I'm embarassed to bring this up again but I cannot make the Ctrl-Shift-; function Save as I think it should. I use the technique with FSX running (OS Windows 7) but I'll be damned if I can find and re-load that file. Hi JD, Bob guys Just after some advice, When RC is running the option window often presents me with various options to proceed with ATC namely: press 1 to proceed press 7 to proceed unfortnately when I select GSX the options window it presents are ALSO numbered form 1 through to 6. Now when I select/press no1 for example it activates the option in Radar Contacts window instead (RC4 seems to take priority). So is there any way I can change the option nos in RC4 so they don't conflict with GSX........................eg SHIFT 1 or CTRL SHIFT 1 Thanks for any help and advice John p.s ive also posted on the GSX forum to see if anything can…

Hi, Recently reinstalled RC which is currently version 4.3.3843. I am running W7 x64. rcv4.exe is run as administrator. When clicking the check for updates button, I get a 'Run-time error '5' : RadarContact.rcv4startup.command10.click" error message and RC closes. The rcv4.log contains : debug on RC Version 4.3.3843 June 6, 2006 E:\rcv4\rcv4.exe Inet1.url = http://www.jdtllc.com/v4/rc_version.txt checking >>>>>>>>>>>>>>ERROR> 5 RadarContact RadarContact.rcv4startup.command10.click Advice please? Recently I purchased ORD and JFK Airport addons from FsDreamTeam. Well detailed airports. Only problem, RC does not recognize ORD airport Runways. I got taxi instruction from RC, but I cannot get clearance for "Position and Hold" and " Cleared toTake Off" . Is there any thing can be done, RC can recognize the runways? Thanks

My Friends, I have a problem with RC: I use FsBuild 2.4 for my flight plan. The generated flight plan used in FSX, Radar Contact and MD-82 FMC are same.(All Flight plans are same) Sometimes when I take off from the runway that Radar Contact tell me to do then it is different from that one FSBuild made in my flight plan (FSBuild put the SID on my plan) after take off ATC(RC) tell me to contact departure and after that there isn't any heading instruction and I have to turn to reach the first waypoint that is in my Flight plan. I use MD-82 and I turn on the Auto pilot and it easilly start to navigate from first waypoint to the second one and I am on my Flight plan afte…

Hello, I am running Fs9.1, Windows7 64bit, FSUIPC 3.999 registered, version 4.6 of Make Runways, rebuilt the scenery DB. Flightplan is loaded into FS9 too. With this configuration RC worked very fine until today. After clearance for takeoff, RadarContact stops with the above mentioned runtime error. If I try to start RC again, beeing in the air, the same happens after clearance. I have no idea, how to solve this problem... Regards Christian

Hello guys. When trying to load a flightplan i get the 73 error. I read the sticky in this forum about how to solve this problem but i cant find where to get the "msstdfmt.dll" file from. There are only one link provided in the sticky thread and that link tells me the site does no longer exist. So does anyone know where i can get this file from? Thanks for your time!

Hi there everyone, Just purchased RC last week and got my activation key, pasted it in and clicked but nothing.. The screen disappears but does not go to the next screen, I get no error msgs of any kind. What am I missing here. WinXP SP3, FS9, AVG security thanks in advance Pete Stuiver

Hi, until today I have been using RCv4.3 without problem. When I tried to run RC it tried to run another program I have, namely "Roxio Creator Starter". Both have been installed for a while and neither are new installs. I now cannot run RC due to this problem, even after uninstalling and reinstalling I have the same problem. Has anyone else had anything like this and if so, how do I stop it? When I click on the RC icon, instead of running RC it tries to start the Roxio program which leads to a error message but in the background RC is running but unusable. Any advise would be great. Hi guys, I'm having a weird issue that I never had before even after years of usage. I cant hear any voices at all anymore. I can hear the sounds from the sim just fine and also everyting from FS2crew NGX. Everything else seems to be working just fine so I dont understand why I cant hear ATC. I'm sure it's something I did but can't seem to figure out what. This is the sound setup I have: Sim sounds: Speakers ATC: Should be headset FS2Crew: Head set Any tips would greatly be appreciated. I've been away from simming for awhile, and after upgrading my rig I wanted to get back into it - especially after the recent release of REX Essential. I managed to dig up the original email I received that contains my product key, but when I paste it in the appropriate field after starting RC (as admin), the program exits (as it's supposed to), but when I restart RC, it behaves as if I never entered the information. I tried the default install to C:\Programs Files(x86)\rcv4x, and also c:\rcv4x but no luck in either case. I'm running Windows 7 Home. Do I need to re-register to get a new key or what?

