Hi all I make a flightplan using FsCommander (without sid's as I don't know which runway I'll be taking off), load it in RC4 (v.4.3) and take off using a sid. After a while RC starts saying I'm off my filed route and have to fly heading... (which usually is a 180° turn), this is quite annoying as I eventually will be getting back on my filed route because I'm just using a sid. I have to use Dir Ckp quite often because of this. Is there a way I can disable this message? I tried putting 360 in "heading deviation" but this doesn't help (in fact it makes it even worse and even at a 1 degree deviation it starts notifying me I'm off course). Smaller numbers in this opt…

Hi all Been using RC for a while now, but it annoys me that it responds so slow. You press a button, but only reacts after 3-4 seconds. I hope it's a fault on my side so I can solve it or has this to do with the program or FSUIPC? Will a registered version of FSUIPC solve this? Thanks!

Hello, for some reason my rcv3.dat file got corrupted and was empty. This caused runtime error 62 canot read callsigns I edited the file with notepad to the following: However this now causes runtime error 53 cannot read destination. I'm a bit lost now, it might be that teher are issues with spacing or punctuation in the file but I'm not sure. I'd like to avoid a full reinstall so any advice is appreciated. Thanks Vincent

I have a new computer. Can I install RC 4.3 on a seperate drive ie where the OS (W7) is or does it need to be on the same drive as FS9 (second drive) Secondly can I use my original Activation code which Ive saved but is several years old now and was used on tne original computer. Steve

Hi, I looked through the topics a little, and everyone here seems to be having some specific problem. Well, I have problems with a lot of things about RC. First and most relevant problem I have is that the "repeat" command won't work. No, I do not have the auto-reply on. I've tried different key bindings, but can never get the ATC to repeat transmissions. Second, often when getting transferred to another radio freq, I manually tune to the correct frequency only to hear the previous controller go "I say again: contact..." after which I acknowledge the frequency again while already having my radio set on the new frequency and then I get to contact the next contr…

Hi, In using Radar Contact now for a while, I noticed that the taxi instructions at large airports leave a good deal to be desired, which means I am probably not doing something correctly. For example I have my traffic settings at 60% Airline and GA respectively. I am using stock traffic (may be my first mistake) but that is what I have for now. I do have WOI installed too. Departing KATL for KMSP (My testing flight) I notice that the ground controllers, well, no offense, do not behave at all like controllers at RW ATL. Flew a short flight from Madeira to the above in the NGX. No probs I thought, a clean downwind approach. But then... Intercept ILS at 10500ft, 85 miles from the airport? Wow. Never seen it done like that before. This is the last straw. RC4 cannot do straight in approaches (as is well documented) it cannot do nearside, and now it can't handle a simple downwind from Madeira. Add to that the AI sitting dormant on the runway while I'm cleared for takeoff two thirds of the time. Still very new to Radar Contact. Love it. BUT, what the heck did I do wrong? KPDK to KMSP Eau8 Arrival. Was cleared for ILS 4. FSX LOVES rnway 4 but it has been closed for almost 10 years in the RW now? My bad need to update. So I requested ILS 12R which is a RADAR REQUIRED approach and is a vectored approach. I know I could have self vectored but that defeats the purpose. I then asked for the vectored approach and was going to be cleared for ILS 4 again. At this point I know I am doing something wrong. I have not used RC4 in awhile. Last week I started using it again. I wanted to take advantage of the save feature for long flights. I checked that the key command is CTRL+SHFT+;. Today when I tried to load the "Previously saved RCDs" none were listed. When I checked the "user/my documents/flight simulator X files/ directory 2 were named " 26-62281-KALWCYBA-7$2" and 1 with with extension of "26-62281-KALWCYBA-7$2.WX". The other file was KALWCYBA.rc4. The 3 "26-62281-KALWCYBA-7$2" had a saved time of 5:18pm the KALWCYBA.rc4 file had a save time of 4:01pm. Can someone tell me wha'ts going on. Also listed were 3 7$1 files with a save time of 5:08pm. Showing that I had saved …

