Hi, is rc4.3 compatable with ASV6.5?When I use it my plane goes crazy, flies eratically, but flies fine when I don't use ASV6.5

Hi all,I just plotted out a flight plan using paper charts for a flight from Manchester (england) to Rekjavik(?) in iceland. I then fed this into Simroutes.com, and used it to print out with all the courses, leg distances etc. However, when I try to load the pln file into FS9 it rejects it, and if I try to recreate the route in the FS9 flight planner, lo and behold half the waypoints don't exist. I struggled for a while thinking how I can get round it, then I thought:Do I actually need FS9 to know the flight plan at all anymore? RC knows the route (from the pln file generated by Simroutes.com), and the FMS's in my 2 main aircraft know the route, can I just dump the plane …

Is there any way I can change the voice relating to the Flight Critique announcement at the end of a flight, please. I cannot understand it. Without meaning to be offensive I think it's the American "drawl".

After re-installing RC I got an error message saying I need to install MSSTDFMT.DLL when I tried to load a flight plan. Any ideas?

I'm a prospective RC4 buyer. Unfortunately my computer drives are partitioned and I am relatively low on drive space for c: and want to keep as much off it as possible.Can RC4 be installed on a drive other than c:? If so, are there still files that will be installed on c:, and, if so, what is the total size of files installed on c:?Thanks for your help.

Along with the other fellow I'm getting "runtime error 6 overflow" rebuilding the scenery DB, after the 4.3 upgrade. I went through the list of things to do on the FAQ page and still get the error. I want to use RC with both FS9 and FSX. FS9 worked great in regard to the scenery rebuild, but not FSX. I copied the new rcv4.exe only into the rcv4x directory for use with FSX. When I push the button to rebuild the scenery for use with FSX I am asked if it's for Wide??, and I respond "no." Then I have to enter where FS is found and I used the "trailing" "" (c:program filesmicrosoft gamesflight simulator X). Then there are other buttons to push but nothing happens until the run…

I have Ultimate traffic installed, and loaded with over 100 AI GA aircraft, flight plans generated with GA-Traffic. When I use FS9 ATC the types of my AI aircraft are called, making a lot fun and realistic, but RC never calls the aircraft types, only tail numbers, kinda boring. Any fix? Thanks.....

Hi all First post here. I have been using FS for years now but just using GA aircraft. Just started using the big jets.Question,, What controls wheather you get the option for IFR when you contact tower for taxi? I use FSBuild for makeing up flight plan, then export to FS & FSNav.That way I can fly the flight plan and watch it on other monitor.Sometimes I get the menu with the IFR option, sometimes not,???I have ordered RC, Just waiting for it to arrive.Useing mostly default 737,,,I start with making plan in FSB, it usualy has one already, export to FS & FSNav,,Run FS and choose Flight planner and select the just made plan and let FS move my plane to the selected…

Is there a way to add a new aircraft type to the list. I generally fly a Cirrus for GA purposes but its not in the list. Can I add it somehow?Thanks,Ed

Help, please, I'm a little confused now! I have loaded RC v 4.O.3675, and have another downloaded file RC401update.exe in my downloads folder! I had a bad experience several months ago of RC v4.2 closing right after I save the flight file before take off when lined up on the runway. (A procedure I always follow) Windows posted a run time error 76 message and so I gave up on RC v.4 for awhile and tried again recently and came with the same problem and I noticed it would always happen after I save the flight file into FS. I thought that because my FS9 was operating on F: drive that by movning RC back to C: drive would solve the problem but the same problem occured again. I checked to see if the FLT/WX. path was correct and it may not have been but I made sure that it was. Then I downloaded the latest FSUIPC 37.…

Hey guys,Got the CD yesterday and a prompt reply to my email enabled me to get RCv4.2 up and running. I'm having a hard time getting the Adv Text box to function however.If I'm running FS in full screen mode, the box constantly flickers. If i put FS into a window mode, it remains solid. This appears to happen regardless of if its docked or not. I've tried having differnt background colours or the transperant options...still just flickers away. Lucky i'm not epileptic. Is there a way around this?Kael

