Hello; I have been using RC4 for many years and have a strange problem. FYI I am on a new computer. RC4 installed and after entering the key I got the MSSTFMT.DLL error. I resolved that and was able to load RC4. After that problem was solved no runtime errors. When I went to press the key to get my clearance there is no audio. There is also no audio under the RC4 voices tab to set up the different controllers. My computer will give audio on everything else whether in or out of FSX such as playing music or whatever. RC4 will do the text display for the clearance. I have "pilot reply" checked. I am running 4.939n FSUIPC thinking that may be the issue. …

Hello, I use RC very often. Today i wanted to Start from amsterdam. I did Not use RC before in Amsterdam. I have The add ON of aerosoft. The installation is One Year Old. If i Start RC like always and want to connect with The flightsimulator 9 and i go back to The FS, the Aircraft is up up and away anywhere in the air (Not over amsterdam, Anywhere about the sea). The Problem does not exist at other Airports. I Use fsuipc 3.99? and did a update of the sceneryfiles in RC. Whats wrong here ? Thank you for your Held Sven

Hi, there. I must confess, I've been in and out of the simulation hobby for the past five years. Blame office work and life in general. I recently purchased a new laptop and decided to go for the Wide FS configuration. However, even despite I got a key for my CD version, I'm no longer able to install the program, since the laptop didn't feature a CD drive. I googled RC4 demo. When I go to click it, it takes me back to the main RC webpage but I see no link to download a trial. Is there a trial or do I have to buy it and hope that I like it?

I've looked at some of the other threads involving the "Bad Data" message, using makerways.exe, and reinstalling FSUIPC. I haven't found anything yet to help me, but I am not the sharpest tool in the shed. RC4 was working great with my Airbus X, then I decided to use it with my PMDG 737NGX. I also recently installed MCE, and when I ran MCE for the first time with the 737, it made me keep restarting until I finally got it to work. So its now working, then I put my flight plan from PFPX into RC, just like always. First I get the message "IPC Bad Data." Flying out of KFAY on two flights to different destinations, ATC repeats heading over and over until arrival even though I am maintaining the correct heading. Any suggestions appreciated. Hardy

I have had an ongoing problem since installing Radar Contact. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My keyboard seems to be dead when clicking on either 2, to get the ATIS, info or clicking on 1 to get my clearance. When turning off FSX I get a message that says runtime-error "75" Radar Contact fsuipcRCv4code. Any suggestions? Would paying for and registering a copy of fsuipc help? Bob

I have successfully used RC with Air Hauler but wanted to try and use FS Passengers (I am quite lazy and enjoy the copilot doing as he is bid) however I have the following problem if I use the FSX flight planner; Even though I set the plan to start at a gate, when I start my flight and then load that plan into RC it moves me from my planned starting point to half way along the active runway and no RC ATC panel open. If I go into RC Control it shows the gate as the starting point but I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. Any ideas?

In the rcv4x/script/controllerscripts/taxpos file, I changed the wording from "taxi into position and hold" to "line up and wait". But I'm still hearing the tower controller say, "taxi into position and hold" at US Airfields. Anyone have any suggestion as to how I can correct this? Thanks.

I'm wanting to combine MCE and RC4 for my PMDG because i'm soon getting the 737 pedestal from FDS and i'll be handling all comms. So is anyone using these together and is it easy enough to get it going?

Hi Purchased RC4 last night and was just wondering how long you generaly wait for a key. Beliving i followed the instruction correct, i thought i would have had a key returned to me by now, I sent the original request yesterday evening and having nothing arrived re sent it this morning but still nothing. Before i contact them direct i was just wondering if i need to give it more time. Thanks Shaun

One thing I've never understood about RC4 is when ATC instructs you to resume own navigation, then barks at you for being off the airway when you attempt to adjust heading to intercept GPS tracking in GA aircraft. What exactly should 'resume own navigation' mean?

On almost every flight RC4 stops responding during the flight. There seems to be no pattern as to which flights give a problem and which do not. I am cruising along when I receive an instruction from ATC. I press 7 on the keyboard but all that happens is that ATC keeps saying the same instruction until the end of the flight. Pressing 1 has no effect either. I have tried programming buttons to send numeric values when pressed and also using GoFlights ATC module to send values but to no avail. Everything works fine until this problem suddenly appears. I'm using FSX and Windows 7. Any help would be appreciated. Phil

Hi all, I have been experienceing an issue that has crept in with Rc4 and the pmdg777 where I get no response from Rc4 when I request clearance, I have to shut down Rc4 and restart it to get it to work, (not all the time this will work). I don't have the issue with the pmdg ngx and never have and have never had the issue with the 777 either until, I think, the installation of Fs2crew777 or the 777Sp1 pretty sure it was the Fs2crew, has anyone else seen this? or am I missing something. I have been using RC for several years and today I came across something I never encountered in the past. The ATC warnings to other aircraft near my position, did not match the aircraft's flight level. My aircraft (PMDG-737NGX) was at FL340 but it was being reported as FL350 to other aircraft. I did not receive any ATC busted altitude warnings. The BARO was set to STD. The Altitude parameter in Deviations was set to 300 ft. Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong ? Here's a simple explanation for Windows 8, that was simply all over the place in the pinned topic above. 1. Download the necessary DLL: in my case it was the - MSSTDFMT.DLL file. Copy it to the SysWOW64 folder under your main Windows folder on your C drive 2. Hi, I would like to watch AI aircraft from the tower in FSX. I would also like to listen to the airport ATC frequencies. This is possible using the default FSX ATC but I am wondering if there is any way that RCv4 could also act in this capacity. It would appear that RC requires the loading of a flight plan before it starts so one may be limited to departure frequencies, not incoming traffic. At Heathrow there are two tower frequencies: departure and arrival. Does anyone know how I could use RC to listen to arrivals, even if a departure flight plan has been filed? (It should be noted that the arrivals are on a different frequency from departures). Paul Hermon

I was using RC4 to fly IFR between uncontrolled airports. The destination airport had no tower or approach. When I was 4 miles out and at 5000ft, Center told me where I was and said something like "what'll it be...". My options were: missed approach, IAP, Visual. I was in IMC, so I couldn't choose visual. The airport had no instrument approaches, so I couldn't choose IAP. I chose missed approach, but that didn't help - I think my choices then were Hold or IAP. I finally chose IAP and used the GPS to not hit mountains while I descended below the clouds. So, did I miss an option for center to vector me in? Or is that kind of thing not done? I would like to know if there is any help for the problem of what seems to be an FSX freeze and subsequent Crash and restart of the FSX Gold Edition program after making a request of the RC 4 program to perform a certain action. It is quite frustrating that after loading the programs required to Fly an Online flight for my virtual airline That it closes my three background programs and forces the restart Of FSX.
