I've run Make Runways multiple times since installing ImagineSim's KIAD over a year ago and every time I fly into or out of Dulles RC4 only recognizes Rwy's 1 L and 1 R. Rwy 1C is not recognized, even when I want to request a Rwy, 1C is not listed. I enter the correct path for MSFS when running make runway from RC4. And make runways has updated other add-on airports. Any ideas? Todd

Hi, I am using FS9.1, Aerosoft Scenery EDLV, after installing the scenery I run the "Rebuild Database" and added EDLV (EDLV,Niederrhein,124.45,0,129.4,129.4,0,0,130.8,0) to f4.csv, when I realised that RC is unable to identify the airport. EDLV is present in a4.csv and r4.csv. ETUL still is present in f4.csv, but not in a4.csv and ra.csv. When I load a flightplan with destination EDLV, the arrival under "Controller Info" is empty, frequencies are set to zero. Above it says f.i. EGSS to ETUL EGSS, ETUL EDLV is the former ETUL, Laarbach AB (stock FS9 Airport) and the ILS RWY27 is still named "Laarbach" in AFCAD which comes with the scenery. How can I g…

Hello All! This is my first flight with RCV4, and after loading a .PLN file and all, and starting RC, there is no window in FS for radar contact. I am in windowed mode, with MCXP running as admin. I have already tried my default key setting to display the window, but no box appears at all to communicate with ATC. I have MultiCrew XP running as Radar Contact for ATC, that may be an issue. Any suggestions on how I can get up and immerse myself in realism (for the most part)? -abasa12

Hi I have this problem, when try to rebuilt scenery everytime I installed a new scenery, make runways Run 1 second and say me rebuilt is complete, but in the past I saw a small window that elaborate the new scenery. why now this not working?

I have looked thru the forums and may have missed this, but I am running windows vista, and have used RCV for several years, it seems to work fine for a long time then I start to get a message, after I load the flight, that RCV is closing and windows is searching for a solution. It takes any where from about 4 seconds to 20 seconds for this to occur after I have put the flight plan in and then go back into FS2004 to start my flight. Thanks for any help

Hi, I am seriously considering buying Radar Contact and the registered version of FSUIPC. I only use Lockheed Martin's Prepar3d version 1.4, and was wondering if anyone can tell me if the latest version of Radar Contact works with it. If so, do I need to use Flight Sim Estonia's FSX to P3D Migration Tool (which I have already)? I no longer have FSX on my hard drive. Many thanks in advance. Tom.

Hello, I am a builder Cockpit. http://737project.com/ I use Project Magenta I program a flight with fms. I start RC4 Everything goes smoothly I fly with the plane of fms managing data by altitude restrictions rc4. Sometimes rc4 does not validate the checkpoint and asked me to return to the crossing, I can not do otherwise because of rc4 says I can make a direct but does not offer me no key to press Why? If the waypoint is not validated to say how rc4 I want to move on? Thank you for your answers. Sorry for my bad English. Pogo

OK I have reinstalled RC 4.3 a number of times due to this issue but it keeps comming back. RC 4.3 will work fine for awhile then all of a sudden it will stop responding to key presses. Then no matter what I do, change keys, update FSUICP, ect nothing short of a complete reinstall seems to help. Nothing is stealing the keys they just don't make it to RC 4. Thank you,

Hi all, I shall be installing Windows 7 Professional 64-bit around the Holidays, and would like to know if I can use my current RC installation, which is currently on a seperate HDD with all my other flightsim items. Or is it advisable to reinstall along with FSX and everything else? My concern is any existing registry entries with XP that may bugger it up if I leave it as is. Cheers, Mike T.

Would it be possible in future productions for ATC to allow descent at descretion and allow the following of a STAR instead of getting vectored? Also, taxi instructions would be nice.

Hi, I've been using RC since 2008 and I'm very satisfied with the product. I've never had any issues with it up until now. I'm using RC with PMDG B747-400 in FSX. The problem I'm having is when resuming flights from a saved state. If I load the saved flight in FSX (to get FS running) everything is ok in the cockpit, but if I then load the previously saved .rcd file and return to the cockpit, all the gauges in the cockpit are blacked out (i.e. the PFD's/ND's/EICAS). Also both the CDU's are gone. I've saved in the 2D cockpit and in the virtual cockpit, but this doesn't make a difference. I did not have this problem before since I'm already using RC for about…

How do I load FSX flight plans, in .flt format, into RC? I have the latest version of RC 4.3.3845, but on the main page I can only load .pln/.apl files? Yes I have set up the correct path to the .flt/.wx files in RC Options. Jack the Swede in Spain

