Sometimes I want to just get up and go, and I would also like to use the rc4 I've never tried it from the runway, can you?

Have any of you experienced any problems with RCv4 and Windows 10? Here's my issue. I can get ATIS. I can contact clearance and ground. When I'm told to contact tower I can't do anything at that point. Furthermore, I can't contact FSS at airports where it's needed. I'm not sure what the issue could be. I've tried all sorts of different ideas. I've tried all the compatibility modes, a refresh install of RC, run as admin and even went as far to go with an old version of FSUIPC. All produce the same results. I have all the required libraries installed. I suppose it's just a Windows 10 issue with RC. Richard

I'm always trying to find good airports that stream 'clearance delivery' traffic. It seems to be such a challenge to find an airport where this frequency has a lot of traffic. Does anyone know of any airports that stream busy 'clearance delivery' streams? I'm trying to gain enough experience in listening to the initial clearance for flights.

Once of a sudden, after years of running perfectly, Radar Contact now once of a sudden displays a Run-time error 75 after I hit "Ctrl-Shft-K" in my running P3Dv3.1 simulator. The accompanying note is "RadarContact.fsuipc.rcv4code. I am running RC4 with the latest version of FSUIPC, I did a rebuild of the Scenery DB alas without a positive result. Searching this forum didn't give me a solution, either. Can anybody give me a hint to which file may not be found by RC4.3? Thanks, Hans

Hi all, I always seem to get this problem when ever I request a new key. I've upgraded to windows 10 and bought FSX-SE so I've had to reinstall everything from scratch and so I needed a new registration key for RC4. I Sent off an email to the register email address this morning it's now 10 hours later and I've got nothing back. So to test the reg server I sent an email from one of my other accounts to see if I get an error message back and indeed I did within around 10 minutes. So it seems to be my registered email address it does not like. I've checked the usual spam folders etc. I'm guessing a key request should be responded to in the same sort of time frame th…

I've had a bit of an issue for a bout a week now landing at KATL, RC will give me "expect vectors for runway 8L approach" ... but all other AI are getting runways 27L and 26R because winds are 245 at 8. So RC is not only putting me in the wrong direction for wind, it is also putting me landing directly into on coming traffic. This started about a week ago when I installed a new KATL scenery. I verified the ATIS frequencies in the new. old, and stock KATL BGL files and they are all the same. Only the new one and stock is in FSX. The old one was removed from add scenery, removed from FSX folder and renamed. I checked the ATIS frequencies because I noticed when coming in to …

Hello all. So I have a question regarding the Navy call sign. I noticed that in the c4 file and in winwood there is already Navy there, but it is assigned to "NAVY,NAVY,Royal Navy - UK,0, 0 " I was wondering since I have MyTraffic6 and it has a lot of US Navy planes flying around could I just have RC see the callsign of "US Navy" and call it Navy? If so, would I just need to include a new c4 line, or how would I go about doing this? I could just go into the aircraft CFG of the AI and rename US Navy to just Navy, but this would be very time consuming since I don't know exactly which AI planes have a Navy paint to them and would have to check all 204 AI aircraft CFG files t…

Hello all I have successfully added OTHH into FS9 but RC4 does not recognise its existence. I can start my PMDG 747 at a gate in a saved flight but when I start RC4 the A/C is floating in midair, the Y key reveals the A/C has no position.....Lat/Long is all zeros. What is the procedure for installing a new Airport in RC4 > I have run Makerunways.......to no effect on this issue, Any help much appreciated David Ireland UK

I want to fly a DP that has altitude restrictions. What are the proper boxes to check in RC?? I've tried all three boxes under Dep Proc in the Controller info screen and RC always gives me an altitude to fly.

I purchased this "cd" to have this program amd it will not open so the program can be installed. I am not able to get a new key because it's been installed and activated according to you. Did I jus t blow another $44??

New install on replaced HD. Read Ron's reply to earlier post and re-downloaded and installed both Make Runways and FSUIPC and re-registered the latter. Parked my aircraft and selected RC and selected a prior flight and configured it in the RC screen and started RC. RC's ATC window opened and I clicked "Requested" my clearance. Nothing happens, for probable reason that there is no connection to Controller voices, due to Runtime Error 75 "Radar Contact.rcv4Module.Pilot_ack" when attempted to select of change Pilot, Co-Pilot, Controller voices. Lima, Peru has changed its ICAO designator from SPIM to SPJC. Navigraph has updated their database and so flight plans have the new designator. Because its not in RC's database, it drives RC crazy. My question is: Can I simply change SPIM to SPJC in a4.csv without causing any harm? Thanks. Dan Cole

I follow all the instructions from the "Radar Contact Version 4 Key" mail, I started RCv4 as administrator and finally installed FSUIPC 4 but the problem keeps. The issue is that when I enter the key into the space and click "Done", the app freezes and appears "Not Responding", then it closes and when I re-open RCv4 the registration windows appears again and again. I have also read AVSIM and it seems that several people had also this problem, but magically it was solved. Can someone help me? I tried everything I can but nothing happens.

HI Guys... recently took delivery of a new PC and am running W10 with FSX-Steam Edition... Installed FSUIPC v4.949 (latest and full version); installed MakeRunways v4.692. So far so good... After installing RC (new Reg Key arrived in about twn minutes!!!) I ran the database which went through OK. Evening, I built a new PC strictly for Flight Simulator I am going with Prepar3d v3.1 ( my original PC was FSX) and I am reloading my Radar Contact. I requested the Key and received it quickly. I cannot get it to activate? Is there something I am missing? Do I need to get a new copy since I am using Prepar3d now? Thank You, Jim

Anyone know how to hide the small info window during flight? I manage to resize it and keep it down in the lower left corner, and have tried suggested key combinations, and when I do close it, it pops back after a few seconds. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. FSX for me. Thank you.

Hi everyone, I just tried to use the majestic dash 8 for the first time with radar contact. Before entering the runway i switched the transponder to ALT. But after take off I was asked repeatedly to verify my squawk code as if the transponder wasn't on. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Hi I've just taken the plunge and migrated FSX over to P3D v3 (Much better I have to say). Most of the add-ons I've brought with me have installers that are prepared for P3D (ORBX and ASN). Only two I'm missing to complete the package are ATC and AI traffic. I have not re-run the installer as I read on the prepar3d forum that RC4 is a standalone and I should me able to get RC4 working without needing a fresh reinstall Everything is on my 'z' drive I have changed the .flt and .wx path to "z/user/mark/my documents/prepared 3D V3" and RC4 seems happy with it. But is this correct and for using ASN My main P3D directory is in my program files x86 folder…
