Although I have been a long term user of RC4, I cannot remember if it is possible to save a flight in FSX in mid flight, and on loading it again another day and starting Radar Contact, RC4 ATC would be able to pick up the flight where one left off. Does anyone know if this would be possible? Stuart

I've been using Radar Contact for a year or so and last night something new happened and I don't know how or why. But I liked it! Normally after I get handed over to approach and told to expect vectors I ask for the full IAP app and off I go to fly a STAR. However last night flying into Koln/Bonn at around 60 miles out I was asked if I had the latest weather, and what approach I would like. So my question is, why on this occasion did it give me the options at around 60, and how can I make it do it every time? It made flying the star a little easier! Hi I purchased rc4 yesterday and the reg key sent does not work,I tried a few times to regenerate a new key but it keeps sending me the same unworkable key. I have sent so many e-mails and had no response.I have an unworkable product. Can anyone help please as no one from jdllc does not seem to want to help. Regards William

most commonly caused by not using "run as" administrator on windows 7 and vista. right mouse click the rcv4.exe or shortcut, and clicking run as administrator. logging in as administrator doesn't cut it.if you get run time error 75's after a few minutes of normal flight, then it is probably one of the anti-virus programs below cutting off access to write to rc's directory.below you will find changes to Kapersky and Norton antivirus programs to eliminate random run time error 75's.jd

Ronzie, I flew the flight that you suggested. I had a few problems but did make a successful landing. Here's how I set up every flight and this flight with RC. I went to flightaware and it was similar to the route you told me to take. Here's the route: ORSKY8 FOD LANTK1. I used the FSX default 737 with the GPS and the points JURNY, PEDLN and RUMLE were not in the FSX planner. So what I did is took the coordinates for these waypoints and put them in the planner and then in notepad I modified the waypoints to make it say the names instead of like WP1 etc. I created two plans, one for Radar Contact and for the FSX GPS. Just a question about callsigns. I noticed there was no option for Mexicana in the General tab of RC4, the closest being Mezaluna. But when I search the Winwood folder I noticed there is a .wav file for Mexicana. How can I use this a callsign?

Hey guys, Been using RC for a long time, but have just recently started having it hold me at destination. I've done it a couple of times now where RC gives me holding instructions and I enter the hold accordingly. RC advises me they'll get back to me at, say, 0520. No worries. 0520 comes around and I get a new time of 0545, then 0555 the, 0610 then 0630. Last night I was kept holding for 90 minutes. Eventually I declared min fuel and went on to land. Is there anyway to set a maximum time to hold? I like a hold, but 90 minutes could be a bit excessive. Does anybody know what paramaters RC uses to set hold times? Cheers,

How does Radar Contact handle nearside or straight in approaches? For a near straight in or straight in or even a base, does RC vector you to the runway or do you have to do most of it? Also, what does notams do? Does notams allow you to go off the RC heading and altitude commands?

Hello guys, i have a question, I have fsx and radar contact installed. Now i installed P3D and i don't know how to switch radar contact to P3D. Do i need a new installation of RC4? Thanks in advance

I have a question, I use activesky next and radar contact 4 and I have noticed that when i ask for weather before I plan the flight plan into the fmc I get the weather and the takeoff and landing runway. But just before pushback when I talk to ATC he gives me a different runway with different winds. Same thing happens on the approach i get runway and weather info from atis, but when contacted by ATC i get different weather and different t runway information. I was under the impression that the weather was recieved from the same source, Am I wrong? I am using FSX with activesky next and radar contact 4. I have some questions on two STARS for these airports. The STAR for KSEA is the Olympia eight arrival. Here's the link: http://flightaware.com/resources/airport/SEA/STAR/OLYMPIA+EIGHT/pdf. After Fourt intersection it says to expect vectors for either landing north or south. Now the problem I am facing is how would I do this STAR with Radar Contact? Need some guidance. Have read the manual in some detail, but cannot get RC 4 to work. I am flying the PMDG 737 and saved the Fp in both fsx and pmdg. After starting and positioning acft at gate I load the RC4 and see the red box on the left of the monitor with the next way point listed, atis frequency and clearance (2) but nothing happens...no sound is heard, no reaction from the keyboard, then cannot get RC4 to full screen again to see what the issue is and to run the log file?? I am running on windows 7 v64bit on dell dimension (no capacity issues here) I tried testing the voices on the tab but nothing is heard, except to see the message "programme not responding…

So today I was having this problem again. What it is, is is once in awhile RC4 will make me do a face plant in the middle of the airport. Why this happens, is if say I accidentally do my default airport, and connect to FSX, it will move me to the flight plans departing airport, but since it doesn't have a gate or parking info, it just sits me in the middle of the airport.

Have been a very happy user for many years but now have a weird problem in that RC4 won't accept the 1 key in the RC window - the window flashes but it keeps showing the 1 option rather than acting on it. I have just reinstalled everything on a new PC - it happens mostly with the PMDG 777 - could it be a conflict or something?? Any suggestions gratefully received. Rob

Just purchased Radar Contact yesterday... The plan was to install it on a 'client' PC but the Key Request came back as a failure, email address was 'not able to be found'. Though it was sent with the correct email address. Thought maybe the problem was the 'client' PC, so I installed RC onto the FSX 'Server' PC and resulted in the same email response "Key Request - Failure" due to email address not on record. Sent an email to jd 'x at x' jdtllc.com with purchase details, but no response yet. (understandably - we'll give it time because of the weekend). I have FSX and RC installed and it is working ok. I realize that there are SP1 and SP2 for FSX that I haven't installed. If I install the SP's, do I have to re-install RC to work properly ?

Greetings Have just purchased Radar Contact. I noticed that there was no product key, etc accompanying the order. I have an order number from the online retailer. How do I go about making the software legal once I install it? I am guessing the answer is somewhere under my nose, staring at me; but I would have thought the registration process would be a little more obvious. Thanks in advance for your help. Graham

I have been running RC4 (Disk 2007) with WIN XP Pro and now have WIN 7, 64bit. system. Would it be in any way possible for me to re-install RC4 and obtain a key to register and run the program? My regards ANAMIV
