Hello,My name is Ed Lewis and I just recived my copy of Radar Contact V4.I'm working my way through the manual and I came to the setting up of ADV setup page 33 thru 35. I have not been able to get any thinglike described here to happen on my screen. The long ADV window will appear for a moment then disappear so that I can never get it sized or have the right click nemu come up.What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance,Ed Lewis (edl)Lancaster, CA

Hey JD. While enroute from KSEA to KSFO last night I picked up the ATIS 60nm out and it said 28L was in use. After I was handed off to approach the controller told me to expect vectors to 10L. I had Active Sky running in the background and the weather was down to minimums. Rwy 10L has an RNAV/GPS approach. I was flying the Flight1 MD-80 which doesn't have an RNAV or a GPS. I requested the ILS for Rwy 28L and the controller cleared me for the full approach. I contacted him again asking for vectors and he told me to expect vectors for 28L and then almost immediately afterward he told me to expect vectors for 10L again. Is there a wish-list/idea box for new features to be incorporated into V5?

HiWhen the Pressure changes as you climb with the default B737 you supposed to press "B" and the altimeter pressure should change automatically. I have noticed though that when the controller calls the pressure even when I press "B" it always goes to 29.92 although the pressure is different. What cause this any ideas?Stelios

Hi everyone,I'm a V3 user since it first came out and I'm really happy with it- it's undoubtfully the best program ever made for MSFS.I'm also a user of MSFS 2004 and unfortunately after seeing how FSX works on my powerful NEW computer I'm gonna stay with it for a while.Regarding this I'd be glad if anyone could tell me if I should get V4 or wait for V5 since I really enjoy V3...particulary aside interaction with AI why is V4 so much better than V3 if at all?And also a question for jd- What are the main things that are going to make V5 special?ThanksShomron

Hi, I have RCv4, since it was released. All updates included (including FSX temp update). 2 days ago the sound stoped working. Everything else that uses saund works perfect, but when I click in the sound icon to get the callsign it just makes a wird 1 sec noise and stops....if I start the program is the same thing, I will get the instruction by text but no voice. Using the backups, I can go back to ver. 4.2 (latest for FS9 and same thing happens)Now the weird part, for some reason I have a backup Winwood folder inside rcv4 folder (Winwood backup). If I rename this folder to only winwood and the current winwood to "winwood backup" everything works, without of course all th…

JD:You have sent me 2 Serial Keys but My RC4 seems to accept it, But nextime I start up RC It ask for the key again. So I am in a non ending loop.Would like to hear from you soonest so I can use RC4 bought almost a year ago. So none of these keys work, unless My CD Rom is screwed up!!!!!!Assuming this eventually can be solved what happens if I use the new Flight 1 Century Auto Pilot. Can RC4 be used ????. Hi JDI was doing a flight from KCLE to KPHL and when I was being handed off during the approach phase of the flight the controller told me to contact approach on ***.** but the FREQ shown in the ADV Disp for the next controller was a different FREQ ---I could not figure out how to contact the next controller--I changed com 1 manually but that did not work--eventually I asked for vectors for landing and was sent round to a differeent runway--any thoughts about this problemCheers

Maybe it's this way in the real world but I find there is no such thing as an easy straight in approach with RC. Today's example has me going from VABB-OERK, approaching from the southeast, I was cleared to 33L. Doesn't get much straighter than that. I had descended to the specified altitude and was traveling about 200 kts. about 25 mi out, I'm directed to turn to heading 020 and we stayed like that til 32 mi out and past the airport! Now directed by to heading 240 for a sharp right turn to interecept 33L. It's not a biggie, but I notice it consistently that you are veered way off your intercept course then have to swiftly swing back. A 747 doesn't corner like a BMW…

Flying from KORD to EDDF in the PMDG 744.Approaching EDDF was told to descend and maintain 11,000 and was also told what the QNH was. Set it to the proper QNH (was NOT using inches of mercury). Leveled off at 11,000 and was informed that I busted ALT. Checked with in flight weather, the QNH was set correctly however, I heard the pilot call out that our ALT was 10,500.What might have caused this?EDIT *Might have found the answer* - My bad me thinks - Where do I find the transition altitudes for overseas? Hi JDI rebuilt the data base for RC4.3---and my flight plans now load--but I don't understand how to "make sure makerwys 3.97 or greater is in the root of the fs directory" and after I load and start RC--when I go back to the flight sim the time of day always changes to a dark night and when I reset for the day the plane starts out by falling out of the sky into the ocean. Help!

Hi all!I've had RC4 installed for a couple of weeks now and because of time constraints have been unable to get to the bottom of the problem I'm having when I execute the program and run FS9. I am still getting the old FS9 ATC on top of RC4 and RC4's window isn't legible.Do I need to download a new FSUIPC in order for it to work? I have ActiveSky and it works with the FSUIPC.dll (from Microsoft) which I currently have installed. Do I need something different?Thanks in advance for any and all help! Hi JDI've been using RC V4.2 for about six weeks and overall I think it's brilliant. You guys have done a commendable job on something that must be very difficult to get right in all situations. Until recently, I have been using it in conjuction with Aeroworx B200 Super King Air and Flight Deck Companion. After a lot of tweaking (mostly with FDC) and getting used to the more accurate procedures within RC4, I have been having a whale of a time enjoying the extra realism created by the combination of FDC's checklist calls and RC4's ATC interactivity. I've even matched the voices in both programs so that you can (almost) believe it is the same co-pilot running through the ch…

Hello JD, hope you had a good Thanksgiving. Question. I was flying from EGCC to LFPG and the controller assigned me an altitude. 6000 I believe. I was maintaining 6000 and I kept getting chewed out for busting altitude even thought my indicated was correct. I double checked my altimeter so I know that wasn't the issue. Any ideas?
