I have installed radar contact 4.0 and 4.1 and when i push the rcv4.exe file this message comes up on my screen: Component 'MSINET.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalidI use FSX

Hi, not sure if I have a problem or not. I'm running 4.3 in FSX and the program works fine. I have MytrafficX installed for my AI and again that appears to be working fine. My query is this, when using RC I don't appear get a lot of AI chatter, yet when I look at the Kneeboard it appears FSX keeps a log of radio transmissions from the AI to it's own ATC and there are lots more messages than I ever hear. Is it to do with the way RC uses more realistic frequencies and control boundaries? Or is there perhaps another reason? If it helps I also have a registered version of FSUIPC and use Activesky.Thanks in advanceSteve

Congratulations on a great product! Only one small issue to report so far... If you leave the frequency for weather (option 2), RC4.3 appears to have trouble recognizing passage of a flight plan waypoint during that time. When returning to the ATC frequency, RC considers you off course and attempts to vector you back to the passed waypoint. This was reproduced by simply by going off frequency for weather shortly before reaching a waypoint.Best Regards,Rich Lucas

Hi,I've started to use RC lately, and I find it fantastic add-on.I've got just one (so far :) ) little problem.I need to use 'text display' to be able to read what atc says to me (I'm not native english and it's much help to heve everything in text).Is there any way to configure the transparent green box with text? All prompts seem to be split in two - even the short ones, and even when there is planty of room for much more text. It usually leave one or two words for next screen. It's hard to read and memorize everything (especialy during ifr clearance), when text changes pages.Besides, the text is shown a few seconds after spoken prompt. Is there any way to remove this …

Does anybody have the RC fix for the freeware EDDF (http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=74698&CatID=fs2004scen)? The updated file is RC_EDDF_2D_AI.bgl, but it has been deleted from the old postings (see below). Gentlemen:What series of events must be in place (or not in place) for the Evil "Ammended Altitude Command"?With NOTAMS enabled, I am requested to "ammend" my altitude from FL290 to FL240 while still climbing TO FL290. This is a bit off topic but would like some advice. Trying to learn FSX and love it so far, have not tried RC with it yet but this week I'll give it a shot. But my question is what do you all recommend for developing the flight plans ... I use to use FSNavigator and really liked it but it doesn't work with FSX and will be awhile before they update it. Hi!I have a bit of a strange problem when flying longhauls...Yesterday i flew EKCH-OSMJ, i did my planning i FSBUILD and exported the plan to radar contact, and it worked perfectly with all the right waypoints all the way untill after the last waypoint untill i reached OSMJ then it said that the next waypoint was 2500 m away to a very strange direction... I was told to descend to 11 000 feet. but then i continued to fly in the strange direction that it said that the next radar contact waypoint was...later i flew OMSJ-VTSP with the same procedure and the same result, everything worked perfectly untill the last waypoint... i told the ATC that i had minimum fuel, then i got …

Just purchased RC4 about an hour or so ago ... very much looking forward to it.Unfortunately when i went through the purchase process i fat-fingered my billing address (actually on three ... yes count em 3 separate occasions). When i checked my online bank account it appears as though i now have 4 pending transactions for $44 ... only ONE of which is actually valid (others received message indicating the billing address didn't match the one on file for the card).As much as i'm certain i will love this program i'm not prepared to pay $160 for it ;-) ... is there someone who can investigate this on my behalf and validate whether the additional transactions will in fact be c…

I've had RC for about a year now but I'm still having one problem: When to act on my own. When I first take off on runway heading sometimes RC tells me what course to fly and some times NOT. Sometime I head for the 1st waypoint and RC says nothing and sometimes it say, "What are you doing?" I never know when RC is finished vectoring me to the runway. Sometimes if I dont take actions for landing on my own RC never "instructs" me again and I donn't know if I should start taking landing actions on my own or wait, wait, wait..... It's not always the same. Have I missed something from the very start? Thanks for any help in this matter. I'm not happy to ue Fs2004 ATC after RC.…

I loaded a C-130 Herc flight (The just flight tutorial cold and dark) and am getting a message 'Class not registered' 'Need file MSSTDFMT.DLL?HELP PLEASE?