To all, Looking for solution / ideas .......... The Setup > Win7-64, FSX, AS2012, FSUIPC and WideFS payware, RCV4. AS2012 connecting from laptop via Simconnect and RCV4 connecting from laptop via WideFS. Also running latest version of FS Flightkeeper via WideFS (from laptop), and Flight Sim Commander (on the PC). The Issue > Winds reported by RCV4 ATIS prior to getting clearance are never in synch with winds reported by AS2012. I just started having the infamous black screen crashes in FS9 within the past few days. Only thing that changed in my computer is I upgraded my video card from an ATI Radeon 4850 512mb to an AMD Radeon 7850 2gb. I'll be flying and I get a black screen followed by the message that FS needs to restart. I downloaded the most recent version of Autosave from Pete Dawson's page. Autosave works great as long as Radar Contact 4 is not running. If RC4 is running I get an error ding and then a pop up saying that RC had a problem writing to FS9. I have a home cockpit where the keyboard is not used, except to start FS9 and RC. All actions are executed from the cockpit itself through the hardware attached. (See picture) I would love to use RC (already installed and running smoothly with Meatwater voices) the only problem is that every time I have to answer ATC, I have to get up and run to the keyboard and press the corresponding numbers to answer. Now, I still have many buttons available to assign, just the knowledge of how to is missing. Would someone, please, try to help me? Maybe even step by step? I have been using RC for a while, flying with the PMDG737NGX. But suddenly I have started to miss my crossing restrictions. I don't know why. I am not doing anything different from before. I am paying attention to the restriction given, I am getting down in time and I am at 250 knots at most, I am straight and level. Still I am missing the crossing. Why? I have tried to get down really early and slow down so that I meet the restrictions allready 50-60 miles out, but I still miss it. I just don't understand what I am doing wrong. It takes away the fun. I just turn off RC (cancel IFR) when I am told that I missed because I don't want to fly outbound when I'm doing my job. …

Hello all, I'm using Radar Contact 4.3 with Fs2004. I also run AISmooth 1.11. I was making a 6+ hour flight from MMLP to KTPH with Beechcraft Bonanza F33 via low altitude airways, altitude 9000. When approaching KTPH, Radar Contact didn't order to contact Approach or Tower, just gave NOTAMS warning, and ordered to descend to 6900, and tell when I have visual contact with the airfield. They day was nice, airfield was in view, so I requested visual approach. RC cleared it, and said that I can cancel IFR in the air or on the ground, leaving but few options - wind check and request IAP approach. Hi all After a year I've reinstalled FS9 and all the addons I had. This includes RC4 with the 4.2 update. I downloaded the latest version of FSUIPC and Makerwys and installed them. But now I have a problem where I can't read what's inside the green window in FS9 after I start RC4. In the link you can see what I mean. Hello, I am experiencing regular conflicts with AI traffic. I have installed FSX, Active Sky 2012 and My Traffic 2013. It happens quite often, that I get a take-off runway assigned which none of the AI aircraft uses. In contrary, they often use the same runway but the opposite direction than me. The same appears regularly for the approach. The other AI aircrafts get the opposite direction assigned than me. What could be the reason for that and how could this issue be resolved? Hi All---- I just installed RC into my new copy of Win 8---I ran into the " you need to install a copy of MSSTDMT.DLL" error message when I tried to load my first RC Flight---I am not a computer engineer and can not understand all the DOS instructions for fixing this issue which are posted in the Pinned Thread above---Win Eight does not even have a Start menu---the touch screen IS the start menu---can anybody tell me how to fix this issue using Win 8?---

FS keeps freezing when I enter the vancouver central area with radar contact. I thought it may be a scenery problem, but have eliminated that completing a flight plan with no atc, then the default atc. It always freezes however when I follow the same plan with RC4 enabled, and when I am instructed to tune to vancouver central, the sim freezes shortly after. I have rebuilt the database. Could it be a frequency discrepency, but I don't know where to check this? I should add, it is RC4.3.3845

I uninstalled FSX and installed Prepar3D. How can I utulize RC with P3D? Without FSX, it looks like I need to change Export directory for right path. THX
