I bought RC 4.3 a long time ago but just now started to use it since MS FSX ATC stinks. But I am having some issues that I haven't found answers to yet although they may be burried in the 200+ page manual. 1. How do I disable MS's ATC? While I am using RC, MS's ATC runs and I hear those voices on top of RC's voices. Detuning the COM radios doesn't help as they automaticly get switched back during a flight. 2. Voice levels - the tower's vocies are lower in volume than the pilot's voice. Is there a volume control for each? 3. Lag time - I am running FSX on a pretty fast system but there seems to be a lag from when I select a number option in RC and when it …

Hey guys, I'm quite a newbie to FSX, I've only had it for about 6 months now, and I'm absolutely loving it. My friend got me RC4 and few other add ons for FSX for my birthday cos she knew how annoyed I can get with FSX sometimes. So after I installed RC4 and activated it, I opened the PDF file, and saw that it was 200 pages, and I just thought to myself "well this is gonna take a while." So I uninstalled it and went back to default atc for now. I have a few questions: 1. How long does it take to learn and get used to using RC4? I did a flight with RC4 last night everything working perfectly but today, having done nothing to FSX or RC4 I started up as usual, loaded the same plan as last night only to have the same old problem back. In fact I've learned a small bit more. I told you I was being pushed back from the gate about 150 yards. I took a better look and see that I've been sent to the other end of Heathrow from T5 down near T4. It's as if I've been rapidly slewed across the airport. I've made a log in RC4. I have a problem with RC4 that I cannot fix. I have installed a new Airport (FAKN) and as usual, ran RC4 to update the database. However, makerwys (4.6.7.1) has not found the radio frequencies. The ILS is there in the FSX r4 file and in the RC4 data r4 file. Where would the radio frequencies be in RC4? I have the frequencies from the developer, who assures me they are in the AFCAD file. And they are in the FSX f4 file. Shown here: FAKN,Kruger Mpumalanga Intl [NMG],119.00,0,0,119.20,0,0,119.20,119.20. How can I get them to the correct place in RC4? (Either automatically or manually?

I am very new to Radar Contact, just got it up and running yesterday but during the install I mistakenly told the installer I was using WideFS. RC seemed to install ok but when I do the tutorials sometimes I cannot select the operations shown in the window such as 2 for weather and 1 for clearance delivery. I do not have any addons which would intercept keystrokes. I was able to get it operational by shutting everything down, doing a cold start with the PC and starting up with the flight plan fully loaded in FSX before starting RC. Now it is possible I may not have launched RC to run as Admin. Could that have been the problem? I'm using Windows 7. Or should I just un…

What does this program actually do? I was under the impression that if a new AFCAD that includes, for example, a new runway addition, if you run makerunways.exe, RC4 will recognize that new runway. Yet, thus doesn't seem to happen. Todd

Hi! I have noticed that sometime when the callsign is not the same as the airlinename RC will not use the callsign but instead the first letter in the airline name. One example is Malmo Aviation, which have the callsign "Scanwing". I can chose this callsign when I set up RC, and have also checked that its pronounced correct, but then when I start flying ATC will use the callsign "Mike" instead. The same happens often when ATC is talking to AI aircraft of Malmo Aviation. I can understand why this happens with AI aircracft since there is many things that must be correct in order to get that to work (I use UT), but why is this also happen when I'm flying a Malmo Aviation…

I have looked around a lot and can't find out whether the ifly 737 payware for FSX will allow the RC copilot to fly the plane. I know the PMDG FS9 one won't, because I have that. I need RC4 for long flights. Anyone know?

Wonder if anyone can help me. I am trying to rebuild the database on my client pc but RC is not accepting the path to the location of the Rc5 on my fsx pc. Everything is set up properly and all programs work together apart from this. Cheers Steve

I have a strange problem with RC4.3 under Win8: Whenever I reach the phase of the flight when I am handed to approach, most if the time when the controller says something FSX freezes for app. 30 seconds. When it resumes from hibernation, the controller repeats his request and it goes on like normal. However, this repeats with nearly every message I receive (not with those concerning just changing altitude, as far as I know. FSUIPC is full version. Anyone knows that and fixed it? Hi All, I have been using RC for so many years that I can no longer remember how many! I love Radar Contact and don’t even consider doing a Virtual Airline flight unless my RC is working. I have a challenge with RC which has been the situation for a few months and which surfaced after I changed over to Win 8. I have not been able to make RC work since my system upgrade. I even bought a new copy of RC when I began experiencing this issue (this was probably my 6th or 7th overall RC purchase—I am a reliable and loyal customer). Is there anyway for RC to see a landing ONLY departing ONLY runway? I have them set in AFCAD but RC still don't recognize them. I know the KIAH airport use 26L/26R/27/8L/8R for landing 15L/15R sometime 9 for departure but it still tell me landing runway 15L then I have to request the proper rwy.

Hi all As we all know RCv4 has to have a default FSX flight plan loaded in to it so it knows what you're doing. The problem is the Airbus X Extended has its own version of flight plans, As a kind of medium I am using RouteFinder. Is there any way I can make these routes from routefinder into .pln files? Hello, Recently installed Radar Contact after being gone for a while. Everything works as it should until RC attempts to change the frequency to ground in order to call for push. At that point I get a Run-Time Error 52 RadarContact.fsuipc.rcv4code and RC shuts down. I have the latest FSUIPC and MakeRunways. I also rebuilt the DB. I am using FSX and the only add-on I am using as the PMDG 737-800. Thanks in advance for any help! Rob

I renamed the Trafficxxxxxx.blg in the scenery/world/scenery and I still hear RC and the default ac talking to each other but I don't see the ac how can I make RCA not to have contact with the default AI and just the real life AC I have

I was told to expect vectors to runway 15, and normally they are spot on, but today, RC4 just gave me one heading, and never gave me another, and just completely forgot about my aircraft, I am wondering if I did something to confuse RC4, or if its a weather issue, or what? I'm way out over the ocean when I should have been told to turn 5-10 minutes ago.

Hi I was wondering if its possible to descend in holding pattern with radar contact. This would be useful in areas near heathrow when you want to make an approach. Heathrow in real world has four major holding points that allow aircrafts to descend make their final approach in more timely fashion. I as wondering if this can be mimicked in real world.

Today in FSX, as well has having a problem not being able to zoom views in or out, for which I have posted for assistance in the FSX forum, RC4 is also not working. I create a flight plan using FSBuild, which saves a pln version in FSX. After firing up RC I load the plan in the usual way and then start RC. It appears to start except that I don't get the menu window and even pressing the two possible keys I usually press to get clearance results in nothing happening.
