Hello All, I have been trying to load a saved RC rcd file but can't. I can save it no problem with the FS9 default Flights /Save flight menu. The file is being saved in the Documents and settings/flight simulator files folder and is also visible when I open the folder but if I try to load it from the RC4 menu then when prompted to "open" file, I get an error message saying the file could not be found. I have read the instructions in the manual and have tried all save possibilities but still can not load one. I would love to use this feature so any insight would be appreciated.Regards: Zsolt

Hi all guys!! I've got a question: can I use the "Auto-update" function of FS Realtime with RC? I have seen that FS Realtime has been tested with RC, but the manual says that time changes during a RC session can create mistakes. Thank you all and sorry for my poor English!! RC is great!!

I just recieved my copy of RC4 in the mail and have installed it. I sent my email and recieved a registration key. However every time I enter it in, the registration box closes, and I restart RC4 and have to register again. I have read in the forum where others have experienced this same issue. I have tried multiple times to make it work but with no luck. My product ID is as follows. -1865162714Any help I could get would be very much appreciated. Thanks,Sterling

Hi Guys,I've been considering purchasing RC for some time now due to frustrating instructions from the default ATC and would like to know if RC will overcome them e.g.Approaching GCLA for landing rwy1 and ATC wanted to keep me at 6500' even when I was only 5 miles out which would then have meant a 'dive' in.... or the infamous direction stright through the mountains!?Will it sort these issues? Many thanksMike

With RC, how do I fly a Concorde flight correctly? That is, how am I able to file an initial altitude of around FL240? Then climb to FL490 and simply drift upwards from there with out altitude assignments, and finally descend to ~FL350 at a certain point and continue normally?Ryan GamurotLucky to live Hawai'ihttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg

For some reason, RC4 is not creating .RCD files for me.Here's what I'm doing :1. Starting a RC4 flight.2. Hitting CTL-ALT-; and I get a message saying the flight has been saved (with the RC4 format **$**$)3. Exit all, and restart FS9 and RC4.4. Click on the ".RCD" button and get the explorer window to seach for the file. But there are no .RCD files to be found !!I have done a search on my entire computer, there are NO .RCD files.I do however find .flt files with the correct file names. What am I doing wrong?

Don't know what I may have done wrong but here's what happened>I filed for an IFR VOR to VOR flight from Anchorage (PANC) to Kodiak (PADQ) at 12000 ft. ( Was going to fly the Baron but changed my mind and flew the Lear). After being vectored on route by ATC, I requested a higher altitude of 17000 ft. which was approved.Somewhere along the flight I no longer heard from ATC. Never a command to reduce altitude, so I flew all the way to Kodiak and at least 15 miles past it at 17000 ft.My question is why did I lose ATC control? As I neared the field (at 17000 ft) I had the menu option of either a visual approach or an IAP approach. Didn't do either one. It was supper t…

Hi AllI have had radar contact for over a year now, But for some reason after I create my flight using FSBUILD and then loading it into RC, The atc at my destination airport ALWAYS turn me away from the airport for sometimes up to a 100 miles and then I never hear from them again, I am getting so fed up with this as I dont know the reason for this so I end up reverting back to the FS9 default ATC or cancelling mt IFR and going it alone, Any ideas, Thanks Bill (BP)

Hi JD,As mentioned above, sometimes, an airline callsign is spoken correctly, sometimes it is spelled by ATCExample: "Gaia" or even "Golf Alpha India Alpha..."My question: must the airline callsign be written in capital letters in the aircraft.cfg? or is there another reason for that?Any help greatly appreciated.RegardsJean-Claude (LSZH)

Has any one else tried changing the default "1" and "2" key strokes to new ones in FSX. When I make the changes and it says you must restart FS so I shut it down and RC also and then restart I get the commands in the window that I expect "CS1", "CS2", but nothing happens when I use them. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Thanks,Larry

Hi, I just bought Radar Contact, and I've followed the manual, but when I need to get the ADV Display to work...it doesn't. When I go to Modules in FS9 and click it, it hides it in the background so I can't see it. It's visible for a split second, but that's it. I'm running an Nvidia 8800GTS with the latest Nvidia drivers.-Tim

In the few flights I have flown so far, I find I am cleared for takeoff, given some altitude instructions, but never given vectors and then told to "resume own navigation". Areyou just to assume you are to fly your flight plan right after takeoff? My only frame of reference is MS9 default ATC and my flights on VATSIM where you are instructed to resume your own navigation; prior to that, you are to be under ATC's direction.

