I've been using Radar Contact for some time with normal airliners such as the 737, 747, 767 and etc. Radar Contact does a good job of getting you down to approach altitude and speed in plenty of time to make a successful landing. My question is, will Radar Contact work OK in that regard with the Concorde. Because of the extreme altitude and speed, the Concorde needs a long distance to get down to approach altitude and speed in time to make a successful landing. Does anyone have any experience with using Radar Contact and the Concorde together and does the combination work OK?Would appreciate any input on this. Thanks!Mike

Doing the first tutorialI have a screen that says FSUIPC Display rather then adventure displayIt does have the same options thoughLIke 2 for weather briefing, but nothing happens. Hi all, I will be going to San Diego for a week, but when I return home I will be buying RC for my Fs9. I know I will be here with a bunch of questions...so stand by.Right of the hand, I dont have a registed copy of FSUIPC but still want the Fs9 default ATC window look with the transparant window and white text, plus be able to close and open the window like the "~" key. I hope this would be possible even with the unregistered copy of FSUIPC. I've had to reinstall RC, but when I start it I get an error saying it can't find ...rcv3.dat. On every flight I have flown so far, as I get turned over to approach, they instruct me to decend from flight level (Usually FL340 or FL350) down to 11,000 or 12,000 feet within 30 miles. This can't be done without a very steep decent rate. Shouldn't I have been stepped down at all before being asked to decend to 11k or 12k?

Normally I manage to solve any problems that might arise just by being stubborn and reading FAQ's and other stuff like that. Radar Contact is the first program that has been able to beat me so far..I'll give you an as exact history as possible:1. I installed FSX2. I installed FSUIPC (the latest)3. I installed RC4 and updated through 4.01 and 4.2 to 4.3Now as I start FSX and set RC up and press start everything is okay. Then I load the same flight plan in FSX and press "fly now". When the loading is all done the game starts as usual, and the FSUIPC window is there, with some red text in it. The problem is that when I press 1 to clear my IFR nothing happens, RC won't respon…

Hello, I'm sorry about making a new post about this, but what I have read about the others the stuttering appears when the controllers are speaking. With me it's the opposite, when the controllers are speaking FS runs fluidly, and when not FS stutters in a way that its impossible to fly. Another effect is that, FS wants to reload all the textures all the time and this make the stuttering even worse.I have tried turning off all other programs and still the stuttering appears, but if I shut down RC4 it runs fine.It's the same result both for 4.0 and 4.01.This is really frustrating because I really love RC4 and do want to use it all the time, but now it's just impossible.Can…

Somehow now when I start R.C. my display is corrupted with letters missing and a series of small squares showing at the bottom of the display.I would send you a screen-print but amnot sure how to do it small enough to upload to here?

HelloI am new to RC and tried the turorial 1 today.The first time was not that good, so I tried it a second time.This went better.At the end when approaching Kord, I got a message to contact approach.First I got the freq. 122.90, which is no where in the list. Soon after that I got an other freq. 128.45, which is the correct one.What happened is that the freq. 128.45 was set in the nav radio and it was acknowleged but in the text display there still was freq 122.90 and I couldn't get it out. So when I pressed 1 I got a wait and some time later the controler was asking again to contact him at freq 128.45.Due to this I flew over Kord and had to ask for a visual apprach.An o…

Enroute from ESSA to LPPT, RC was with me until FL 230. From there, they forgot about my altitude and no further clearance was given to my specified level of FL350 unless I asked for it. Usually I'm step-cleared all the way but it didn't happen. Can RC sometimes forget my altitude?

I had to do a complete reinstall of FSX. Everything that was working fine is now having a problem. After I start RC4.3 and load the flightplan, when I click on start RC I get an error message "IPC request contains bad data." Radar Contact works perfectly if I use FS9. This is only with FSX and only since the reinstall. Anyone have any ideas? BTW, I also reinstalled RC4 and upgraded all 3 steps to RC4.3. I also rebuilt the scenery database. I'm completely at a loss.Mike

Hi, do you hear Radar Contact talking with the ai aircraft in FS9 like ground, tower, and even the centers while crusing or just your aircraft is the only meens of communication with RC?Thanks,Bill

Hi,Just installed and got everything running ok for a test flight, EGNM to EGLL. Flight plan was to go EGNM to POL to MCT to EGLL (simple) but as I passed POL and got near MCT I was advised to contact London Centre on 18.77 so I took option 1 - Ack and Contact but all this did was give me 2 beeps and then I was repeatedly advised to contact London Centre... Any ideas?CheersMike

This may sound a little silly but i have noticed that while flying with radar contact, sometimes ATC will say something like "QNH 1010" usually when i am desending towards an airport. I thought it meant altimeter but i fly the PMDG 747 and i have not seen a button for adjusting QNH (whatever that means) anywhere.What exactly is QNH? And can any PMDG flyers let me know where this can be adjusted on the panel?Also, i find that sometimes, when i level off after an instruction to desend, ATC keep telling me that i am not at the right altitude. But i am and i check to make sure that the altimeter is correct and it is. But ATC keeps reporting that i am not at the right alti…

I have a client PC where it was previsiusly installed FS9, I have installed rc4 on this client I have now a new computer with FS9 and I want to use as main FS9.After all setup on the client and on the main I run widefs and I try to rebuilding the scenery in RC4 but it is looking on the client fs9 directory, i have shered the main fs9 folder but how can i tell to rc4 to look in the shered folder?thank you

I am a new user of RC and wonder how I can make it catch up when I use the map move along a long e.g. UK to USA flight? Is there a way to make it recognise where I have moved to ? I am using FSNAV but RC doesn't seem to recognise if I use the move aircraft option here either.Otherwise the programme is great. Hi,I've the pre-recorded chatter option ticked. I have Ultimate Traffic with FS9 at 80% traffic density.I flew from EGKK to LFPG- not a long flight, with a DH Dash-8 to enjoy the ride.At Gatwick the pre recorded chatter kicked in right away. It co-exists happily with atc and UT traffic.It kept going practically all the way to LFPG. About 100 miles west of LFPG, the French chatter kicked in. Before that it seemed inapropriate to hear English over French airspace.Is this normal or realistic?Eytan Ornstein
