JD, I hate to bother you, but I think something is wrong with my request. I frequently (every couple of monthes) reformatt and usually have a response from a your automated server within hours with a new key. This time, I waited around 2 days, and resent. Still no key.Looked around the forums and decided to give my spams a check, nothing was in there. I also think that I am entering it correctly. I looked at my previous requests and the only difference is the number and the dash in front of the number. I just copy and paste from the auto generated email into my gmail - so everything should be fine there.Any other ideas? Thanks69531154 ! daniel ! hodnik

Hello all -I've been a happy user or RCV4 for some time and it's now a part of my normal flying.But I'd like to do some minor editing of a few sound files in the Winwood folder, but when I try to open them I get the message "This file is not a valid 16-bit .wav file" (or something very close to that). This editor seems to work fine with all other .wav files.Anybody have any idea what this is all about? All I'm trying to do is remove the last sybable of the callsign 'aircalin' to make it 'AirCal.' Sounded simple, but you have to watch out for these "simple" projects because they always seem to be the ones that get you!Any help with this will be sincerely appreciated. …

I flew from LIRN to LICR (fs9 with an ATR-72-500). Cruise level was 170.LICR has runway 33 with an ils approach. When RC started vectoring me towards landing at rwy 33, I was coming in from the north-west, ans so the instruction was heading 150- a parallel course. I had the ils frequency in nav1, and noticed that the dme was above 25 nm. I was expexting RC to start me on the turn eastwards and then north to intercept the ils beam, but I was later told (at 28dme) to head 60. I flew north-east for a long time, and realized RC wasn't in charge of the situation. I was not told to turn nw.I looked at the fs9 map view. Hmmm. Could RC be serviced so that if one misses the first 'fix/waypoint' by a small margin be sent back after reaching a remote distance 80 miles plus to the waypoint thsy missed?I am sure that this would NOT happen in reality?

Whilst flying the Tinmouse 737 I was cleared down to 9000feet on the local pressure setting apporaching EDDF (I was having trouble with EDDF being accepted by flight plans imported into RC but it is OK now). I dialled in the pressure setting to the altimeter, and descended to it. I maintained it +/- 20 feet or so , but got repeated warning that I had busted my cleared altitude resulting in a report!But I was flying the correct baro / altitude and maintaining it nicely!!!?What did I do wrong - or might I have soleved the EDDF flightplan issue - but got an AFCAD conflict somewhere resulting in a confused ATC???Upset!!!!Phil Webb

Weird problem yesterday on final to LGA. ATC gave me clearance and vectors to rwy 13, right before last turn to the ILS, ATC says that I'm clearead to land rwy 4. I went around to the other side of the runway to land at 4. NY is weird, I've had vectoring problems to LGA even with MS stock ATC. Any ideas?

Hello, I just did my first flight today, still learning the process but already loving the software.My question is in regards to the flight number calls, in my first flight the flight number was United Fifty eight Fifty Three (58 53)In my second flight, I've set it to United Four Forty Eight (4 48) but the pilots and the controllers were calling it out United Four Four Eight, even though it was entered the same way manual called for.Did I screw something up already? :DThanks for your help!

I am looking for the differences in Radar Contact and VOXATC. I have read review on both and my understanding is the big difference is RC uses numbers to select phrases, as in FS* and VOXATC uses actual voice commands. Is this correct? What other differences are they between the two? I will also post this in VOXATC forum. It will be interesting to see what the two camps have to say about their product. I am defraging (w/ Diskeeper 10) for the first time since my RC4 install. I started yesturday, and 36 hours later, it is still only 40% defragged!!It is not stalled, it is still running. according to the crawler across the bottom, the whole time it has been defragging the RC4 .wav files.Is this typical for it to take so long? Previously a defrag wouls take 12 hours; at worst.

Very recently, I have had a RCV4 specific sound problem. Here is the description:1. continuous buzz sound on top of the RCV4 talking 2. does not happen when no RCV4 talking is on3. happens only when OUTSIDE of fs9 (windowed or full screen mode, but ALT-tabbed outside of FS9, to the explorer fior example)4. the same sound problem does not occur when playing music (mp3) on top of fs9. it is purely RCV4 related5. tried to reduce the hardware acceleration. no effectI haven't tried RCV4 re-installation. afraid of something bad and loose it.Tried FS9 with a re-built fs9.cfgUse different sound qualities in FS9 menu=> no impactDo you have a clue?Thank youRegardsGhiom Viguie

I can't find reference to this in the manual, but if It's there, I apologise.I have RC4 on the client: do I run Makerways from there or from the Server?Which file - if any - do I need to move, and to where?After any addition or alteration to the scenery database in FS, I presume Makerways will need to be re-run. If this information really isn't in the Manual, (which incidentally is one of the better written and more comprehensive of FS addon manuals), may I respectfully suggest that it be included in the next revision.Also, if any subsequent re-running of Makerways must be done on the main FS machine, the statement from page 139: "....you do not need it (RC4) installed…
