I was a user of RC3 and loved it. The only things that had kept me from picking up RC4 were - the price was a little more than most "add ons" and you had to order the CD... no downloads. I am an impulse buyer, I want it now! So, now that you can download it, I logged on Saturday night and got it. I was expecting to have to wait until Monday to use it, as it has to be activated via e-mail. Despite the frustration I have had with other developers that use this method I was pleased to have my activation code NINE MINUTES after requesting it. On a Saturday night! THANK YOU!That is good news because I flew ALL DAY Sunday. I LOVE IT!!! The upgrades made from RC3 are amazing. It…

I've been trying to map some of the RC responses (1 and 7) to the joystick on FSX so I don't have to take my hand off of the stick to respond and have had no success. Is this possible and how to you do it?Thanks!Mike

I was flying across northern Australia and was flying GPS between Cairnes and Darwin. I was 30 miles into my route, right on track and began getting repeated calls telling me I was off coure and was ordered to do a 180 to head back until I had nav data (paraphrased). I did that and flew the 30 miles back to Cairnes... went back to my flight plan. At the same point RC began harping about my course. My flight was VFR using low altitude airways, flying via GPS.Any idea why RC was calling me an idiot for being off course? I'm not saying that I'm not an idiot, I just don't know what I was doing wrong.

1-Every time when I decent to BIKF (Iceland), RC gives me 12,000 FT altitude, when plane reaches to FL120. RC keep saying I am not in FL120. I verify my altitude and local Baro settings, but RC goes on and on, then stops to give any more directions. I end up landing with out ATC instructions. 2- Mostly in my Intl approaches RC brings me to 7000 Ft and stops to give any more vectors for landing runways. I have to made my approaches based on local approach plates, then RC connects me to Tower. So, what happens between 7000 Ft and to final approach fix, NO control by RC??Please adviseSanal

Sorry, this has nothing to do with RC but a question came up in a newsgroup about who has the right of was at an airport while taxiing - aircraft or ground vehicles. My guess is that it's copntroller discretion but generally the a/c gets the right of way.Can someone confirm?Thanx,VicQ6600 G0 CPU 2.4 o/c 3.65Evga 680i A1 with P31 BIOS 2G XP2-8500 DDR2 1066FSB Mushkin 996535 RAM 5-5-4-12-2T320G 7200 HD partitioned for XP/Vista/Programs 2 - 74G Raptors in RAID0 500G 7200 HD for backup SATA DVD burner Evga 8800GTS 640 PCIx 169.13 betaKandalf LCS case w/ built in liquid cooling 850W Thermaltake power supplyVisit the Virtual Pilot's Centerwww.flightadventures.comhttp://www.hifis…

So last night on the way into TNCM from KMIA, I was told to go around at around 500'. (THis was for rwy 9.) So, I'm told climb and maintain 4000, when able turn left heading 095*. I do both, and hold both, and don't hear from ATC. The copilot is on the comms, but there's no options to choose except for Req. IAP Approach, even though I wan a visual for rwy 9. SO I click on that anyway, and then hit "none" then choose RWY 9. It requests (and I am granted) the "full approach" for rwy 9. I circle back around, and come into land again when I'm told once again to go around. Same procedure repeats itself. Finally, on the 3rd attempt, I don't get landing clearance or even a "cont…

Thinking of buying RC and have a specific question. With the default FS ATC if you acknowledge a direction to switch to a different ATC and frequency but don't do so, you can continue your flight without any further instructions from ATC until you near your destination, switch freq & contact ATC and resume normal ATC ops. I do this on many long flights so that I can do other things and not be chained to my computer for three or four or however many hours. Is this possible with RC? Since almost all my flying is with the virtual airline VPA which requires a once an hour check in, even if not flying online, the pause and resume is not a viable choice. Thank you.Ray St…

I read the review from AVSIM regarding your product and could be interested to acquire it. One question regarding the ATC window: In FS 9 one can select to avoid having the ATC window popping up on the screen when receiving a message, is this possible too with your system or not? (The reviewer complained that in the virtual cockpit that window could not be locked in any particular location). Thank you to clarify.Best regards,Jean-Claude

