I agree with Scott that it is not a function of ATC to provide altitude callouts to those in the cockpit of the aircraft. True !! Then I must say it is also not the function of ATC to provide the aircraft with a copilot. RCATC indeed does. So with RCATC we now have a capable copilot who can handle the radios and even fly the aircraft once we are clear of any NOTAMS. Now, this RCATC copilot DOES callout V1, VR and V2 as we go rolling down the active toward takeoff. If RATC performs a non-ATC function that does all these things above WHY CAN'T the same copilot call out altitudes …

Hello, I am not familiar as to how a Callout Gauge works. Does the gauge display an altitude and trigger a WAV file to yell out the present altitude? Where do the WAV files come from? Are they part of the Callout Gauge software package? I sure would welcome and appreciate any information. Thanks

During a normal deviation for weather, ATC wants me back on course. I'm using FS Meteo and FS FlightMax Radar. Directly ahead (50 miles)on my course severe storm echos (reds and yellows). If I can deviate 10-15 degrees right of course I will bypass the weather. ATC refuses... (states I can request again after passing my next checkpoint). I want to stay on course for ATC but not by flying thru major turbulence. Will V3 address this issue while I am using "live" weather with FS FlightMax??????? Thanks for a great product!!Vincent CarloVirginia, USA
