I use FSNavigator in FS( and like it because it will put in SID/STAR points into the flightplan. Unfortunately, FSX isn;t compatible with FSNav. I currently am running Radar Contact 4.0.3675. I understand how I have to get to 4.3.I will be using Radar Contact with FS2004 and FSX. I have a registered version of FSUIPC for FSX and FS2004. My question is related to FSUIPC. I am using version 3.51 dated 12/09/2005 with my current FS2004 and Radar Contact 4.0. My FSUIPC is a registered version. Can I still use FSUIPC version 3.51 when I upgrade to Radar Contact 4.3 for FS2004?Thanks In advance to all who reply.Bill

The problem only occurs from airports located within the Portland scenery from http://www.flightscenery.com that I've just installed.I start RC and load the flight plan, start FS9 and setup the flight at a KPDX gate, switch out and start rc and when I return to FS9 the plane has moved to N0.00 W0.00.After a few seconds, FS9 reloads the scenery and puts the plane back where it started but RC has crashed.I've rebuilt the RC scenery database after installing Portland scenery.Any ideas?RC is a great product btw

I continously get ALTITUDE BUST messages even if I am spot on the issued altitude. I keep refreshing the QNH using B-key. Is there a conflict between FS9 ad RC or am I doing something wrong? /Lars

jd, I downloaded version 4.3 and installed it per the instuctions. The problem is when I click on RCv4.3 it asks me for my Key. I copied my key and pasted it but the program just closes down. I bought a new hard drive and partitioned it into 2 drives: G & H. I installed FSX on drive G. FS9 and RCv4.2 are on drive C. I copied over RCv4.2 on to the G drive per the instructions and unzipped the new RCv4.3 onto the G drive (G:Program FilesRCVX. I intend to keep using RCv4.2 with FS9 for a while and they're on the C drive. Since FSX is on the G drive along with the copied & converted RCv4.3, do I need another key? Can anyone tell me how to disable FSX's ATC program? In FS9 it was easy. I don't see any place to eliminate the FSX ATC voices.Took my first flight with FSX & RCv4.3 and all went perfectly -- except I had two sets of ATC going. Talk about chatter!

So what are the consequences for NOT checking the 'AI Interaction' box?I take it that by checking it, it alters the AI behavior so there is less interference from them when taxiing, approach etc. Sometimes they seem to hang in the sky until I land. Is that the intention?Doesn't seem 'real world' like. If I uncheck the box is there something worse to expect?Thanks

BTW,In case you didn't know, if you're using RCv4.3 on a WideClient and you have mapped a drive-letter to the FS9-share on the WideServer, when you press the "Rebuild Scenery" button, you can simply press "No" to the "Is this a WideFS" question. Then enter the mapped (non UNC) path to the FS9 folder. It will then automatically run makerwys.exe for you in the FS9 folder and then copy back the appropriate files, just as if RC was a local installation. Ie., I answer "No" then enter "Z:Flight Simulator 9". You can not use a UNC path such as "WinXP_PCFlight Simulator 9". For this type of path, you must answer "Yes" to the "WideFS" question. Hi, just curious to know how much "room for error" you have when you are cleared to taxi to the active runway from the gate since ground controller does not provide you with the taxiways to use? Can you get to the runway any way you want as long as you are heading towards the runway, or does ground control expect you to taxi a certain route to the runway?Thanks,Bill

I have read all of the posts about this. I have installed everything according to your instructions and have double and triple checked everything to make sure it is all in the right place. When I ran rebuild data for FS9 I got the error and it did not rebuild. I tried your suggestion to say yes for the widefg question, and there is no longer an error but the rebuild is not happening. I tried again and again to rebuild FS9 saying yes or no to the widefg question, there is no longer an error, but the rebuild is not happening. I manually ran Makerwy.exe from the FS9 directory and it is ver 3.9.7 and it runs OK but running the rebuild data from the configurator will not …

Hi JD,I was one of the people who downloaded the original 4.3 release. I've had no problems with it when running FSX and wonder, do I need to upgrade to the latest 4.3 or can I stay with my current set-up? Will this cause problems for any updates etc. further down the line? Thanks in advanceSteve

Hi,I'm running rc4.2 with fs9 on W2K. I installed Ultimate Traffic a month or so ago and have been getting intermittent rc crashes during flights which I didn't have before - rc has been usually very reliable. Usually 10 or so minutes into the flight but the timing isn't consistent. On several crashes I got a Run-time Error 5 - RadarContact_fsuipc.rcV4code message. Sometimes there is no error message - rc simply disappears. I had fsuipc 3.709 (I think) and changed to 3.71 and have only had the crashes with no error message but I haven't been running long with this fsuipc version.Seems to happen with any plane I use and I think both center and approach controllers. I have upgraded according to instructions. Everything seemed to work fine. Makerwys ran without problems. I did try a short test flight (FSX) from PAEN -> Panc (direct)I used Active sky for weather (poor conditions with snow)FPS locked at 24 and very stable.RC seemed to work fine, but the update of the display was slooooooow, app 20-30 seconds. If I waited to answer untill I could see the options in the display I would get "I say again" message. When I approached PANC I called for a short final, where after RC stopped responding.
