If you are at CA and miss a waypoint it gives you the oppurtunity to just direct to the next one. However if you miss one still on your climb, it refuses to let you contact the next ATC in the chain. It also only gave me one option: Return to KMIA (where I took off from). So I have to restart everything because I missed the first waypoint? Or did I experience something weird?

On app i was giving speed commands of 230 and 210 i have never had this before. is it normal?

(Using FSX, Dreamteam JFK, ASN, MCE, RC4, PMDG747) I'm currently flying KBOS to KJFK and find great confusion over the landing runway. Today, for example, with FO handling the radio: (1) Listen to JFK ATC at 50 miles out, says landing runway 31L (2) But RC4 window shows 31R ! (3) On being handed over to Approach, told to expect 22R !! Is this just an anomaly that I'll have to live with, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any advice.

There's a few pilot nav SIDs that use VORs to intercept radials. Can you fly this with GPS instead of VORs? Thank you.

I've just started to use the PMDG 777 with Radar Contact. When RC tells you to start your descent earlier than the FMC in the 777 is programmed, how do you handle that situation? Thanks to all who reply. Bill

Hi, done a flight from EGPH to EGSS and was flying the LOREL3G STAR when i got told i was off course and to fly heading xxx I'm flying the 737 ngx. This has never happened to me before, I was descending to meet the alt rest fl120 and on track.

I tried creating a direct flight from KSFO to KLAX just to test also adding an approach in PG from SMO to 24R ILS. I renamed the PLG file to PLN then tried loading into FSX but it wouldn't load. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi, i'm having a problem with RC assigning the correct runway for landing. Tonight, i flew into Gatwick and was told to "expect vectors for 26L, as i got ready to land i noticed i had a tail wind and, AI aircreaft were taking off from 8R which is odd as RC assignes the runway based on AI aircraft. Earlier today i flew to Paris Orly, i checked wind direction, at Orly before takeoff and was anticipating 26 or 24. Approach told me "expect vectors to runway 24", and then a moment later said "expect vectors to runway 06" couldn't lose the height in time, and did a missed approach. Hi All, I'm hoping somebody can help me figure out the source of this error. I've been using RC4.3 for years, but recently started using it in a networked configuration using WideFS. Been getting a consistent crash of RC4 at PANC on ground control with a Runtime-time 52 error. (Using FSX, PMDG 747, MCE, RC4 with various Airports and photo-real scenery) I've now got the above combination working well together and the effect is sensational. But now I'm expanding my flights to unfamiliar airports, I'm really missing the "Progressive Taxi" arrows which lead me to the active runway (for take off) and the Gate (after landing). Is there anyway to restore this, please?

I have had this problem on several occasions. As an example, I was flying from LFPG to EDDM with an assigned cruise altitude of FL410. ATC cleared me to FL410, I climbed and levelled off at FL410. The MCP was showing FL410, the PFD altimeter was showing FL410. the pressure was set as STD and yet ATC kept telling me that I was not at my assigned altitude. I'm flying FSX in the PMDG 747. Any suggestions as to why this is happening?

I can't tell if this STAR is runway specific or not. It looks like it's a downwind leg to the 7 runways however, there are no instrument approaches to those runways, so for this one, I'm kind of confused. Thanks in advance.

Hi, Today i requested an activation key but received a failiure message because the e mail i am using is not in the data base and, telling me to send a request from the address used when purchasing. Problem is, that address is long gone but i do emeber what it was ( i think). Sent another e mail with reference to old e mail address and request to update but received the same registration key request "failed message and, wrong e mail" Any suggestions?

Hi Any one else having trouble in the last 24 hours with RC. Mine loads OK radar colours show up on a white background no map. On the green bar says loaded weather but then comes up RC stopped working Is it just me if so will try re-install Thanks Peter

Running Radar Contact 4 & MCE. When ATC is running ATC keeps repeating "New ATC Options" over and over again in an endless loop. Any ideas on how to fix this, Thanks. Walt

Hi this is a short message! Basically i'm looking for tips or even advice on how to use that Alt rest / speed when you're descending. Only once i didn't make it and got vectored of course. Can anyone give advice on how to do this? I prob could work it out but its good to see other peoples plans and thoughts. Also about PD when descending, do i have to uncheck pilot auto reply during setup or just hand over comms to myself not otto before TD? Thanks RC users and looking for a good answer from ron here

Ok so I downloaded it activated it and done waver thing in the manual I open fsx load my aircraft load my flight and sit on the ramp Then I open rc and load my flight plan and press start rc Back to fsx new box has opened up and says 1 blah blah and 2 blah blah this is the end of the road for me I can't pick or push one of the options just won't let me I've tried engines off and on light off and on doing cold start then trying to contact atc. Am fed up of it already I've payed to get stressed out can someone explain what is wrong with it or am requesting my money back as am all out of ideas. I've got MCE and RC4 working reasonably well together, but I'm disappointed that "William" doesn't seem to be able to operate the radio to my satisfaction. Is William capable of taking over the radio and talking to ATC autonomously, ie with no action on my part and with me hearing both sides of the radio conversation? Or am I trying to achieve the unachievable? Many thanks for any assistance.

Did find the help to change the RC4 menu red lettering to white. Am now wanting to know if and how the font size can be increased for better visibility? Am not a Wide FS user by the way.

I did an IFR flight from KPDX (Portland, OR) to KLGB (Long Beach, CA) FL 350 in the stock Lear 45. MY IAS was approx. 275 kts. At approximately 190-200 NM from KLGB, the RC4 controller orders me to begin my descent. I thought this was unusual as normally descent begins about 140NM from the field at this altitude and speed. At approximately 80NM from KLGB, the controller tells me to contact Approach. This usually happens when I'm 40 NM from the destination airport. Anyone have an idea as to why this occurred? I was flying at normal (1x) sim time. Is there an .ini file I can check? Thanks.

I am having problems with getting the latest runway configurations for FSDreamteam's O'Hare and LatinVFR's Miami to show up in the runway display of Radar Contact 4.3. I am using FS9. The "GO TO AIRPORT" selection in FS9 shows the runways that are in the latest AFCADs for each. When I update the runway database for Radar Contact, it does not seem to detect these AFCAD data. The runway log from Make Runways has the default airport information (AP*.bgl) from 2003. Any assistance is appreciated.

Hi all I bought RC v4.3 in the past week. So far everything is set up correctly I believe. Last night I tried to have my first flight but in the end spent 3 hours painfully trying to get RC to work with limited sucess. The main problem I am having is that RC is not reacting. I was at the gate and requested atis, that worked then when I tuned for my clearance nothing would happen. After many attempts of closing and starting RC I managed to get clearance then the problems returned RC became un responsive and I would wait 3 mins or so before it would react to me. Hi AllI have FSX installed and fsuipc 4.6 and everything works great. I have Radar Contact 4.3 installed and everything loads great. When i load a flightplan and start RC4, it loads and i get the atc graphic loading just fine, but none of the key commands work. I Have tried the default settings and also customising the key assignments, making sure there is no clash with key assignments that i have in FSX.cfg already.The key presses will just not work ....... Any suggestions please ???????Many Thanks
