Hi I have a feeling that my RC is not managing all planes which are participating in the traffic. Many times i have collision situation, cause other plane is crossing my runway or taxiway when i am on it. Also on big airports where traffic is dense i've noticed that RC is communicating with maybe half of planes that are coming or leaving. Any remedy for that ? BR/Artur

  2. Hey there everyone! I'm new to the Avsim forums. On a flight from Manila to Los Angeles, after leaving Manila Airspace, I was being handed to Oakland Oceanic from Naha control and everything was fine until my ATC Chatter falls silent as soon as I was handed to another controller in Oakland Oceanic for the third or fourth time, approximately 2000 nautical miles from Los Angeles. I tune in to Los Angeles Center, Approach, Tower, and then Ground. I can't hear any ATC Chatter. I still hear the pilot, controllers, and other pilots but I don't hear the pre-recorded chatter. I checked the "usa" folder and verified the chatter files are still present. I've tried disabling and…

  3. KMYR has changed gate designations. Starting and saving a new flight plan with correct new gate number does not stop Controller info from displaying the old gate number. Where is this info stored so that I can make a correction?

Hi, I bought Radar Contact today and I love it! I've been flying with fligtsim just over 5/6 months now and I want to make my simming more realistic now. I don't fly irl however have an interest in real world avaition, I'm still a novice at flying and still learning most procedures. Usually at default ATC I fly at cruise until controller tells me to descend however on RC it gives me a descend and maintain 11,000 from FL350 and it's just impossible to do that and then I get criticised. Am I missing something?

Hi all, First real post here  I just recently bought FSBuild and RC. First I had problems with FSB because it would not find my .pln path and would not save the flight plan. I fixed that by forceing a path line on the fsb2.cfg. Now FSB seems to work correctly. The problem is now that any flight plan I save, when I load them up I get a "fatal error" and get sent to the main FSX panel. The only flight plans that work with RC (to a point) are the ones that are burnt into FSX, not the ones created by FSB or the FSX planner. So I try the burnt flight plan and yes I do se the RC msg window within FSX but cannot choose on the menu or hear anything. The…

I fly for Cayman Airways. There are multiple real world airlines listed in the drop down menu, but Cayman Airways is not one of them. I'd like it if Radar Contact would say, "Cayman XXXX" (XXX being my callsign) on my flights.I'm able to get it work when I fly for SWA as it will say, "Southwest XXXX".Is it possible to added Cayman to the drop-down list?Thank you for your time, tips and suggestions. So far RADAR CONTACT is VERY nice :Peace:Happy Flying.

Hi Folks I've had radar Contact 4 for 3 months, and I think it's a great program. However I've encountered a couple of problems over the past week concerning the Pilot Auto Reply. Aircraft is PMDG 737NGX Flight plan per FSBuild I have both boxes checked for "Pilot Auto Reply" and "Tune On Contact". I loaded a FS Build plan, KRNO-KLAX,and RC advised "cleared to RWY 34L and hold short", which I did. I was then told to "Monitor tower", but the Pilot Auto Reply did not ack, and " Monitor Tower" did not appear on the Menu Display. I pressed the appropriate keys to have the instruction repeated, which the controller did, but again no ack and no "Monitor Tower" on me…

Evening gents I have been trying for a couple of weeks to get RC running, I attempt to run the rebuild scenery DB, I have tried entering both C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\MICROSOFT GAMES\MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR X and also C:\Users\Paul\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files. The first is where my actual FSX.exe points to and the second is where my flight plans are located as I have seen mention of that above. I then get the first Makerway dialog box, when I click ok to run the database builder I then get the run-time error 75, with an additional message of Path/File access error. I am running the latest Makerway.exe and my Fsuipc4 version is File version 4.1.2.0 and Prod…

OK, to update, RC4 is working in P3D. All keyboard commands are working and I can do a full flight problem-free. Hopefully this will be my last thread for a while. I noticed something strange during a flight yesterday. When talking to AI, RC4 calls "Embraer N23455 (or whatever N-number)", or "Boeing NXXxX", or "Airbus NXXX". It does not refer to the airline and flight number like it did in FS9 (i.e. United 4325). I'm using WoAI and some other freeware AI, ported over to P3D from FS9 (just copied and moved aircraft files, and converted flight plans to FSX format using AIFP). Thoughts? Todd

Hi, I've flown a few flights now from EGCC to EGLL whilst I practice using RC4. On every occasion that i'm given vectors to Heathrow using runways 09L/09R, the final heading that the approach controller provides (125 degrees) is not an intercept course for the localiser. I'm using PMDG 737 NGX and the ILS doesn't seem to be in range at the distance from the runway the 125 heading intercepts the runway heading. From memory I was at least 25nm away from the runway and the display in the 737 didn't show the ILS yet - so there was no chance i'd establish on the localiser. Anyone know what i'm doing wrong? I'm using REX essential, PMDG 737 NGX, RC4, My Traffic X 5.…