Hello everyone! About four months ago i bought the PMDG 737-800. Now, four months later, i wish to add one more step of realism combining FSX with Radarcontact. Before buying it though, i want to make sure that it´ll work with the PMDG´s FMC. Is it possible to combine the FMC with Radarcontact? How do you setup the flight plan? Is it generated from whitin Radarcontact, or can i enter the sids and stars the way I´ve always done it? Thanks! :)

Hi I'm having a few problems with the above combination. I frequently find RC, during the descent leaves you quite high say 9000ft close to the airfield, then brings you down to final approach altitude say 3000 or 3500ft requiring full Spoilers to get down. On one occasion into Cardiff I even had to lower the gear early to get below the glide slope. One other problem is being vectored by Approach from Base to the the runway QDM. I am normally at about 180 kts at this point and often told to turn too late, overshooting the Localiser. Hi folks, always after importing a flightplan at RC and activating it FSX is showing me that my airplane (still in parking position) crashed. At the same time RC is showing me an error message "runtime error '9' RadarContact.fsuipc.rcv4code". Im using Win 7 (64bit), have the newest FSUIPC installed and all other addons run well. Hopefully you can help, I did not find any helpful information about that online. Cheers empuries

Are there still any remaining problems with the format of FSX or FS9 .pln files being loaded into RC4.3? We have had a few posts regarding this. Thanks for responding.

What steps are needed to make Radar Contact V4 work with Prepare3d V1.3?

RC4 will not recognized aircraft headings. Example, Departure tells me to turn to a heading of 245 degrees. I do it. With the aircraft (PMDG 737 NGX) on the correct heading, Departure tells me over and over again to turn to the same heading and finally tells me how stupid I am flying. I have tried numerous flight plans. Same problem with them all. I have reinstalled FSUIPC. This use not to be a problem. I have evidently done something that is causing this persistent RC4 problem. Any solution ideas appreciated. Thanks, zach

I am in the process of backing up files for a new computer build and can't seem to locate my original install file for RC4. Can someone please post the exact name of the file so I can search for it. I have tried the obvious RC4 but no luck. Thanks Ken

Hello guys, After a long absense from simming, I recently decided to get back into it. I re-purchased this product a little over a week ago and can't get a regristration code to activate the product. I tried using the installer prompts and I also tried sending a email manually, but never got a response. Please help, thanks.

I used Airport Design Editor to change the tower frequency at KANE from 126.05 to its real world frequency of 132.4. When FSX starts, it rebuilds its scenery database. Vanilla FSX ATC then recognizes 132.4 as the new tower frequency.I then exited FSX. I then started RC (after running makerwys) and rebuilt the scenery database using the button on the RC screen, then started FSX and loaded a flight plan into RC. However, RC is still using the previous tower frequency. Is there something else that needs to be done to get the new tower frequency into RC? I know I can put it in on the controllers screen, but what about getting it in there as the new default?1

Hello, i,m trying to use RC4 with a flight plan from fs commander. It will work fine unless I try and select a runway in the controller info page. Then i get this error path/file access error ( run time error 75) I run as admin and have no anti virus on.Thoughts?Thanks,Tom Davis

Hello, I purchased my copy of RC4.2 in 2006 via regualar delivery (dowload version didn't exist those days). Today, after submitting of my name, the address on the initial order and appoximate time of purchase I requested the link for v4.3 that I received from JD relatively fast. After RC was intalled on my PC, I was routinely asked to submit Order ID together with my name that I did. To my suprise I received a message from JD that ID is invalid because of some "alpha characters".
