I made 5 flights today, without any problem. When I start Radar Contact for flight 6, I got in the flightplan window (left next to "StartRC" button): "to @0 (Alt1-, Alt2) / RVSM" No flightplan at all Also "Rebuild Scenery" is not working. It says only: RC rebuilding r4.csv, running and RC finished rebuilding r4.csv and RC rebuilding new a4. csv file and RC finished rebuilding a4.csv. No word about rebuilding scenery database completed or successful or something like that. (I do not remember the right words) I can also not reload those 5 previous plans. Flightplans are made with FSC Any help appreciate Peter

Hi guys. Just wanted to let you know, that im have a good time with RC4. I know FSx is a terrible game to make mods for. With all the Service packs, simconnects and FSUIPC elements. And so I wont blame you for the "getting it to work" problems. I will though give you credits for the good program. I flew 3 flight so far and Im loving it. Still I have yet to discover all the options and details. But i'm glad that I bought this addon. Best regards. Melle

Hi Guys, The Display Text option, for me, is very usefull. Im having a hard time following the ATC without the text. Is there any other option for me to read what the ATC says. Without lag? Thanks Melle

I noticed today when flying out of Denver using a real world flight plan (KDEN STAKR3 PYPER PNH J17 ABI DILLO LAIKS1 KAUS), that RC4 doesn't seem to like it when SIDs are longer than 30NM in distance. I was getting barked at by RC4 well before I was able to get on track to PYPER. Is there a way to configure RC4 to honor SIDs that are longer than 30NM? I've set the alt restrictions flag like I always do, so I'm not sure if there's another location to tweak the distance before barking or not. Thoughts?

I am running FS9 and windows 7 pro 64bit. I have downloaded and installed RC4 run the Rebuils Scenery Database and loaded a flightplan. My aircraft is parked at gate 7 Guernsey airport but when starting RC4 it moves to the middle of the ocean Any help would be much appreciated regards Brian

I am using Windows Pro 64 bit and FS9. I am entering C:/ProgramFiles/MicrosoftGames/FlightSimulator9 but it is saying it cannot find the r5.csv file i have confirmed that it is in the fs9 folder Any help would be much appreciated regards Brian

I just installed RC V4.3.3845. I'm using FSX with Windows 7. There is no update tab in the utilities screen. Does anyone know what is going on with that? Hunter

I'm running RC on a laptop connected via network and WideFS. I've updated my Make Runways in P3D but can't determine the path to it. My networked computer is named CORSAIR, P3d is on the G: drive as Prepar3d v3. When I enter "Corsair:\G:\Prepar3d v3\", Radar Contact crashes. I can't seem to set the path correctly. Any ideas?

Since PMDG products won't allow you to put actual SIDS and STARS to save a flight plan with, I thought I'd just find the sid/star that I wanted to practice, and add them in as normal waypoints. I know that's not normally done in the real world, but I'm not in the real world. My question is as above, does RC4 know if you're using a SID or STAR? Also, can you configure it to use the rules for them?

Does anyone know of any way to lengthen the time that RC4 expects a reply before you get the last instruction repeated by the controller? Any help would be appreciated.

I've been doing a bunch of KEGE -> KDEN flights lately and noticed that in some cases, RC wants me to be at an altitude that would most certainly kill me and everyone on board due to terrain. I've had to slow my descent (and sometimes bust the 30nm restrictions) to avoid mountains. Does RC take any of this into account when giving descent instructions?

Hello All I am a newbie to Radar Contact and I am having difficulty in loading a flight plan. I am using FS9 on windows 10 and when trying to register msstdfmt.dll I get a message saying " The module "msstdfmt.dll" may not be compatible with thr version of Windows that your'e running.Check if the module is compatible with an x86(32bit) 0r x64(64bit) version of regsvr32.exe" Any help would be much appreciated regards Brian

or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid That is the full msg which I got after many years of trouble free use first time reinstall RC4 and before I can request a reg key. No I'm not a stalker! I'm probably doing something wrong or not understanding the correct procedure, so I'm looking for soem clarification from the wiseone's out there. I create a flightplan in PFPX. export it to EFB where I add SID's/STAR's I then export that to as a FSX fp including procedures. RC4 initally clears me to 6000. Now once I've taken off and enter the SID let's say SAM3Z out of EGKK there are 4 ALT restrictions in place KKN09 (3000), KKW19 (3000), KKW26 (4000), and SAM (4000) should I now ignore them as RC4 has cleared me to 6000 or should I ignore RC4 and follow the restriction?

This is the error message that I'm receiving when I try to load P3D 3.0 flight plan generated by PFPX. I have been using RC4.3 + PFPX with FS2004, FSX, P3D 2.5 with no problems for almost 11 years and it's a first time when I'm running into this error. However, I have a freshest W7 Pro-64 install on my SSD and perhaps some files haven't been installed on my system. Would appreciate a solution for my problem Thanks, Dmitriy

Usually when you get close enough to follow most STARS RC4 will begin directing you to line up with the ILS and ignore the rest of your flight plan. How do I get it to recognize that I want to fly a STAR?

FLying my first RC4 flight in P3D3.0 and sometimes the voices are lost. I'm pretty sure that it's something wrong with audio as I clearly see that RC window shows all the communications. Any ideas? For example, I can hear the pilot and co-pilot, but I can't hear the controller

The New RNAV STAR KKILR into KMSP uses a right downwind for 12R and left downwind for 12L. I'm wondering if using NOTAMS you can force the right downwind instead of left which is what RC would do? When I fly this later, I'll be using an IAP since from the last point DOLEE on the STAR I'll go direct to ZESTY then to the FAF. But if not using IAP, I would be curious to know if it's possible to do this. Thanks.

Hi, I have moved recently tp P3D from FS2004 where I had been using RC4.X since 2005. After several attempts to enjoy PRO ATC X I found out that this software lacks a flexibility that RC delivers. As such, I'm planning to return back to RC and I have some questions for P3D specifics. 1) Does RC work in P3D at the same manner as it used to work in FS2004. Are there any shortcomings or limitations comparing with FS2004? I'm especially worrying about managing of AI as it seems to me both FSX and P3D use slightly different AI engine 2) Does RC original 4.3 installer work "install-and-run" in P3D? Should I add any other modules, files or do some other magics to mak…