Hi, I've recently installed RC4 again and i've been enjoying using it for a few simple domestic UK flights. I've noticed that RC4 is reading out the runways as 06 and 24 at Manchester but the correct names are 05 and 23. I'm using PMDG 737NGX, REX Essential, My Traffic X 5.4B, UK200 EGCC Extreme and FTX Eng. I investigated this and found that the FSX database had 06 and 24, so clearly not RC4's fault, so I re-enabled my UK2000 scenery (I had it disabled as I decided to use the default FTX Eng EGCC airport) and the runways were then correctly marked as 23 and 05 in the FSX flight planned. I used the "Rebuild scenery DB" option in RC4, but when I next used F…

hi, flying to LGKR , the NPA is ,coming from the south, a VOR app to RW35. But winds are 16025G35 not something to land on rw35. Thus a VOR rw 35 to follow till MDA ,then circling to rw 17. Mind that 10 NM north of apt there are high mountains.Vectors to RW 17 are leading to crash you into these! But what do you choose in the menu of RC ? Pat

Just a question about priorities: I leave Seoul (RKSS), rw 32L, SID ENKA1J. RC gives me an initial altitude of 6000ft then FL160. Now the SID has altitude restrictions RC4 is not aware of: GILGA below 5000, INCHEON below 9000, ANYANG below 12000. PMDG737NGX's FMC + AP follow these restrictions but since I am instructed by RC to climb to FL120 before reaching GILGA I have RC talking to me in more and more unfriendly language ("Sir, this is the third time ..."). How is that handled in real life? Is ATC allowed to assign a SID but override published alt restrictions? Do I have to obey ATC or stick to the published STAR?

  16. I asked this over in the Hardware Forum for the good of the order as peops migrate to SSDs. But Im a little stuck. RCV4 is located in my HDD, and I am now running FSX in my new SSD. On my HDD I had FSX set up with an install pointing to C:\Flight Simulator X RCV4 had no trouble running with that and all was well. Over on my SSD however I decided to change my install back to the default install since a few of my Add On Aircraft do not like the C:\Flight Simulator install. Now I am not too sure how to get RCV4 to run. Do I have to re-install? or is there a easy fix. Thanks!!

  17. Another problem was discovered when using RC4, although I don't think this is an RC4 issue. I noticed the other day that RC4 did not give me Rwy 10 for departing KORD, so went to request the Rwy and it wasn't listed in the RC4 menu! I did my flight, then went to the rc4.csv file and, sure enough, Rwy 10 and 28 were not listed. I checked to make sure my makerunways was current, which it was. It had been run right after I installed my FSDreamteam sceneries into P3D. Next, I opened the runway.txt file and searched for 'Airport KORD'. Only the default airport is listed. I clicked 'Find Next' and no other KORD was detected. I did the same with KDFW and, once again, only t…

  19. Hi, I am getting crazy with an issue on RC4 + FSX that I can't figure out. My flight is LIEO (Olbia, Sardinia, Italy) to LFBO (Toulouse, France) and the flight plan is LIEO POZZO UP980 OKIVA UP872 AJO UY268 DIVKO UM731 FJR MASAM ARVEL ADIMO LFBO (FJR MASAM ARVEL ADIMO are the STAR FJR6L), with landing runway 32R (that I previously enter into RC controller info window). Now everything goes perfectly until I am cleared to FL 110 during the descent to LFBO, the controller clears me to FL 110 and, reached FL 110, to reduce speed to 250 knots, plus the restriction to be at FL 110 within 30 miles or less (by the way, in my opinion this option should be made a bit …

Due to a crash of FSX, I decided to reload it directly to the C: directory from program files/ms games directory. This has resulted in faster FSX load times for my 'not the newest' of computers and resolved 'read only' file update problems. However of course, RC has no idea where FSX is at. Is there a way to redirect RC to FSX's new directory, or do I have to remove and reinstall RC? Appreciate any advice you can give. Darrel Zuke

  22. So far I've done around 60 flights with RC4 and at first I was rather pleased but the same things keep cropping up and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. First one is when you're approaching an airfield you'll get RC4 telling you to start decent. First It'll say descend at your own discretion and then ask to to descend to another altitude within say 30nm. Immediately after asking that it'll say I missed my crossing. I've barely gone 5nm never mind 30. If what RC4 is repeating is particularly long and you don't acknowledge right away, it'll repeat and then repeat again but right away and you get stuck in a loop where you can't press anything to answer because …

"Run-time error ‘28’: RadarContact.fsuipc.rcv4code" Keep getting this error randomly during a flight, it could happen anyware in the first few minutes or towards the end. It never used to do this, then a couple of months ago I reformatted and reinstalled everything, and this is the error I kept getting. A few days ago I upgraded to a couple of SSD's and having to start over again I was hoping that this error would not come back, but it did. Im on Win7 64, latest version of FSUIPC and am running FSX.

I was rather impressed by the CJ1 + I am using by Eaglesoft. I was at cruise and I received a TCAS Alert! Not only an alert but a resolution as well. I have to admit I was blown away. The only thing better would have been if I was somehow able to tell RC that my altitude deviation was due to a TCAS alert and resolution. I might have missed something. If I did or there was something else I could have done, I apologize in advance. Thanks!
