Hi, i've been fighting to get rc4x to work with ultimte traffic 2 since i purchased it a few months ago. I stumbled across an old topic about this issue. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/256017-ut2-callsigns-and-rc/ Thats the old topic. Anyway it was discussed about the missing airlines that needed to be added to your c4.csv for UT2 to recognize them. They came up with a pretty good list of airlines that were screwed up some how and these are all the same airlines im hearing pheonetic callsigns for. I followed their instructions and edited my c4.csv exactly at they showed with notepad but for some reason i can only add a few airlines. When i try to add more i get a run…

Hello, I am flying with the Wilco Airbusses 319-321 in FSX while using Radar Contact and have the following issue: The FMCG automatically activates the final approach phase at a certain point in the flight plan (deceleration point) before the arival airport (it is reducing speed, it locks in the programmed approach runway and sets the ILS). Unfortunately, Radar Contact usually requests to contact Approach only after this point. So, when I receive the runway to use for the approach, the Final Phase including runway and ILS etc. is already set which cannot be changed w/o starting a GO Around procedure which actually resets the Final Approach phase. Does anyone know …

I've a new computer with Windows 7, and have installed with run as administrator .Things work except for Radar Contact. When I try to get ATC clearance I get 'runtime error 75'. I've now gone to the general options page and pressed the voice test button. This brings up 'runtime error 75 RadarContact rcv4module.atc_ack'. Any ideas on how I should clear this? I've used Radar Contact with FSX for some years now, but with Windows XP, and had no problems there. Help please Bob

Greetings! I recently re-installed my registered version of FSUIPC v3.99 in FS9 (along with WideFS). My OS is Win 7 64bit Ultimate. I am using Radar Contact V4. The problems that I'm having is that the Adv Display window will not allow me to dock it, and once I close it, it pops back up after several seconds. There's probably a setting I'm missing FSUIPC or FS9, but I can't seem to figure it out. I did try a search on this topic in this forum. I got a lot of returns, but every link I clicked on in the google search window took me to a "Page not found" message. Hey guys. Really quickly, (I apologize if this question has been asked: I looked back 3 pages to see if anyone asked the same thing, but it didn't look like it) is it possible to get ATC to stop giving me this command? An hour ago I did an approach into JFK and I got the "Descend to 12,000. Start down now please I need you down in 20 miles or less." - I know what that means, it means idle thrust, full speed brakes and maximum descent rate. In the B738, however, it's hard to do more than 2500 ft/min descent rates without gaining more speed than you can handle. I busted the altitude restriction at a -2700ft/min descent rate. When the tower issues the landing clearance it says "winds xx from yy - cleared to land". Does RC take this wind from the destination airport or simple from the actual aircraft position? (I had the effect that there was a wind 120/4 shown on ND down to the airport but the tower gave me a "winds calm".) Sorry, forgot to say: FSX, AS2012, latest FSUIPC, DWC

Did I set something wrong, or if not, how would you deal with this? I flew from KATL to KLAX and everything was great until my arrival in to LAX. I did have RC set up with NOTAMS enabled for KLAX and I flew the SEAVU2.TNP arrival. I was able to meet the specific crossing restrictions all the way down as I was given step descents to 11,000. i crossed the last fix (SEAVU) at 12k as required on my descent down to 11,000. That's where the problem began. I neeed to continue a descent pretty quickly to get down to around 7,000 to cross FUELR which was the IAP to 25L. Again, ATIS advised 25L for the arrival - that's what I had set up. But when I contacted Approach I was …

Hello I have not done a RC4 flight for ages but did one tonight with 737 NGX, fs2crew and AS2012 (WideFS), RC4 (WideFS) I dont recall any traffic information on the ground or in the air for the entire flight, i did receive chatter and full ATC and I have the appropriate boxes ticked it RC4, RC4 ATC vectored me on the localizer but there was 4 aircraft on final and although TCAS was going nuts nothing from the controllers, not sure what is going on, cheers Wayne

I was approaching EGLL from the south last waypoint OCK for EGLL 27R. I was cleared down to FL120 from FL130 "in 30 miles or less" I reached FL120 in less than 10 miles.....about 50 miles DME from VOR LON. I was then told I had missed my crossing point........???. I was then given an easterly vector away from London "maintain FL120" After flying this course until LON 50 miles DME I gave up and declared "Minimum Fuel" I was instructed "fly direct EGLL....maintain FL120." ..........................did so to intercept ILS 27R. No instruction to contact approach was forthcoming or descent instructions either until it was clear to me I was not going to get in at all. …

I'm new to RC and really like it. Compared to VATSIM the pace is so much more realistic, at least most of the time. There is something I've noticed concerning ATIS and have a question. I've found that on both arrival as well as departure the actual runway I'm assigned is different than what ATIS is giving. Also, it seems the same thing is happening with Clearance Delivery. I listen to ATIS, then set up my DP for runway X, or inbound set up my nav / ILS for whatever ATIS gives and then the controller assigns something different? I'm using ASE and it has ample time to fully integrate with FS before I use RC. Is this normal, any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you. …

Hello, 10 Nm before the next step climb in the progress page I ask the controller for a clearance from FL350 to FL370. He answered me "KLM 804 I have your request" In the meantime there is a handover to a new controller who does not give me a new clearance to this new flightlevel and I have to ask again and then finally it is granted. Why do I have to ask again while the old controller already said that he had my request? Thanks Nico

I am running RC on an HP/Compaz mini along with IYP. RC is working ok but the problem is that the Controller window is a different size than the main window. Because it is bigger I connot see the bottom with the buttons and the departure procedure selection. Is there a way to change the size of this window in a config file? Unfortunately, the mackine seems only to support one resolution.

What stupid face I had once I loaded the flight plane that supposed to be a VFR one and the ATC was taking me to 000 altitudes instead of 500 feet ones... I decided to cancel the IFR when RC shut donw!!!!!!!!!!!!!??? So I read after that and RC is not prepared for VFR!!! So the money I paid for now is useless because I fly 99% in VFR. GRRR!! I read that there was going to be an update to support VFR and someone said that in version 5 was going to be. I hope that 5 version is 4.5.. because if it is 5.0 I am not going to pay more money for the addom. Hi, So for me the problem is when I use RC and AS2012 in DWC mode, When I reach 50nm from my destination RC take winds, temperature, qnh from here. An example to be clear: If my destination is LSGG, at 50nm from my destination RC have to look at the LSGG metar to assign a runway, it should take the metar of LSGG, instead of that it takes the weather which is below me at the altitude I am...so if I am at 12000 it takes wind, temperature, qnh at this moment. So if the wind at this altitude is the opposite to the wind surface in LSGG, the runway in use taken by Radar contact will be wrong, you see.