I've just completed a 1 hour flight from Bristol (EGGD) to Glasgow (EGPF) with the new 4.3 update and FSX.One minor problem occurred during the flight when being handed over to Glasgow Tower. Clearance to land at RWY23 was given with winds reported as calm! I knew from ASV and my screen readout that this was incorrect so I immediately requested a wind check (4). The response then gave the correct wind parameters as 224 @ 29 Gusting to 49. Just a minor glitch but you may be interested in logging it.Thanks for the great update.regards,Dave (CYVR)

In FSX it is possible to hear the ATC in your headset and the engines trough your speakers. With the default ATC it no problem but with RC I do not get it working this way. Any suggestion is welcome. Or is it not possible with RC.I installed RC a few days ego and it is a great programme.Martin.

Hi allI've had RC since christmas and the firt few times I used it everything went OK. However, after installing some more add-ons (737PIC, Flying Club, SR-71, FSkyWorld) things went a bit wonky.The manual seems to suggest to load RC, set up the flight plan etc, load FS9 (which I do using FSAutoStart), set everything up in that, then Start RC, THEN press fly now in FS9.It started crashing with the infamous runtime 76 error, but if I set it running again with FS9 still going, everything went OK.I did the path fix, updated FSUIPC, rebuilt the scenery DB (I thought it might be something to do with the FC shoreham scenery add-on).Now it doesn't crash, but the FSUIPC window do…

Helo,I have been using RC4 since early RC3. It has been almost flawless in operation but in the last couple of weeks a bizarre problem has arisen.RC4 is on a WideFS machine. I also use ASV6, Flight Keeper, GE Pro on the WideFS machine and TrackIR, FDC Live Cockpit, UT Europe, Game Commander 2 on the FS machine. All these have worked with no problem with RC4.The problem is that I start up RC4 and it informs me I have a pilot and or co pilot selected as a controller and that I should deselect them. I did not alter these settings at all. I have reset them and saved the changes but the problem still arises. Also, I had a error 76 problem that JD looked at just prior to his sa…

When I fly say fl 60 as per instructions ATC, I keep receiving a warning that I violate my assigned flight level, I set my QNH as per instructions, I also tried the standard 29,92, but nothing helped.Martin.

Hi,I tried to save my flight with Ctr+Shift+;According to manual, it should save my flight and .rcd file should be created.But it only makes fs save (.flt), and no rc save.What can be wrong ?Pawel

Hi,I'm just getting back into using Radar Contact, currently using v. 4.2. Although I'm using FSUIPC ver 3.71, I'm not seeing the transparent text box that I see people are talking about. I still get the ADV display under the Modules heading. Am I doing something wrong? Also is it possible to link the text box to a key so that it can be turned on and off?Thanks in advance for the help.

The problem that recently developed is that on decent to KSFO on a flight from KSEA to KSFO at the 50 mile wx check point as soon as the copilot recieved approval to check the weather the screen went black accept for the RC window and the FS2004 crashed. What's odd is that I haven't noticed the problem on any other flight (at least not yet). Thanks for any help.

I think that I have seen something similar to this in the forum but went back to mid August and couldn't spot it - so sorry if is a repeat. I have just upgraded to a gaming PC and all was looking well until it came to RC4's turn. Actually I was trying to load 4.2 and then later go to 4.3 (I had been using the latter OK before the upgrade but its icon has disappeared in the upgrade process). When the atc tell me to descend, it must be done immediately otherwise the controller continuously says:You have busted your altitude, your assigned altitude is fl:---.But the A320 doesn't descend immediately,it takes about 20 or 30 seconds to do it because it has to reduce the speed, usually from 300 Kias to 260Kias.I can push the button 'exped', but the rate of descend is too much high!

When flying a flight plan from KHVN to KGON with a cessna or the maule;when on short ils final the tower controller gives the command "go around" along with the comment about my gear not being down, I have went around and the same thing just keeps on. I have tired the same flight plan with the beech Baron and no problem, looks as if you can't use a fixed gear aircraft with RC. Flying FSX.