Hello, first post. I am having problems getting 4.3 set up correctly for FS9 in XP Pro. I set up the program as best I could as per the manual. I made a flight plan in FSNav 4 and saved this for FS2004 (not Radar Contact). I opened FS9 and got an adventure text box (FS9 style). I called up Real Weather. Next I opened RC and loaded the flightplan. Then I pressed start and went back to FS9. There was no green RC adventure text display although this was checked in the modules menu. I used key '2' (page 35 in the manual) to get a weather briefing. This produced both FS9 default ATIS and the RC ATIS transmitting together. When I tried to get a clearance using '1' RC didn't a…

Just got RC4.3 working this evening, read through ALL the manuals and ALL the tutorials, so I figured I was well versed in the RC procedures. Seems straightforward enough.First off, I'm running FSX SP2 and Vista 64bit.To start, I could not import a FSX flightplan, because I was missing a DLL file. Checked the FAQ, downloaded the file, and I was golden. Fired up FSX and imported my plan into RC and it worked. In FSX, I disabled all the ATC options that I was supposed to. Now, when pressing some of the number keys to select my appropreate choices, they would only work about half the time. So I figure, okay, I'll change them in case of conflict. So I make it instead of press…

Hi there GuysI am thinking of buying RC4 in the next couple of days, I just wanted to ask whether there was a way to choose which runways are in use. Presently (although I use default ATC very very little), I go into the AFCAD editor and choose which ones are open for takeoff, and which for landing. For example, at Heathrow, I like to set one of the 27s for takeoff and the other for landing, depending on the time of day. Is there any way to do this in RC4? If so, does it involve rebuilding the scenery file every time? Thanks for any help you can offer.Kind regardsRudy

I am running FSX PMDG 747-400X, Radar Contact and FSMeteo. I have FS2Crew also but understand that it is NOT compatible with Radar Contact.1. How do I convert or upload a flight plan that I create in FSX to Radar Contact. I see no "export" area in the FSX flight planner.2. What about flight plans created with Route Finder?3. Am I correct in this procedure?a. Open FSX, thenb. Open FSMeteo, thenc. Open RCWould sure appreciate any help you can give.Jeff EvenRocklin, California, USA

Hi everyone,Just wondering, if I wanted to ride my A340 or 744 into VHHX, would there be a specific procedure to follow for IGS 13 with respect to RC? It is installed properly. When on approach, how would I be vectored? To MM then do the 47 degree starboard turn withouut guidance? After flying from CYYZ, I would only have enough fuel for one GA. Or should I just request IAP and do it on my own?

Hello, on a recent flight I prepared my flight plan with a crusie altitude of FL270. Once I was almost at FL270, I realized that there was still a lot of bumpy clouds at that altitude, so I requested FL310. ATC's reponse was to clear me to FL310 but they added something I couldn't quite make out (I asked hem to repeat a few times and still no luck). It sounded like "best rate" through FL280, or "report through" FL280 or something like that.Any idea what I was being told? I didn't do anything special climbing through FL280 and didn't get told off or anything...Thanks, DaveCYHZ

Questions, for Ray probably.1.Just out of idle curiosity how did you get your recordings of the HF chatter in the Nadi,Auckland etc regions? If you can reveal that of course!I've just done a flight from LAX to Fiji -for the first first time-and come across a lot of recorded HF chatter2.Second question,a bit off topic perhaps, have you seen,or used, the real time radar display available on a PC with a piece of kit called the SBS-1?I saw it at the EGCC viewer car park shop the other day.Very impressive.especially as it was a very clear day.A lot of folk have been telling their stories of tracking BA038 into EGLL yesterday(on another "spotting"web site)

Just had a bit of finger problem, and instead of hitting 3 to request deviations for turbulance, hit 4 by mistake and cancelled IFR, thus shutting down RC. Would it be possible for v5 to include a confirmation that I do indeed wish to cancel, or put the cancel option on a separate screen, to avoid this problem?

Hello and thanks for this product which has lured me away from the little hassles that online flying can bring. My question is one i cannot seem to find using the search on the forum so i hope someone could help me.Basically it is to do with the ground handling side of RC wherein i seem to be consitently in conflict on the taxiways with the AI traffic(Ultimate traffic). I do use charts even though i am offline so my taxi routes are as per the AIS of the airport in question yet i keep coming head to head with traffic quite a lot, especially on muti RW ops like Heathrow. Is this something that can be fixed within FS or is it a conflict. The pilots of the said jets are total…
