Ok this may be silly and if so please bear with me. I am a big fan of radar contact and as such have made it my #1 ATC for my flight sim. As such I have seen where version 5 is now laid to rest and no more will be done. I am sadden by this but understand why. As a software developer myself I know all too well the demands that are put on your shoulders., As such I have one question. 1, hat would happen to radar contact if we could no longer register the program as a result of say the team putting the whole program to bed. or jd stops doing registrations. I have RC 4.3.3845 running with P3Dv2.3 using FSUIPC 4.936. When I enter a keyboard command for RC I get the following error message: Run-time error '75' RadarContact.fsuipc.rcv4code Any suggestions? Regards Jim

After taking off, the controller gives me heading directions which keeps me on my filed flightplan but never lets me intercept the first intersection indicated on the FMS(PMDG 737). If I can't intercept the first intersection, then I will not be able to use the LNAV function when I am in Autopilot. This happens all the time. Is there a way to get around this?

I've checked location folder. Every P3d save just gives me two files wc and the fltm (I need to copy and change to flt). No RCD files anywhere! Can someone tell me what I'm missing please? Thanks. Dean

This is just a heads op for people who have RC complaining that you are off the airway and fly heading xx until suitable. Its one possible problem to this issue. I'm sure others may know this but I thought it worth a mention and to save JD some typing I use a online service for flight plan generation. I use SimBrief.com. It is a very professional free planner. Anyway, I've had some problems since I've used this planner with a route that I always fly when I want a short hop. PHLI to PHOG (Hawaii). I need to uninstall RCv4 to re-install it on another drive (I didn't mean to install it on this one in the first place!). But how do I remove it properly? There is no Uninstall option and it doesn't show in Windows "Uninstall or Change a program" listing. Can anyone advise me? Thanks Nigel P.S. Hi, am I doing something wrong here as when I plan a flight and allocate a gate no. to depart from, starting RC4 in the controller section the gate is numbered with the departure runway number, is this normal, a bug?, or is it me. Cheers Rod.

Just recently, on a filed and cleared IFR flight from KDEN to KLCLT at FL350, mach 0.80 and on course, I attempted to save the remainder of 2 hours of this flight. It saved except for the Radar Contact (.rcd) file. This is the first time this has occurred, as this flight properly saved prior to "cleared for takeoff". Is there a limit of saves that can occur, or is something else not set correctly. I have several other flights (for example: KCLT to EDDF) that I have saved at 1 hour segments of that particular 8 hour flight and others with no problems, John

Guys, When I'm approaching the airport using RC and Active Sky, and I check the weather (about 50 miles out), the RC ATIS will only give me the weather and winds aloft for the destination airport rather than the surface conditions. I believe I've tried everything I could in AS and RC, is there something I'm missing? Thanks, Bud

I have read the RC manual but didn't wee an answer. I know that RC runs along side P3D and uses FSUIPC to interface with P3D but does loading the flight plan into RC satisfy or replace the need to load it into P3D or do I need to load it separately into P3D as well? I have a couple of other questions too such as, is there a way to get "progressive taxi" or a "follow me" going in radar contact?

Can the display screen be made larger?

I am at SCGZ in Chile and starting from the ramp I get directions to Rwy 26, but I am told it is 7000+ft away ! I would esitmate it to actually be about 1000ft at most As I backtrack Rwy 26 the distance increases! So that by the time I am lined up in position on Rwy 26 RCv4 shows me around 8000ft away from the point it expects and hence I don't get take-off clearance. I selected the opposite runway and taxied to the other end and it was still showing many thousands feet still to go. I have run Makerwys and restarted everything, but that did not make any difference. I tried a flight from EGKA Shoreham (UK) and that was fine, the position showed correctly and I receive…

I know it's a good idea to load an IAP from an IAF when taking vectors for situational awareness. What would you do though when there are more complicated procedures on the plate like multiple IAFs or no IAFs? Many of the airports I use have either no IAF and just an IF, or multiple IAFs. Thanks.

I'm flying from KIAD to KEWR. During the flight The ATC is telling me to fly Heading 065. I start flying heading 065 and I'm staying on that course but the ATC keeps telling me to fly Heading 065. Is that normal for the ATC to keep repeating the heading course even though I am fling the course they are telling me to fly ?

Sometimes, RC vectors me right over the airport on downwind and then turns me like 30 degress off the downwind heading once over the airport. They then turn me back on downwind then eventually turn me on base leg. One place this happened was at KORD on the WATSN2 STAR I believe. I was landing on one of the 28 runways. The vectors leaded me to a good intercept, but am just wondering if a downwind leg can be over the airport. Thanks.

Hello again, Just a very minor point, but now I've got MCE/RC4 running so well together, I'm afraid I'm getting picky! How do I get the ground controller at the destination to direct me to "Gate XX" rather than just "XX"? I've tried entering "Gate XX" in the Controller Info box but Ground then directs me to "Golf Alpha Tango Echo XX" !!! If it's an easy trick, please let me in on it ! Many thanks.

I've been an RC fan for a long time, but I'm having a hard time getting it working with P3D v2.3 (haven't yet upgraded to v2.4). I've got FSUIPC 3.937 (unregistered) installed and successfully rebuilt the scenery database using makerwys 4.675. However, every time I click Start RC I get the error: Run-time error '9': RadarContact.fsuipc.rcv4code. Also, my aircraft position in P3D immediately changes to Lat/Lon 0/0 in the middle of the ocean. Any ideas? Thanks! Alden I should add that I'm running everything as admin. Running Win 8.1 64.

I had this happen twice today- I replicated it the second time and made sure the flightplan in FSX and in RC were correct. I have never had this issue before- I flew the Feel There ERJ-175 KDTW to KJFK. I am pretty experienced with the ERJ series and have flown this jet numerous times before using RC with no issues. I have a few questions on flying in high altitude airports such as KLAS. When going to airports with high terrain, you should always use NOTAMS, right? Should I change the MSA according to the approach charts or should I leave the default setting. I also was hearing an IAP may be good for some of these, but sometimes the approach chart will have a holding pattern or some other procedure turn on it. One other thing if you don't mind. Airports like KABQ have two ILSs and all others are RNAV RNP approaches. Should these types of approaches be doable with the default GPS? KPSP also has no ILS approaches, just VOR and RNP approaches.