Page 35 of the RCV4.pdf manual says "Do not change time parameters in FS after RC launch, especially if you intend on saving a rcd file for later use."Does this statement refer to changing the FS "Time of Day", the FS Simulation Rate, or some other parameter? Thanks for any comments.

When I restart using a saved 'RCD' file with the PSS 757, I cannot get the autopilot to work at all. Yet if I save the situation using the normal FS9 save facility, it works ok.Would appreciate any thoughts/help.

Hello, I fly with RC4 since some weeks now. I apreciate a lot the big enhancement this program brings in comparison with the default ATC.I just have 3 issues I could not solve so far:1) AI ttraffic.Like for some other users, the I traffic is absolutely "transparent" to RC4. I have read that this issue is a bit mysterious. I just bring some precision which hopefully might help.NB: I have FSUIPC 3.71 registered- If I am in position at departure runway, I will get the "line up and wait even if another plane is on short final below DH...- If a plane is lined up ready for take off, I will also be cleared to line upIn both situations I never hear radio exchang between tower an…

A nice feature with FSX is the ability to use headsets for voice, Is there any way to tie that feature into RC and FSX?Thanks,Larry

Hi, Great product but I'm having a problem with AI aircraft running into me on the ground, example being - 2nd in the queue at the holding point to RW29 at LOWW for a flight to EGLL, already got confirmation from the controller that I'm 2nd in the queue then a Cessna Grand Caravan just drives stright into the back of me , I fly with BA virtual and it's OSP software obviously then recognises this as a crash - most annoying, I've tried this twice and cannot think of way round it other than removing AI traffic (kinda defeats the purpose of RC4 though).Any help would be appreciated.Cheers,Phil McAlpine.

Hi,Just installed RC4 and have installed the reg key, I got the MSSTDFMT.DLL error but I have managed to overcome this thanks to the FAQ's however I am having a problem with the Adv display, when I go to the modules tab and select ADV display the display appears very briefly - I am unable to resize or right click on the display and now my ALT key function does not work. When I move the cursor around the area where the display should be I do get the resize arrow and can then resize the 'invisible' ADV display however no matter what I try I cannot right click to dock the display ( no drop down menu appears). Can anyone help. Thanks,Phil McAlpine

I have read before about STARS approches with RC4 but I still am confused and wonder what others do.Often as I am approching a airport (often after a long haul) I find the a different rwy active to the one I planned for originally (choosen from wind dir at the time)in FSBuild to sent to Radar Contact, I change my STAR and Rwy in the FMC for the new approach but the STAR appoach starts quite along way out so as I follow it the RC ATC tells me to turn heading XXX so I can't follow the STAR until much closer which by then I am way off course.I have tryied excluding STARs from the flight plans and just enter one when I get confirmation or certain because of wind direction the…

I just wanted to know if the new version still worked with RC. I haven't tried yet and think it will work but with all the issues with FSUIPC recently, I just wanted to check.Ryan GamurotLucky to live Hawai'ihttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg

Hi there.First off, thanks for great product; really puts the default FS9 atc to shame!Anyway, just made my first flight using version 4.2.3831, and have a question regarding the flight critique which, from searching both the manual and forum, seems not to have been answered. (sorry if i've overlooked a post, and it has infact been answered)I run FS fullscreen, so the transparent, non advdisplay module, option is used (registered FSUIPC)Upon a flight into KAST (uncontrolled approach, no tower), I did an IAP approach to the ILS, and then cancelled IFR when visual with runway (testing things out).As expected, I was told to switch to advisory, and sqk vfr which I did. At thi…

Hi all,,First, I am a long time user of FS but until very recently I have only flown the small GA aircraft. I have read a lot about RC and ordered it, and am waiting for delivery. Reading posts in this forum and others it seems that a lot of you don't fly the MSFS default aircraft (commerical). I have flown the default 737 a little but as I want to start flying long range, probably just North America, was thinking maybe there is some aircraft available that would be more realistic. While payware is not out of the question, to begin with I think freeware would be my option. So What are you guys flying for routes around the US.any suggestions would be welcomeThanks.Marsha…

Hi Everyone:When I am flying a complete STAR in RC 4, is there a way to request a "direct to point X..." along the STAR so as to shorten the STAR if it is a long one (if ATC can accomodate me at the time of course)? How do I make this request if there is a way (what menu screen would it be on)? Thanks!Chris Catalano
