Hi all.There has been a lot of talk about version 5, which I can't wait to have. It has also been said that, unfortunatelly for us eager beavers, its still far away.My question is if there will be further updates for v.4 and if so if we can have a sneak preview of what would be fixed/added, or if you have stopped developing version 4 altoghether in favor of RC 5.

anyone have any thoughts/experience on the PMDG + rc4 + fs2 Crew combination? looking at adding the fs2 crew for more realism (?? does it add this?) but not sure if it will run smoothly with PMDG, and rc4.any advice appreciated....brownyps- my hot water cylinder just blew up so apologies for the smell in the cockpit....no hot shower today....

Help! I've had RC 4 for about a week and finally have a second to post. I've tried to follow the update instructions to run RC on FSX but I keep receiving the run-time error 75 pathfile access error when I try to rebuild the db. I'm running FSX on Vista. Hello, a quick question on how RC handles radio frequencies. I contacted Clearance Delivery and got my clearance, then I manually change the radio to ground but still kept hearing CD giving out clearances to other planes? If I manually changed the radio, should I be hearing ground traffic or do I have to press the tune and contact option.Thanks,Bill

I hope the next version of Radar Contact may be avaliable both for FS2004 and FSX.My question is, is there a possibility to change the speed of conversation and have it in two levels, one as it is and the second a bit faster. When it is a lot of traffic I sometimes get my instructions later , i.e. in approach and I sometimes miss the descent in time... then I am in a big hurry to descent and need to use breaks a lot or sometimes even miss my approach.How is it working when approach takes over. There is no problem when I approach from the south and land in a southern direction, thus I need to go around the aerodrome anyways but if I am co…

Is there a way to use RC with two engines?Using the Aeroworx King Air, if I want to control the engines seperately,doing a runup or whatever, pressing E1 or E2 engages the RC menu.Perhaps there's a FSUIPC workaround, but in any case, my apologiesif I missed this in the RC manual.Thanks in advance,SluggerBruce Beattie

On a flight from Albany to Chicago everything was going well. The changeover to the various agencies was achieved by pressing the 1 key and auto replies to all instructions occurred as planned. Once on the ILS approach to Rwy27L I was instructed to contact tower. I pressed the 1 key as usual but this time all I got was Not Applicable. I selected the same tower frequency on the radio pedestal but then had no way to "speak". I completed the rest of the approach with RC4 telling me to contact tower until I exitted the program.Is there a way to manually select frequency and talk should RC4 give up the ghost?Peter

Hi,I am a fairly new user of RC4 and find it to be great. I have also just purchased the new (also great) FlightScenery Portland Scenery but have run into a problem, which has only occurred since installing Portland. I have run the Rebuild Scenery DB part of RC4 to update it for the new Portland scenery. When loading the flight plan to depart from KPDX into RC4, launching RC4 and returning to FS2004, my aircraft is hanging in the air over the sea somewhere. It seems that RC4 cannot find the appropriate data for KPDX. ie. after checking the Controller Info section of RC4, there is no comm or navdata for KPDX. Hi, just tried RC for the first time and while sitting at the gate at KSAN, I was able to contact clearance Del and get my Clearance, once I replyed to Clearance Delivery it "automatically" it automatically called ground and asked for taxi clearance when I was not even pushed out of the gate nor ready to contact ground for the moment. Is there a reason RC automatically called ground for me even when I have autoreply turned off?Another issue Im getting is no option to get my pushback clearance. All I have when RC loads in FS is Contact Clearance or Weather Breif. Dont I need to contact ground for pushback before taxi?Thanks,Bill

I can't seem to find the Western Airlines call sign. Most everything else seems to be there. I found Eastern under Baltimore Airways. Where's Western?BTW, Excellent program!James

Radar contact is not working properly after I installed FSX SP1 patch. Co-Pilot will not fly plane.Does this mean that I have to re-install the software?Please advise.Thanks

Hi, I have used FS 2004 with default AI traffic and RC4 for a while now but yesterday I have installed some AI traffic from PAI and WOA to get some more realism. But there is one problem, only the default AI traffic is interacting with RC. In other words, the only communication I hear through RC when on a frequency is "World Travel" and "Pacific Airways". The new AI traffic is only interacting with the default ATC and I can't hear them through RC, but only if I turn up the default ATC volume in FS 2004.Can I somehow get the new AI traffic to interact with RC?I have rebuilt the scenery database in rc.Chatter pilots are selected on the voices page.Interact with ai is checke…

I'm considering buying RC, but I have one question. I use AI traffic, will this traffic also be subject to RC atc?I saw that you have to turn the default ATC volume down - does that mean that AI planes will be subject to the default ATC and only my plane will use the RC ATC and its features?I was hoping that all traffic was using RC.

How do you file a flight plan with a sid and star built in like the plans on simroutes.com? Will RC in the future have sid and star vectors? Like "descend via the granpa one arrival" for example into KLAS

HiI find it very annoying that RC usually shows IAP approach menu item when control is given to approach. That usually happens 30nm before arrival. Many airports usually have longer approach routes and latest common fix to various runways is beyond that 30nm limit. On those airports (KSFO, EDDF, ENGM etc.)approach routes are practically useless.If there's some way to avoid this problem, I would like to hear about it.regardsJuha

JD and support, I've searched the board and I see I can create my own callsigns. I'm just not sure I want to tinker with some of the RC4 files. And it might not be possible to create Allegiant.So if able and you get some time I would appreciate the "Allegiant" callsign. It's no hurry, I understand that this week is a busy one.Thanks!! :)
