I step by step beginn to hate the ATC of FS2002, 'cause it doesnt support SID/STAR and no emergencies. And that's what I need, 'cause I practice emergencies with PIC, PSS Aircrafts and Dreamfleets.I know the upcoming RC3.0 will be a much better replacement for the FS2k2 ATC. So, please tell me (us), will the new version be available this summer or by the end of the year?Regardst_a_h

I am using RCV2.2. In developing flights recently with NZCH(Christchurch) as destination airport, when making approach to runway 20 RC takes me out over the water instead of to the runway. I have heard that the .mdb files have to be updated occasionally. How do I update these files? I am using FSNav 4.51 as flight planner. Thanks. jmike46

I seem to be having a problem with RC and descent altitude. This is what happens....I'm at cruise FL350, centre tells me d/m FL230 I hear my pilot acknowledge and I am dialing in the new altitude and setting my descent rate. Within 5-10 seconds I'm getting the controller telling me to check my altitude that I am not at my assigned altitude. Seems RC is not giving me enough time to even begin my descent before the controller jumps on me.I'm using FS2K2, RC2.2, FSMETEO, PIC767.Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Hi I have returned back to using RC v2.2 after exploring all the inadequacies of FS2002's built in ATC. I run Win XP on an Athlon 1.4 and I compiled the following route using FSNAV 4.? and compiling it with Radar Contact. I was flying a PSS Airbus 320. The route:EGGP27 STOCK2T UL975 OTR UY70 DOGGA UY70 BLUFA BLUFA(star)EHAM27Basically Liverpool to Amsterdam. The plan was exported and compiled without problem but halfway through the flight after clearing the STOCK2T sid on route to DOGGA ( 100 deg) I was told to head 265 until suitable for further navigation or words to that effect. I checked my plan with the FMG on the A320 and with the plan on FSNAV and I was exactly on…

Hi there, sorry to ask again about reinstalling RC but I couldn't find anything in the forum for this particular case.I just got a new PC and carried over my old FS2002 harddrive, however the new FS2002 install is on a newer/faster HD. Can I simply move my RC directories over to my new HD and if so, would you guys be so kind to tell me exactly what directories need to me copied? The "old" install is RC2.2. Also, will I need to install APLC again and were there any other modifications that need to be made to the FS2002.cfg (i. E. cache wave files=0) or any other *.cfg? Any help will be greatly appreciated, as I just can't stand default ATC vectoring!!Cheers,Petehttp://home.n…

When starting an adventure in RC22 I am instructed to taxi to active runway even before having made pushback or started the engines. For some time ago I was browsing the AVSIM pages and found an article which describes some Version 2 Highlights. This article say that RC have and I cuote :"Pushback and engine start options".- How do I engage this function ?Could be nice to have engines started while making pushback.Best regardsCarsten :0)(EKCH)

Well I got my first holding pattern instructions last night in a short hop from KORD to KGRR.As a newbie to RC2.2 (and holdingpatterns) I would like to know if someone in this forum have a link to some info on how to enter and execute a holding procedure.my biggest problem is to decypher the ATC instrutions to when to enter holdingpattern and how to fly it.I have found one page which explains holdingprocedure :[http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kds?$=main/howto/hold2.htm]I have searched the various posts in this forum for info on holding patterns. As I understand it all holdingpatterns in RC are to be entered 40 nm from the fix.If selecting a 20 mile pattern is this distance th…

Hello, I just received my Radar Contact CD yesterday and have it installed in my computer. As a result of going to your site, noted above, I am now confused as to what files, if any, I should D/L? I assume the two right-hand columns are indicative of two different download sites? Also which files in the list should I D/L? Once D/L'd do I just unzip them into the root Radar Contact folder or do they go into the Radar ContactExternal folder. Is there any documentation available for the downloaded files so that I do not have to pester you folks again on this issue?ThanksBlais [email protected]

Hey been using Radar contact without a flaw for 2 months and now all of a sudden I am getting and error code that trying to open a file that doesn't exist in cache/fleetwood and then about ten other errors each with a different file noted. I went to my fleetwood file and all those files are there. They are not in the cache file though. I uninstalled rc2.2 and reinstalled still same error message. I have the CD version of the product and like I said it has worked flawlessy since June but now I cant use it even after reinstall. Any suggestions.

As a newbie to RC22 I have some questions :- What is the general difference when creating an adventure as terminal or when creating it as non-terminal ?- Could someone please explain the use of "terrain NOTAMs" on the page 2 when setting up an adventure ?- In what way does RC22 use the various chatterfiles ?Does it play the chatter at random order from the various dialects (countries) or are the chatterplayback depended on where in the world your aircraft is located ?Maybe some more questions will come up along the way.Best regardsCarsten :0)(EKCH)

hi..a friend and i plan to go on a simulated trip around the world. after fiddling around with the multiplayer mode of FS2002 we noticed that the Microsoft built-in ATC seems to be unavailable in multiplayer sessions.so now we're looking for alternatives, which brought us to RC (because for several reasons we don't feel "ready" for VATSIM-style online ATC). so here is what we hope we can do with RC:- compile an RC adventure for each leg of our trip - load it up to both our PC's. - start FS2002 on both PC's- load up the RC generated adventure- join the multiplayer session- fly the adventure (and use roger wilco for communication to each other)but here are some questions th…

I must say that I really like RC.I am standing between buying V2.2 and then upgrade later or maybe wait for the V3.0 to be released.- When on the second half of 2002is the V3.0 expected to be released ?- What will the upgrade prize be to update from V2.2 to V3.0 ?- Do you have a list of features for the upcomming RC V3.0 ?And here a BIG pad on all the shoulders that have been creating the best ATC add-on for FS.I have just flown the sample adventure form Atlanta to Daytona, and I must say that even without the chatter, RC is very convinced. You guys have really captured the "feeling" of being in the air and watched by the various controllers.Best regardsCarsten :0)(Denmark…

I am currently flying the sample flights of RC.I took the adventure Kansas City to Chicago (KMKC - KORD).I have closely followed the instructions on your site [http://www.jdtllc.com/kmkc-kordv21.htm]At some place the instruction mention a "PD - pilot descretion clearance" and says : "Find explanations on PD clearances on RC's Web Pages."I have seached the RC site but can't find the explanation.- Can you tell me where it is ?I have seen many posts here regarding a V3 of RC.Should I wait to get RC or isn't the V3 to be released this year ?RegardsStevie :0)

Hi,I just thought I'd post this in case anyone had the same problem as me.I'm running Windows XP with FS Nav, FS Meteo and FSUIP already installed with my FS2002 Pro edition. I elected the custom installation and deselected the items I already had, I also downloaded the adventure addon window and control panel. All went well and I started up my first adventure sample, KATL to KDAB.At the start my altimeter was anounced as 0000, never mind I carried on and kept getting warning about my altitude, of cause in the critique I was really told off!I thought something had to be wrong, so after looking at the faq's and anything else I could find back I went to try another flight u…

I just created a flight plan using Nav3 and saved it in the FS Myflights directory. When I try to load the plan into the Dreamfleet 737 FMC I can find it when I "Import FS2002 Plans" along with my other plans, but the Nav3 plan doesn't show any data - origin, dest., legs, etc. All my other plans that were created using the FS2002 flight planner show all data but the one created with Nav does not. Any ideas? Thanks.:-hmmm
