Hi, I have flown a fair number of flights now but I have never had the "3-PD" option appear on my intial descend from cruise instruction. Do I need to enable it somehow? I couldn't find anything in the manual.Thx.Torsten

JD/others,I purchased RC4 the other day and anxiously await its arrival. Actually, the waiting period is a bonus since it has allowed me to do some reading of the manual. I'm contemplating buying RC4 as it looks great. I noticed on the website's home page that it is compatible with Traffic 2005 and AISmooth. However, it appears that RC4 fulfills the function of AISmooth if the "Interact with AI" option is checked, rendering AISmooth redundant. Am I correct in this?Also, I see that v5 is being developed. Any idea when it will be released?Thanks.

Hi guys,I've got the strangest problem. I just downloaded 4.3 and was going to fire it up for the firdt time. When I clicked the shortcut, it launch a "Turbo Tax-Is it Deductable" program. So I thought I might have screwed up the shortcut, so I launched RC from the .exe file....same thing. Ideas anyone?Also...I "reduce/drop down" FSX by using "alt-tab" so I can start RC. But when I try to bring FSX back up, it just hangs. Does anyone have a cause for this?Thanks,Mike

At say 2500 feet im told to contact departure, My co pilot contacts DEP but gives my altitude as the assigned rather than what Im passing. Net result Im often cleared to flight levels that are too high too quick and also puts me into conflict with other traffic.Iv often being cleared to my CRZ FL before the end of the SID. Even though RC is aware im flying a published DEP route.Any ideasJames

I was doing a KORD to VHHH flight and wondered if flying over Mongolia or China would trigger a metric altitude environment or at least the "strange" levels (such as 347)that mya be found flying there...nothing unusual happened, all calls were still standard FLs.So I assume RadarContact is unable to simulate this environment.No problem at all, the flight was seamless and perfect.Just out of curiosity.

Oh ma gawd! On approach to KIAD from LOWW, I was vectored to 19L, everything cool. As I'm about to touchdown I see a 757 barreling down the runway towards me. He slid over the top of me and we just missed! On landing, I'm seeing AI's are now directed for northbound t/o. Meanwhile, there is a United 747 landing on 12. Were they in the process of changing the airport around? The winds were 202 @ 6 which would tell me SOUTHBOUND landing. Any ideas?

i have never had a problem with radar contact until FSX came out , all i want to do is upgrade radar to FSX, and i did all the things in your read me file.started to work, but im not for sure it worked correctly.so im starting from scratch from your version 4 cd.went to site to upgrade to 4.01, appeared to work fine.then from 4.01 to 4.2 everything went to the pits, never seen this kind of information that they want.i have to run a file in fsx root directory , makerwys.exe, i did that and the other things requested of me and i still get an error.also how do i send you a log.and will otto work with the default planes in FSX.thanks...............Robert

Where does RC pick up the airline and aircraft info from on the AI planes? We had a discussion last week I think about Pan Am jets being called 'Air Force' and this does seem to be the case. Today,though, I flew a Pan Am L-1011 from KJFK to LOWW and was ID'd as 'Pan Am' the whole way. Maybe if I change the ATC_airline to 'Clipper' in stead of Pan Am?

Everytime I rebuild the database 4.3 ask me for the path to FSX. I thought after giving 4.3 the path it would store it for future use. Is there a problem that it can not store the path to FSX?

Would it be possible to build the RC 5 interface as a gauge or at least configurable from with in FSX? The reason I ask is that FSX is a bear when it comes to task switching... not your fault, but maybe you can work around it??Maybe RC can see when a flight plan gets loaded from with in FSX???Just thinking out loud...

Have flown a number of flights with the new Radar Contact version for FSX with no problems. Am also using FSMetro for weather. Today while starting up a GPS flight from Orlando to Key West, Florida. Radar Contact stops and disconnects while getting clearance with a run time error. See attached snap shot of error. (Runtime error 76)I tried it several times and always get the same error. Any idea what is causing this?

OK...silly question from a newbie to RC...To load a flight plan into RC i have to point it to the correct folder....The plans i have created and saved in FS9 are in what folder...under FS9 i can only find the myflights folder which are saved flights not plans....where are my saved plans???Thank youDave
