Hi Everyone,First time poster, I just got my CD this morning :). I am installing/defragging now and John already got me my key in ~ 10 miutes. Thanks for that!My question and I am sure it will be the first of many is this: What version is shipped on the CD? Is it 4.0, 4.2 or 4.3? I am using FS9 exclusively so do I even need 4.3? Just trying to figure out if I need to apply any patches or fixes to the my cd install.Other than that I have the FAQ page open, the manual by my side and the tutorials ready to go. With RC4 we only have the option, pre-flight, to request a "push and start" while I have often heard the AI request permission for engine start. Depending on how one is parked, a push is not always necessary so I was wondering whether for v5 we would have this option?Iain Smith

I would love to be able to be flying along VFR just enjoying the scenery then being able to start Radar Contact up, to maybe request vectoring to an airport i like the look of or because the weather ahead is bad so i need to land.I enjoy this program a great deal but feel this would be 'the icing on the cake'. I can't find a post about this, just reinstalled RC 4 for FS9 and when I tried to Rebuild Scenery DB after I clicked No to FSWide the response was "Markerways.exe is not in your FS path, which it should be". I don't remember having this problem before on previous installs.Thanks,Larry

Imidiate take off when there're no aircrafts lined up or on final.3. Imidiate take off after landing traffic. (Include maybe landing company).4. Chance to choose between normal and a bit faster conversations.5. Book a gate and do not allow any aircrafts standing there when arrived. (Now, I tell RC which stand I'll arrive at and in many cases there are planes allready standing there. I bet it is the issue regardning that RC is yet not capable with FS2004's ATC.)6. I was approaching Toronto Pearson (CYYZ) following the Simcoe STAR for RWY 33R. I fist asked for an RNAV app. On a heading of 240 and just before the downwind for 33R, I asked for vectors to the runway, expecting a left turn to 140-150 degrees for downwind. What ATC gave me was a RIGHT turn to 310 degrees. They left me on that heading untill I was almost past the airport.In another instance I was downwind for 15L, when I asked for vectors. Instead of turning me left about 230 degrees to intercept the LOC, I was turned right to about 060 eventually turning me back to 240 in a large circle to intercept the LOC for 15L.Has anyone else expreriance anything like this?Dave Fish…

Hello,I successfully installed Radar Contact on my new Intel Core 2 DUO PC, where FS-9 and FSX are installed. My only problem was minor: the ATC text displayed in the default MS FS ATC window, and not the ADV window. I assumed that I simply did not configure the ADV or RCV4 ATC display option properly. Of greater concern, my frame rate had become unacceptably low (low teens, sometimes lower, with all FS sliders full right). Therefore, I decided to uninstall RCV4 from my DUO PC and reinstalled it and WideFS on my networked Intel P4 PC. Hi jd and all RC users,I have used RC 4.2 for some time now with no problems.About a month ago having completed a flight ,when I came to close down RC,FS9,Active Sky 6.5 and Traffic 2005,for each oneI received a warning that the exe files had problems.I uninstalled all progs associated with FS9 as well as RC.I then reformatted my disc,ran virus checks ,spyware checks ,all of which showed no problems.I then reloaded all FS( and selected add onstogether with RC4.2.RC did its updates and ran makerways torebuild scenery base with no probs.I then set about trying a flightand when I came to run RC4.2 I get runtime error 62 callsigns.This has now happened on six occasions.My set…

After my last reinstall on Wide, my flightplan waypoints are being spoken as "zero zero" rather than their proper letters.Makerways is run, scenery is rebuilt, everything is fine except this. which I've never had before.

Are you aware of any compatibility problems with RC and Active Sky X as I am experiencing a very weird problem. RC4 is not recognizing any AI aircraft's on the ground. RC4 direct me to taxi to the runway and there are 3 or 4 planes in front of me. After you are airborne everything in the sky is identified. The other interesting point is that Flight Commander 8 does not show any aircraft on the ground. Before I install ASX (SImconnect) everything was fine. Hi, I'm just hoping that someone can set me straight here. I've set up Radar Contact on a second PC and the network side of things appears to all check out and is working properly. However when I try to start RC4 on the client it tells me "Cannot link to FSUIPC or Wide Client" and I'm blowed if I can find what is wrong..I have included FSX and Modules on the "Share this file" in the network setup.Any advice would be appreciated and thankyou in anticipation.

I am not sure if this question is for RC4 or Level-D.Using CNTRL-SHIFT-M, I shift the flying to the 1st officer. However, he does not set the heading or alitudes, as he does in the default FSX 737. The CNTRL-SHIFT-K function(switch comms) seems to work correctly. Perhaps I have something in the 767 not set up correctly? Any ideas?jim

Is it possible to fly without an airline or company name? Simply as a GA A/C with a private registration number? Up the Irons!!

RC4 does not seem to pick up any of the waypoints in my flight plans!! I've used FSBuild and exported to FSCommander. When I open up the saved plan in FSC it is correct, but when I load it into RC4 there are no waypoints listed!!Up the Irons!!

Help please ? im trying to take my first flight with Rc but am having a problem interacting with the Adv display. All software is loaded (including Fsuipc), flight plans in place, display shows my first instructions but nothing happens when I press the required keys. What have I omitted to do ? neil clan

Hi, I keep hear the tower clear me to land but does not tell me the runway number. I though the tower will clear you to land on runway ###. Seems that the only runway indication give is from approach. Is this true in real life?Thanks,Bill
