Hi there, i have just installed RCv$ in FS9, I am uisng windows Vista and when I undock ad display as in the manual I cannot hear any atc commands when I press 1 to get clearance, i have made sure the FS atc voices are disabled....?? also I cannot getr rid of a green bar that runs across the screen with some commands in it....any answers?thanks, john CYOW

Hi, Just loading up everthing...new PC + FSX etc. Prepared a flight plan and saved it. However am getting the message "Run Time Error 5 Invalid Call or Argument". Would appreciate advice please. Thanks in inticipation.x(

Hi,I'm using several Goflight modules in FS2004 and I like them a lot. I am considering buying their GF-ATC module, but I don't know whether the rotary knob and push switch to control the ATC pop-up menu works in Radar Contact too.Anyone? Information will be greatly appreciated.Regards,Bert

Hi!When landing on ESGG, runway 21, I have several times got radar vectors to point about 30nm out, at 2500 feet. At this point I don't have reception of the ILS (get reception at abt 20nm). Do I get correct vectors? I have version 4.2.3831.

Hello everybody. I have a problem with RC4.3 that I need your help with. I'm running a clean (no add-ons) instalation of FSX under Vista. I can run RC, load my flightplan, start it and see the the Radar Contact window inside FS, no problem. The problem is that my keypresses don't do anything. I have tried changing the keys on RC options, but no matter what combination I use, RC won't respond.I accidentally discovered that if I crash the plane and let FSX reload, then RC will act normally.I hope my post is clear enough, and will appreciate any help on the matter.Regards.

I followed the instructions in the RC4 manual about how to override the FS2004 standard ATC.However, after installing and running RC4, I do not get anything that look like what is shown in the manual.I get both a standard ATC window with the RC4 ATC text and the Adventure Display, which only partially shows what ATC is saying; often it is truncated so that the last part of the message is not shown.Can you please outline for me what to do in order to get an RC4 ATC window which works as it should?Attached is a screenshot showing how it looks.Thanks in advance./Nicolas

I noticed that I cannot request a relief on the 250kts speed restriction after departing any US airport. I know it can't be selected on the Controller Info menu, but am I absolutely not allowed to go above 250kts below 10,000ft in the US?As a side question, I was watching ITVV's 744 DVD and noticed that the ATC at least at Heathrow gives the Departure Procedure to be followed. Is this simply impractical to be done in RC? Also, ATC had the aircraft hold at certain altitudes (e.g. 6000) for a bit before having them continue to climb. My problem trying to fly to Flightzone's Portland (KPDX), with RD4 was fixed. It was too easy. I found the answer here on the RD4 fourm. I'm showing the fix here again so that someone new with the problem will not have to search for the answer. It will be here, at least for awhile:The critical fix is as per John Burgess advice as follows:"if you rename KPDX_28L_ILSFIX.bgl as !KPDX_28L_ILSFIX.bgl all may be well:This simple fix works fine for me. Is it possible that future versions of RC may correctly handle redispatched flights ?Redispatching is widely used on long-hauls to reduce fuel uploading by selecting an initial destination (closer to dep airport than the intended "final" one) and a redispatch fix convenientely located, approaching which, if wx/ATC considerations allow and fuel required to proceed from RF fix to final destination is checked OK, the flight is redispatched to his final destination. Hi JD.Sorry to bother you all again, but I have another problem with RC.It won't interact with AI traffic at all. Of course, I have checked all pertinent checkboxes in RC's options and have checked my FS settings to make sure there is traffic. I can see the traffic inside FS (in fact the FS ATC interacts with it perfectly) but RC won't issue instructions, nor play any pre-recorded chatter. In fact it clears me for anything I ask and tells me that "there is no VFR or IFR traffic" at all.

What is the differance between the beta version of makerwys.exe ( or the default version of makerwys) AND the Rebuild runway DB which is inside RC? I have been installing some new airports recently. Do I need to "run" both the "beta version of makerwys.exe" AND the "Rebuild runway DB" ? Are they the same programs and/or do they do same thing? If not what does each do? Thanks jerrycwo4

Hi,For some reason RC would only provide runways 20 and 24 as an option for URSS. 2 and 6 seem to be missing.I did try to regenerate the runway file with the other utility mentioned in another thread - but had similar results.Any suggestions?

I was going to add some control zones, but have been stoped by the folowing moment.We have two files z4.csv and s4.csv, that have relation to c.zones.While order in z4 is quite clear for me (coordinates in this file are match like to oher bases, such as FSNav, the file number for speach "cntr_*" is also included, but - i wonder - there is now frequincy fo zone in this z4.csv), so, while i understand everything here- the second, s4.csv, - brings only questions, - multiple patches of 3-lines blokes for one control zone - why so stange, what is ZERO in this lines?...So, please, be so kind, explain me the structer in s4, and technology (exept voices generation) of ceat…

Why is that after taking off with a flight plan loaded into FS9 via FS Navigator, after abour 10 minutes or so I am told by ATC I am off course and they instruct me to fly the other way. I bring in the flight plan a less than a minute after take off to take advantage of the SID I have loaded into the flt plan. I must be doing something wrong, can I be put right please??

I recently installed two new airport sceneries, "Fly-Tampa Seattle (KSEA)" and "Flightzone Portland (KPDX)". When I try to use RC4 with this flight ( in either direction), after I pick out the "flightplan" and OPEN it, either one or two things happens. In the flight plan, either the departing or the arriving airport is MISSING, i.e.____ to KPDX, or KSEA to ____. It should be like ,"KSEA to KPDX." Of course, in these cases you can NOT use RD4. JD informed me that a "ton" has been said about this problem, but in the (only) 4 pages listed in this forum, nothing is said as it must have been a while ago. Was a fix ever given for this problem?
