In every flight, after I reach altitude, if I have a flight number like 2 82, it changes to 2 8 2 and stays that way for the remainder of the flight. Is this supposed to happen? Also, the Approach and Departure Freq for PHNL is 118.30. Gentlemen, Just installed RC4 and it is up and running. So far very satisfied with this product, I love the different voices and realism. I do have a few questions for you though. This may be a dumb question for you guys but what is QNH and how do I set this( PMDG 747), I know it has to do with the altimeter or baro pressure but it seems like a different format, bit confused.Second I flew a short hop from EGLL to EDDF, filed the FP with a DP, ATC let fly the sid but before I got to the last waypoint they vectored me completely offcourse almost a 180 turn in the opposite direction from. Any updates on the release of v4.3? The last word was on 12/5 and it seemed to indicate that with the updated FSUIPC, it would only be a matter of "days" before v4.3 would be released. Did you hit a showstopper?

Are those available somewhere? Or are we stuck with the (in my country) extremely outdated info included in the stock csv files?Zdenek Cizek

Hey guys.Running RC over WideFS, Working really well, except that when I just tried to do a scenery rebuild, it did not ask me if the install was WideFS, and instead went straight to "Rebuilding R4 csv", or whatever it says.This has worked as advertised in the past, up until today actually, and as far as I know I haven't changed anything in RC since 4.2 was released.Any ideas ?

Hi again...I did a flight today from Boston Logan to Portland Intl and noticed 2 odd situations regarding AI.First, on departure I was cleared to taxi into position while having 2 USAir 737s in front of me.Second, On final to Portland I was closing in fast on a cessna that was in front of me and went right through it (suprisingly :)).I use V4.2 and Ultimate traffic.Oh, and one more thing, could it be that on a flight to Reno Approach forgot me? cause I overflew the airport without getting vectors and kept on...(I had a VOR between the airports).ThanksShomron

Today on a short flight from KJFK (New York) to KBOS(Boston) at the about midway point I was told to "Contact Boston Center" I "keyed" #1 over, and over, and over........ and Boston Center NEVER would come up. The other numbers to key, i.e. 8,9,0 all seemed to work, but I never could reach Boston Center and my whole filght was ruined, in my opinion. This has happened a number of times before and I just stop the flight. You know you can not just stop rc and restart it as it will take you BACK to the "CLR" start of the flight.Is there any work around this problem ? Can anything fix it so that you can continue with the flight? Does this problem happen to you? What do you do…

My RC v4.01 had developed a bad "studder" (from 10 seconds to 2 minutes) responding to a request. I keyed the "UPDATE" button within the rc4 and it came back, NO UPDATES AVAILABLE. This lead me to believe that I had the latest version...... WRONG. I went to the Radar Contact Fourm here and it gave a link to the next version, 4.02 which I downloaded and installed and the "studders" went completely away and now rc is working great ! Question, why did not the Update botton within rd4 advise me of the update ????? jerry

I am a little confused. Still using FS 9. Used to always upgrade to the latest FSUIPC version in the past. Should RC 4.2 users be upgrading to FSUIPC 4.x or is that only for FS X users? Any point in upgrading to RC 4.3 when released for us who intend to stick with FS9?Thanks,Greg

HiI just received the cd today and wanted to start a flight.When I started I had the green display so I closed it as mentioned in the faq and turned on the advsp.The advsp was shuttering with the background behind it too so I restarted MSFS. When I restarted again the advsp didn't show although it WAS in the backgroung and only when dragging it I could see it. When I released it-it disappeared still hanging around in the background only not to be seen. I am using version 3.7 of fsuipc.Any Ideas?Shomron

Hi there.I read the RC4 manual but I still have some questions:-How does RC4 interacts with FS9's AI? Do I hear chatter from FS9 or a customized RC4 version? -Does RC4's ATC vectors AI and the AI replies? -Is RC going to have speech recognition implemented some day? I was terribly disappointed by MS by not having FSX ATC improved at all. Not even having a HOLD feature. What a shame.

HiI was told to enter runway 27L at EGLL-As I lined up the AI kept coming and crashed into me.This happened four times.The only way to T/o was to do a speedy runway entry and get well ahead of the AI that enter at same time.How can I prevent this and why does RC4 not prevent this.I thought RC4 was aware of all this.Please advise.Qas

I've heard some controllers here issue frequencies differently. Example: Hawaiian two eigthy-two, contact tower, eighteen one. The eighteen one being 118.100. Is there a way to do this randomly in RC? Is V5 the only upcoming upgrade? Will V5 be compatible with FS9?I know some sort of list must exist, and perhaps a tacked/sticky thread with those features should be put up, along with some requests for future versions.What I'd like to see so far:1. A little longer delay before ATC "busts" the altitude. For example, certain planes require a bit more time to start descent. The Piper Meridian I was flying last night requires the following for descent: Open the S-Tec, push a button to get to ALT entry and lower the altitude, then go to a different panel and select the LVL CHNG mode. Hello!I just bought und used RC for the first time. Now I have some questions:1. How can I save the size and the postion of the green text window?2. How can I get the text in an easy readable form? (sometimes words are missing, some numbers are divided, some words follow at the next page although there was enough place - please see the images)3. What is the reason, when I get order to go around 2 times one after another - without any cognisable cause?4. What do I have to do, when I like to fly the STAR after the beginning of the approach?

I was wondering if there were any audio samples of Radar Contact available anywhere.I was thinking about purchasing this for my father but I have heard that the transitions are pretty choppy at times when using Radar Contact although I would like to hear for myself.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks!

are you supposed to hear RC callout airliners by name (i.e. United, American ect.) vs their N number? I have noticed this over my last several flights.Also, I have about a third of the time been vectored to and cleared to land on runways that the AI aircraft are using but on the recriprical heading?curiousps. using ASV for WX

Hey JD. Another thing I just noticed is that RC is really quick to jump on you for certain things. For instance, I was flying the Level-D 767 from PHNL to KSEA today and when I got handed off to Seattle center, they told me to descend to FL240. Before I could even get 24000 set in the ALT window of the MCP and hit the FL Change button, the controller jumped on me for not following his instruction. I know in the real world your supposed to comply promptly with ATC but not like that. Its one thing if they call you up and say "NO DELAY or IMMEDIATELY" due to a traffic alert but when all else is normal, they wouldn't snap back that quickly on you. They do the same thing with …