Hi, I have a Flight Instrument display from Saitek and with this unit I can send key commands using a direct output. Normally the commands go to FSX for things like gear down or to bring up a panel. I would like to assign a key to answer RC back lets say for an acknowledgement number 1 or Number 7 keyboard key. Now I know you may or may not have knowledge of the direct output interface used by Saitek for the FIP but if you do and know how I can send the numbver one keybaord command vis it to RC I would be grateful. Recently I've noticed that RC ATC is commanding go arounds after clearing another plane to land in the same runway I'm landing, but in opposite direction. I have been refreshing RC's runway db whenever I install new scenery. I'm only using World of AI traffic at about 40%. I'm not using any other program to control the AI planes, and finally, I've searched this forum. Any suggestions?

Hi, I am using RC for a while now but I keep getting 2 problems. The first has is that ATC tells me after takeoff that they cannot see my transponder. I have a hardware Opencockpits transponder working thru SIOC and Prosim737. The right squawk code is entered as checked, and is in TA/RA mode. Usualy by pressing the ident button the problem is fixed. Still this should not happen. The second one is I keep getting go around's with the message "gear not lowered, check checklist" I do like the steak medium rare comment But the gear is down, locked, 3 green.. both in Prosim737 and in FS outside view (even in the not used 2D FSX panel) What can I do to fix…

Hi, I recently bought RCV4.3 and I found that not every message gets through to my headphones. For example, I start everything up, then I tune into ATIS. It works fine, and I hear the ATIS, but when I contact clearance delivery, I don't hear my pilot voice and only the ATC reply. Then when I press 7 to acknowledge, I hear my voice but no ATC reply. The RCV4 box shows that ATC has replied by giving me the ground frequency although I do not hear anything. Could someone help me please. Thanks.

I have used RC for several years now and very pleased with it! I have tried to get the hand of the download link for an upgrade to latest version so I can use it for FSX! I sent in a request tvice but never get the link and no reply! Don't know what wrong I have made! I just follow the instruction! "If you have previous versions (4.0, 4.01, 4.2) and you want to upgrade to 4.3, it will be much easier to download the 4.3 install package. After spending several hours getting the MSSTDFMT.DLL issue resolved, I finally got into the first tutorial. As soon as I selected the ATIS report, I heard the normal FSX ATIS information voice being "mixed/overlaid" with the RC4 ATIS information voice. What the heck? Is there a setting somewhere to shut down the FSX ATC voices so that RC4 ATC is all I hear? I must say. my first impressions of this software are not favorable.

Hey guys. 1st Radar contact is great! I am wondering - When I am told to contact the next controller I have to choose "ack and contact" and not "to acknowledge"? Why I am wondering - I use real pit controls for my radio. So if I am on say 118.00 and departure is on 126.75 I would think/hope the proceedure would be "to acknowledge" (ctrl 7) switch the radio and then contact departure (ctrl 1). But I think it wants to do that for me with the "ack and contact". If I do choose Ctrl 7 my pilot voice does read back correctly. But the controller acts like he does not hear it. Hi All, I just bought a new copy of RC--installed it into my new sim which is in my new copy of Win8--did all the instructions as directed, but,--- after I paste in the new reg key the installer closes and when I go to open RC the reg window just appears again. Is there a problem with Win8 and RC? --Most of my other FSX programs are working with Win 8. I will appreciate any help. Thanks Dorn

I have loaded a flight plan KBUF to KPHL several times and get proper instruction to rwy and altitude changes but never vectored to destination. Have tried three times and always wind up flying toward Montreal as if RC4 in clueless as to the KPHL destination. Any suggestions?

Hello everyone, does anyone know how to add airport information into radar contact, As I cant use radar contact to fly from Doncaster robin hood ( EGCN ) as it is not there, so please if possible if someone could advise me on how to do it or know of someone that would be able to do it for me would be much appreciated. After a complete install of windows 7,I have reinstalled R/C and I am getting runtime error75. I have r/clicked to run as addminnistrator and it was working ok as I thought . Got airbourne and then after 3 or 4 mins I got the error75 again. tried to start the flight again ,was ok untill I CTRL shift + K (co pilot comm ) and I got the error again. It is making me click on run as addmiistrator after every reset.I know others have had this problem as I have and got it working but not this time, any help would be very much appreciated thanks David [email protected]

hve thee comps for my cockpit so far i loaded rc4 on on withoutt any problem, now ive decided to load it on my third computer thats only going to run rc4,efb, and ase. when i put in my reg key it goes off screen, then when i start it back up it asks for the key again over and over. how do i fix this? thank you