Hi all,Can anyone tell me whether co-pilot 3.5 for FSX is compatible with radar contact 4.3 for FSX? I have used a lot of flight planners including some very popular ones but radar contact gives me differing vectors from the flight plan i created and installed in RC. Here's the Readers Digest version:- Uninstalled existing copy of FS9 on home PC (COMPUTER)- Used TuneUp 2007 to remove all registry entries of old FS9 install, deleted Application DataMicrosoftFS9, Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9, as well as My DocumentsFlight Simulator Files.- Installed fresh copy of FS9 on PC (COMPUTER). Hi folksI'm using RC4 successfully with both the Aeroworx B200 and DreamFleet's 727 - it's a great product and really adds to the realism. I have one problem which is during pushback. As keys "1" and "2" are already assigned to RC4, how can I make a left or right-hand turn during the pushback phase (normally the "1" and "2" keys in FS9)? It's not such a problem with the King Air, but I can quickly run out of room with the 727 when reversing in a straight line until I'm far enough back to taxi forward and turn clear of other aircraft or buildings. Does anyone have any solutions?Thanks in anticipation.Oscar

Hey all. I've been using FS and RC for years now and lately RC doesn't tell me to proceed on course or vector me on course after departure. I take off on runway heading and wait. Eventually I proceed on course on my own without ATC authorization but they never tell me to like they used to. Any ideas?

Hi, i am sure it must be something i am doing but I use FS Navigator to plan a flight from Southend (UK) to Malpensa (Italy) VOR to VORand I have flown it twice now both times towards the end of the flight ATC instructed me to descend and I flew into the Alps !!!! should I have ignored the instructions to descend ?? what am i doing wrong...ThanksDave Norman

As a new RC4 user I'm very impressed with the ATC realism but am confused about saving RC4 files even after reading the previous post on this subject. I have saved several RC4 flight with all three methods suggested on page 120 of the RCV4 pdf file. Those saved with the default ";" key could be found in the default My Documents/Flight Simulator Files folder as type "WX". Those saved with the other two RC4 key combination could not be found after shuting down and reloading RC4.To what folder should the RCV4 flights to be saved? Coming from the northeast over Twenty Nine Palms I was vectored to heading 130 in preparation for approach to Rwy 31L. Altitude was at 10,000 was is high even though there is high terrain. I heard nothing and found myself over the Salton Sea and at 43 miles out I gave up, turned around and did my own approach much to the dismay of RC. It kept yelling at me about my heading and altitude. Being very familiar with Palm Springs, the vectors are not THAT far out. Never had RC take me that far out, even for a large airport. Can you think of what happened and how far out was I supposed to go?Thanks

Hey all,It's only happened once (last night- i've only had the product a couple of months but fly regularly) on very short finals to YMML (Melbourne, Aus) an AI ventured onto the runway extremely close to my landing point. It had enough time to "duck" across the runway but i could almost see the whites of the pilot's eyes. i should have been called for a go-around and this didn't occur. have VOZ scenery installed. has this happened to anyone else at other airports? i think i have the appropriate boxes ticked- interact with AI.Also JD (or other) should I hear ground call AI to hold short at holding points (runway crossings, hold for other traffic etc) when on ground freque…

I thought I would try letting the Co-Pilot land the plane. So I was 140 mi from KORD desending to FL290. I handed both the Plane and Comm over to the Co-pilot. My question is since I was using the GPS for navigation and speed and altitude was being handled by the autopilot, do I have to turn off anything to give control to the Co-Pilot? I know that I have to use a vectored approach for the Co-Pilot to follow for landing.Is there anything else I need to do?Thanks in advance to all who reply.bill

I usually hand over comms to the co-pilot.Saves a lot of time, quite realistic and works well....to a point...Problem is at a change of frequency, he never re-tunes the nav radio to the new freq, so I have to do it (press 1) and if I don't the controllers start getting upset and repeating the request!Even if I give him control of the plane and comms he doesn't switch freq's so I can't leave him to fly a long oceanic as we'll lose contact in the middle of the ocean!?So, question 1) should he be able to do this?2) If he should what am I doing wrong?3)If he can't why did the Avsim reviewer tell me he did in a private email asking about it specifically????!
