I noticed that RC can be controlled by voice by both It's Your Plane and Multi Crew Experience. Any opinions or recommendations?

Hello guys; I've been using the RC for a long time and I consider it the best ATC addon that exists. Maybe, and I point out, maybe it miss for online control. But still, in certain circumstances, nothing beats RC. However, on these many years of life of the RC, many airlines have emerged, and others succumbed to the crisis. What I wonder is if there is no possibility for an update on callsings, or if anyone knows if there is any change made by an user and wich can be downloaded. Hello.. Hope someone can help me.. Using Active sky next - Weather is loaded into the sim, But the Atis information is not the same, ASN and FSX ATIS is the same, but a little difference to the RC 4.3 .. ALL is installed on same computer... RC 4.3 different qnh , clouds and visibilty, wind... ??? Chris from Denmark

During flight near North pole I received several "advisories" from ATC telling me that I was "off course, fly heading xxx". All indications were that I was on course. Is this RCV4 behavior to be expected near the poles? Thank you, Ken Boardman

I've rebuilt my computer and now am running FSX rather than FS9 (it's about time ). Before I install RC on my laptop (client), I want to be sure that RC uses WideFS with FSX rather than SimConnect. Is that the case? I ask because I have not yet been able to figure out the SimConnect configuration to get it working on the network. FSUIPC and WideFS is a breeze. Thanks for the answer.

Hi Is there any way to increase the Clearance available time when requesting a IFR clearance at an uncontrolled airfield i.e. "If not off before xx:xx clearance will not be valid" . This would not normally be a problem as most departure procedures can be carried out before the clearance period is terminated. However this is a different story when flying the PMDG JS41 together with FS2Crew. The FS2Crew checklist and procedures take so long after receiving clearance that the clearance is terminated by ATC before I can take off (twice now when lining up on the runway), Radar Contact then annoyingly just terminates. I just purchased Radar contact 4.3 and I do not hear any AI traffic chatter between the controller and AI. I currently use Global AI traffic as my AI traffic. Did I miss something on the install? Also I do hear the AI traffic interacting with the Default FSX ATC....How do I shut this off?

Can't understand this. I used RC for a long time but though I kept it on my computer along with the rest of my FSX I went away from simming for some months to do other things. Now I find I can get RC on to the flight screen but no matter how many times I punch '4' on the keyboard for clearance I get no reaction from it at all. Someone tell me what I'm doing wrong please? I saw a post from October 2003 which said that radar contact has been ported to x-plane (7), but a few things were being worked out with Sandy Barbour.As I now fly x-plane, it is of great interest to me.I have tried radar contact with xplane using xpuipc (which is fantastic), but the in sim menus don't work, which means that you can't use it.Any further plans for x-plane? I don't know if it might be easier with the XPUIPC plugin no in existance, but would love to be able to use radar contact with x-plane 9 (and 10 when released).Regards,

However when using Radar Contact and making a requesting to either ground tower departure etc the default ATC window opens, in resulting in me having to keep closing it. Although it doesn't hinder the flight in any way, it's just a little bit annoying having to keep closing it. I have been flying some regional routes and the issue I keep running into is RC4 will only give me a couple way points and then have the destination airport as the next way point. An example of this was I was flying from KMEM-KDFW and I got 3 way points or something and then while still 300+ miles out I saw DFW as my next way point. I then got ATC messages telling me I am off course when I am not but because RC4 is showing the destination airport as the next way point then obviously to it I am off course. Is there any fix for this or does RC4 only work with flights that are much longer? I have not had this issue on longer flights just the shorter ones like this.…

Just end a flight from LFLC to LFML(Marseille) runway 13(14)L with a 737 NGX. The runway was cleared but I met a 737 (as I'm a beginner with RC, I set ignore crashes in the realism parameters and set a lot of trafic and global trafic:96% ). At the flight critique, RC told me "Excellent,...." How is it possible ? Thanks for your help.

Hi, I just purchased and installed RC4 but having trouble to get it run correctly. The problem seems a bit unusual and would need some helps here please. issue 1 There's always run time error 5 after loading my flight plan. The flight plan was created within FSX planner and RC database have been rebuild for a several times. issue 2 Run time error 6 when I press to hear the voice under Customize Voices menu. My OS is Win7 64bit, Traditional Chinese as you notice from the screenshots, not sure if it has anything to do with the problem. Thanks!

There have been a couple of flights where I was told to go from 8000ft to 3500 feet in an ammount of time that was not possible for me to make the glide slope, or hit the runway for that matter. Would rebuilding the runways fix that issue? Is it a symptom of something else?

When I want, in Radar Contact, to load a saved flight, I can choose the right path and click on the good rcd file, but nothing happens and, after a while, I get a message "can't load xxx.flt" which yet exists in the same directory. Have I done something wrong ? Thanks for your help

Hello All, I have been trying to add a custom airline and callsign to the list of AIrlines in RC (so I can use it when flyign with my Virtual Airline). What I have done is made a .wav file of my airline's callsign and added it to every controller/pilot's voice folders (in the rcv4x/winwood folder). I then followed the instructions in this post, which seems to be the correct way to do it? I edited the c4.csv file in the data folder and added my VA's info. as needed. Sorry if this has been asked before, did a search but couldn't find anything. When I set up a flight in Radar Contact, I go into the Controller Info page and check the Transition levels are correct. However when I 'start' RC, the T/L showing in the Display Window is always different to what is set in the Controller page. For example I normally fly in and out of the UK so most of the time the T/L is 6000ft, but the RC Disp Window will show T/L 080 or 090 - what am I doing wrong ? Glen

I just reinstalled RC4 on my client pc after reading some good posts on the subject. Well, RC works very nicely and I really want to keep it on the client. However, the sound comes over the client speaker and I cannot really hear it. My headset is connected to the server because that is where ItsYourPlane and VATSIM comms are. How to route RC4 sound from client to the headset? Thanks for help Neal Howard

Hi Everyone, On my last four flights, RC started to have a strange behaviour when approching my destination. It tells me to descent to FL120 "in 30 miles or less", what I do. On my four flights, I was level at FL120 at least 45 miles from the airport (RC usually ask to contact approach at 40 miles). However, RC told me that I missed my crossing restriction and asked me to turn. When it happened the first time, I turned but RC let me on heading for several minutes and I flew more than 30 miles before I decided to disobey to ATC and went back on track. I have tried unsuccessfully to make FSX and RC4 depict the actual real world runways and I cannot seem to figure out what I am doing wrong. I ran the MakeRwys.exe V 4.674 with Admin rights after placing it in my C:\FSX folder. The new r4 and r5.csv files were created with new date time stamps.
