Hi guys, I think I have asked this question before and did a search in the forum but did not get any results. Sorry if this is a repeat. Anyhow, will RC tell me to Position and hold on the runway right after the landing aircraft on the same runway lands? Dont know if this is a limition of FS but I hate the way the default ATC waits for the aircraft to vacate the runway and then clear you or the AI planes to takeoff. I think it would speed things up if they just let the planes position and hold and then wait for the landing plane to vacate. Just curious if RC does have this implemented. I think Im going to place an order either tonight or tommorrow for RC.Thanks guys,…

Here is an odd scenario and im not sure why this is happening1.I build a flight plan and enter it into the rc4 interface. I also enter it into the fms of the plane im flying. Usually pmdg or leveldI fly exactly the course determined, and that is built via fsbuild 2 or fs-navigator.I fly exactly on course and the rc4 controller continually tells me im not on course or off the airway. Doesn't the planned course and pref routing take precedence over everything else. I do understand that once can be vectored but once on course I get this message.? how do i correct that. Also;is there some way to speed up atc and the read back.is there some way to have the first office readb…

I seem to have a problem with RC4 ATC when ascending or descending to a given altitude.If I have my weather settings to anything other than "clear weather" i.e. QNH 1013 Alt 2992 at all altitudes I encounter problems.Example: At FL200 ATC requests descent to say FL170. Having reached FL170 RC4 ATC are saying that I am not at the assigned altitude. My altimeter is clearly showing FL170 I have reset QNH - pressed "B" on key pad - but RC4 ATC are insistent that I am not at the assigned altitude.Obviously, the altitude in the program is not registering the same altitude as my guages. But I am unable to ascertain what QNH RC4 is expecting or at what altitude RC4 is registering…

I was planning to fly from London Heathrow to Moscow. My VA requires me to switch from Flight Level to Metric Altitudes in the CIS. Can I do this with RC? Will it automatically tell me to descend/ascend? Do I have to fudge my PIREP? (DON'T TELL ANYONE AT VPA! HiJust installed RC4 onto Windows Vista. When I select rebuild scenery db I recieve the following message:Run Time error 75Path/File access error.I can run makerways successfully from the main makerways.exe located in fs9 directory.Any ideas how to resolve this?Many Thanks

I just installed rc4 with all of the recent updates (4.03)when i load the software everything seems fine but when i click any buttons or try to create a flight plan it just quits without notice like if i just exit the program. please help! Thanks in advance to all. Ang171

I've been finally using the holding option in RC 4.01. I unsderstand that my final fix has to be a VOR within 5 miles of the airport. I have been getting vectors all over the sky for holding, instead of to a fix, because I usually just use the STAR. Does ATC issue the hold for that VOR or will it issue for an earlier fix? If I go into ORD for example, in the real world, approach doesn't issue holds. Center holds them 40 miles out, nowhere near the VOR.Thanks,Matt Collins

I am reinstalling all my FS stuff on my new PC and I have a problem when launching RC4 for the first time on Vista Ultimate 64bit.I have installed RC4 with no problems (did it "normal" and also as admin), updated it to 4.2 (as I'm still flying on FS9), launched it "normal" and as admin too, but when RC4 asks me to enter the key-code all I get when clickin the button is a RC4 crash without error messages after several seconds.Maybe anybody of you who could help me?! :-)Vista Ultimate 64bit, Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700 Quad, 4GB RAM, RC4.2, FS9.1, FSUIPC 3.73Thanks in advance!Chris

Maybe an option in the Controller Info page to enable a STAR arrival. Departure procedures can already be used so thats not a problem. Maybe a way for the controller to say "descend via Standard Terminal Arrival" or something so you can descend and fly headings according to the STAR and they just hand you off to approach within 30 miles of the airport.Just a thought :-)

Hi RC community, Does anyone know if there is a demo of RC anywhere on the web so I can hear the ATC? I know there has been a lot of discussion on the speech rate for RC and it really comes down to personal preference, so to that end if I can hear it for myself it would make the decision to purchase so much easier. How do I add additional chatter? I find it can get repetitive and would like to expand the files.

I just purchased R.C. and am looking forward to getting it. I've been using FS9, but recently bought FSX. I still use both as many of my addon's in FS9 are not yet available for FSX.Is it possible to use this in both programs if they are on the same PC?Thanks.Jason L.

All of a sudden I start getting an error " load_rc_state, ff0 is never 0", when I try to load an RCVD file that I have loaded 2 times before.Does someone know where that is coming from????

I can't get the FO to handle comms. CTRL-SHIFT-K is not working. I've reinstalled to try and fix it to no avial. I'm not running anything that has key shortcuts. While going through Windows explorer I noticed something I thought a bit odd about the file structure of my RCv4.2 installation.Inside the Winwood directory, after Vietnam I have another Winwood directory and inside that are folders 1 to 99 plus a folder rc4. Inside this rc4 folder is yet another Winwood folder containing three folders 21, 22 and 62.If this is not correct (and I suspect it isn't) this probably happened when I unzipped some voice set files.It's no real problem. If there should only be one Winwood folder I can soon move the files to where they should be. I just wanted to check before I did anything.ThanksIain Smith

When on approach to KMEM TUT2 I get a freq to atune to 123.15 and than later, a vew seconds, I get an other freq 126.7 to atune to.The latter is impossible to atune to and whatever I do I don't get it right again.The controler keep asking for the ack and tuning but that is impossble.So I had to turn to VisualApproach to land the aircraft.In the list the freq 126.7 is the correct one, the other- 123.15- doesn't appear in the list of freq for KMEM.You told me the last time that there are several app. controlers on this busy airport, but why can't I make the switch to the new given freq.It is acknowledged,but nothing changes.It keeps coming in the textbox to atune to 123.15I…

I went to your website but there is no downloadable version, just CD. :(I understand this might be a 400MB plus, but I live in Brazil and it would be a problem for me to order the CD version because this country I live in has protection against imported software and I'll have to pay 100% duty to the customs :( in an already expensive product when converted to my local currency.So here's is my question: If I find somenone in Brazil that already have the CD, would it be legal to replicate it and order just the license key? I can close the RC window in FSX by right clicking and choose close window but it reappears after a few seconds.Is there a way to have the window off while not communicating?Also for taking screenshots its kinda annoying that I can't get rid of it.Thx.

Hi, just bought Radar Contact, pretty happy with it. But, I file my IFR flight plan into RV4, load it into FS 2004, and onto my Planes FMC. Clearance and take off goes well then shortly after take of normaly after I reach cruise altetude I get told by the ATC that im of course from my filed flight plan even though FS Map shows im bang on course my FMC show im on track (im flying Level D 767) and Im running FS Commander which also shows im bang on course. ATC then instructs me to fly a heading in the oposite direction I have just come from normally back to my departure airport???? After hesitantly following ATC new heading I get told again im off course?This keep on happ…
