I set up a flight departing PAJN that included a RWY8 / Juneau Three DP (JNU3.SSR) Ceiling was 3200 overcast. The DP says in part:TAKE-OFF RUNWAY 8: Turn right as soon as practical. Climb in visual conditions direct CGL NDB or heading 276^ to I-JDL W course/2 DME (visual conditions must be maintained from takeoff until established over CGL NDB or I-JDL W course/2 DME at or above 1000 MSL)I did just that, but, RC had a fit because I leveled off my climb until over CGL.I had NOTAMs selected - anyway to avoid this? HiI am using both FS9 and FSX+SP1Just purchased Radar Contact, arrived by mail yesterday. Installation went ok I think. After selecting plan, having set up options, rebuilt scenery data base I select Run-start RC i get the following error:"cannot link to FSUIPC or Wideclient"I have FSUIPC Version 3.7.4.0 for FS9I have FSUIPC Version 4.1.0.0 for FSXBoth versions are unregistered and are in correct module folders.I notice in C:Program Filesrcv4x folder that I can Install FSUIPC4.exe. I'm sure this has been answered before but a search has proven fruitless (probably my inability to use search engines properly!)I'm having to do a re-install of RC4 and I want to check the correct order for updates.My CD is version 4. I'm running FS9 so only need to get to v4.2.3831.I have the following zip files of updates that I have previously d/loaded. While using RC4.3 with FSX the distance to next checkpoint and radio frequency is showing, however, the heading for the correct bearing to checkpoint is not showing at all.Does anyone know how I can fix this or get it to show properly?Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, I have noticed that with RC when I change frequency its always quiet for a few seconds before someone starts talking. I recall changing frequencies with the default ATC system in fs9 and right when I change the frequency there would be a conversation already taking place. Does RC have this?Thanks,Bill

Just reformatted my hard drive and have just done a fresh installation of RC4. When installation is complete and I try to run the program I get this error: "Componant COMPLG32.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid"Any idea whats going on here. I have had RC4 over a year now and this is my 3rd fresh installtion, and never has this happen before. I have a registered and the latest version of FSUIPC.dll and I am running on WindowsXP and FS9. Twice now I've been told to monitor tower while I'm taxing to the end of the runway behind AI. I get to the #2 position and my ADV display will show 2-About T/O but I'm not given verbal instructions to taxing into position & hold yet and the AI in front of me is stuck. No one is moving, no landing aircraft, no AI on the rwy. I can't recall checking other points of the airpot to see if RC4 has placed a ground freeze yet, but if I go to Traffic tools & delete the AI in front of me, I then get my "position & hold" instruction. Good day. First, I must offer my praise to RC4. I've been using it for about 3 months now and due to a scenery problem last week I had to completely remove FS9 and all it's components and re-install everything from scratch. After 12 hours of disk swapping (I have a ton of add-ons) I was ready to fly. MAN, what was I doing for the past 3 months? Apparently something in my original install was wrong, or maybe a setting (although I know I had checked "Interact with AI") but for 3 months I thought RC4 was "OK". Good day again. I hate to start posting all the time but now that RC4 is working as it should be it makes my flying 1000% more enjoyable. I do have a question though.A couple of times an AI in front of me on final approach which is WAY too close to me (causing wake interferance) all of a sudden will increase speed and start climbing (well not so all of a sudden but definitely while on tower's freq). This is wonderful for me, but is this an RC4 feature, or have I just been lucky and not noticed another aircraft on the runway perhaps? I have asked JD this in a private email but I think other folks with new Vista 32 bit computers would find his answers helpful in this forum. I have tried to install to my D drive but come up with missing files and errors.My new computer has arrived and I am busy installing all my Flight Sims and payware. What I have:32 bit Vista Dual Core 2 Computer C drive is a small high rpm drive primarily for the OS (32 gig) D drive is a RAID pairing 2 x 320 gig hard drives Radar Contact CD with ver 4.0 Downloaded files rc401update.exercv4_3831.ziprcv4_3843.zip FS9FSX I assume the number from my old computer wont be any good for the new computer? Purchased the Nemeth Design Sikorsky S-76A and I thought, wouldn't it be great to operate this wonderful bird multi-crew with FDC (I'm a fan and have used it really successfully with the Aeroworx B200 and the DF 727). How you you get RC and the flightplan I make in FS2004 come out the same? I can make a flight plan in FS2004 from A to B , direct and then the flight plan in RC will have 2- 5 way points or I can make a flight plan in FS2004 (VOR to VOR) with 10 waypoints and then RC will have me go DIRECT with NO way points. Hello, just a quick question concerning vertors; I departed from KSAN using runway 9 for a flight to Sacramento once airborne and handed of to departure control I notice that I was not give heading, unlike the default ATC. Do I just follow the GPS and turn on the autopilot and do it myself?...because I was flying east for a long time till I had to quit the flight for other reason.Thanks,Bill

Hi, have had Radar Contact for about 3 days now. For some reason when ever I've tuned my radios to clearance delivery but I haven't contacted for clearance yet, I'm not hearing other aircraft on the frequency. I know that other aircraft are contacting clearance though because I'm seeing them push back from the gates and I can hear them asking for clearance on the default ATC (which has the same frequency). Why is this??

I have reinstalled RC4 and everything now appears to be working OK except my "Ctrl-Shift-;" key to save partly flown flights in Rc4. This key combination also doasn't save the flight in FSX as it did for me in Fs9 . Is there something I'm missing here I ask? Any advice would be welcome and appreciated. Thanks Don S;(

Is it possible to run FS9 full screen, while using RC4? I must be doing something wrong. I start FS9, then Alt+Enter to go to windowed-mode, start RC4, and when I try to Alt+Enter to return FS9 to full screen, everything just hangs.I am using no mods, no add-on scenery, etc.Please tell me that I don't have to run FS9 in windowed mode to use RC4 !!!!!!!Thank you...JimP.S. I also noticed that I don't have the 'Check for Updates' button on the RC4 main screen. Is this something that is not there, or is the manual correct?

I can get as far as ADV setup ok...but after closing RC and launching FSX I cannot find a "modules menu" on the far right of the menu bar..all I have is the usual Addons with FSUIPC.. so I cannot get into the ADV display.Would some kind person tell me what I am doing wrong please?Thanks for your time ...Phil

Hi all,Using RC4.2.3831 with FSUIPC version 3.7.4 and everything is working fine *except* when I want to save a situation. I go through the routine and then get the message "Run time error 52. Bad file name or number." Then, when I click ok, RC closes.I've searched the forum on the message and although run time error 52 shows up it is not in this situation.JD I have created a log.
