The download and install went fine, however I have run into a problem. I start RC 4.3, start Activesky & start FSX. Load flightplan in RC, AS and FSX. The correct info shows in RC4. After all processing is done, start RC4. I get the RC/FSUIPC dialog window as expected with 1 - Clearance and 2 - weather however RC4 does not respond to any keystrokes. I can press 1 or 2 and nada - nothing happens. Tried toggling Otto on/pff - get nothing.I get no voice or activity from RC at all yet it doesn't seem to be hungup at all.Second issue which may be related to above - how do you turn OFF the ATC sound in FSX? I may be getting dumber in my old age but I cannot find any volume …

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Honolulu, RWY 22L/R point straight at the Ko'olau Mountains making it a bad choice for landing anything bigger than a B717. Even then it's a risky approach because you have the airport vaiaduct about 500ft from the threshold and have to fly over a bunch of tall buildings then turn about a half a mile out to line up. Okay, it's a bad runway to land on. Anyway, in the AFCAD, I closed that runway for landing a while back so I wouldn't have to deal with it in my B744. In fact it was well before I got RC. JD,I received this error message first time today. I am running v4.2.3838I saw a post in the forum about clicking the "FLT/WX" button to point to the flights folder. My dilemma is that I have multiple folders that contain FLT/WX information. Is there one in particular I should spec or should I just create one?Also, you mentioned turning off autosave. Just bought stereo headphones so my wife can go to sleep and not hear those darn controllers yelling at me for busting altitude!These earphones do not have volume control.Question is- while I can manipulate sound parameters within the FS9 sound menu, RC sound level is fixed. I had asked this some months back but now I can't locate the message. It concerned the runways that RC uses both for AI and my user plane. I understand that RC doesn't control the AI's but it does seem to give them some direction, whether or not they adhere to it. Question is, does RC negate the need for setting up 'Star' runway systems to activate multiple runways? It's a tedious process, though it does work quite well if you do it right. It seems that RC uses runways normally not used by FS9's own ATC. Appreciate you refreshing me on this.Thanks

I recently purchased RC 4.2.3831 and am really enjoying this program; what a fantastic addition to my little slice of reality! Thanks to this forum I figured out that the FSUIPC window replaces the ADVDisplay for ATC messages.Several posts hint at mapping a key to toggle the FSUIPC window. Do I need the payware version to do this? Or is there another way to close or hide that window when I'm in my spot plane or tower view?Thanks all,Russ

Hi,I searched the forum to see if anybody has posted this problem and I could not find any. When using RC4.2 with fltsim2004 I get an error message when declaring an emergency. The message "runtime error 9 radarcontact fsuipc.rcv4code" appears and radarcontact freezes then shuts down. I need help with this problem.RegardsSteve

I'm using version 4.3 in FSX - I just finally got it working today after several days of fiddling around with it. But, I cannot seem to change the font/color of radar contact. It works fine, but the modules box is not on the menu. I have read through this forum, and saw the posts that said just to right click in the "box" - when I do this, I just get the option to "close window". Can someone PLEASE tell me how to do this? I saw a post that said to do it fo FSUIPC, but I tried that also to no avail. My basic question - Can I change the size and color of the font, and if so how? I have the same problem that flybar recently had with his installation key. When I try to register my product. I copy and paste my key into the "key" field, the program closes ater a few seconds, then when I restart the program I get the same registration window. I just received the program and this is my 1st attempt, installation has only been on one machine. The cycle contiunes with every attempt. I have a new machine. Have installed RC version 4. Do not have the new key required yet. Can or should I install the other versions pior to getting the new key, or do I have to get a new key now. Thanks for the advise.

HiI have cause to re-install all my software on a new drive following the crash of my old system.All is going well with my FS9 related installations until I try to re-install RC4.I am getting the registration page as I would expect but on entering my key (that I got the first time round) the registration page closes but RC4 does not start.When I try to open RC4 again I am presented with the registration page again. And so the cycle continues.What do I do now?Stuart B

When i go to register I put and paste the code in and the whole screen disappears and the program is no longer running and i have to click the icon to bring it back up. this happens over and over. this is the key they gave me. i have defragged, shut off and uninstalled antivirus programs and everything else i can think of. Hello,I remaped all numeric keys using ctrl shift to keep FsPassengers settings available.For the basic things, like contacting ATIS, ask clearance, request altitude change or acknowlege it works fine.But. The second time I wen't to get an altitude change. the display shown me:CS8=prev CS9=main CS0=next.I tried all them without result, RC4 kept blocked on this, whatever I did. Sorry for the double-post, it's just that I noticed the other thread I replied to which featured a similar problem didn't get bumped. Any combination of keys I try won't activate the commands on the FSUIPCS menu.I have the latest RC and FSUIPC (dled today). I also only get the FSUIPC label under "Addons" inside the sim. Don't know if I was supposed to get something else, I just noticed that some people saw a second field pertaining to adventures I believe. Anyway, I appreciate the help once again.
