Greetings,I think this would be a good place to ask this question.I like to fly the Flight1 ATR 72-500 now. I fly around the NW and use KSEA as my home airport. Since it's a commuter I usually make flights only 60-90 min long. As an example KSEA-CYVR. My questions center around flight planning. Do commuter flights use SIDS and STARS? I'm trying to make this as realistic as possible. So when I have a flight plan such as: KSEA RWY16L->PAE->HUH->YVR->CYVR RWY12. Would this require a DP? If not how would one transition from 16L to PAE? In the ATR the FMC shows 16L as a RNAV waypoint. So after takeoff and climb out I hit the autopilot and and it does a 180 to use R…

Since starting to use RC I have noticed some variations in quoted course headings. For example:Using FSNav to make a flight plan I might have the ILS approach to rwy 14 at Leeds EGNM given as 110.9 / 142 degrees.RC quotes for the same runway 11090 / 140.I also noted when returning from Moscow UUDD to Stansted EGSS that runway 27 was given by FSNav as xxxxx / 331 degrees - which is obviously VERY wrong!I also sometimes use a unility/guage which I have incorporated into various panels "RunwayInfo" and have now noticed there are variations shown with that also!!!I have not, so far, done a comparison with the Map feature in FS as to what that might give for the above examples.…

I have just reinstalled RC4 from the C.D. and have been trying to register the product (cos I seem to have misplaced the original reg. code) but every time I send the e-mail I get:"Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients. Subject: RCv4 Key Request Sent: 22/12/2007 13:35The following recipient(s) could not be reached: '[email protected]' on 22/12/2007 13:35 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)"Is this a problem at my end or yours?Steve

Hi, has anyone noticed any improvments in FS9 running RC on the second core on a duel core chip? Would I benefit if I leave core 0 to FS9 only, and core 2 for RC, Activesky, AI Smooth? Thanks,Bill

This is not a complaint...I was descending and had just reached my cleared altitude and got a frequency change. When I came up on the new frequency my response was, "Santa Maria Control, Night Cargo 3496, out of one one thousand for one one thousand."It must have just been an accident of timing and I got a chuckle out of it.

I have been troubleshooting for the past 2 hours, I believe I did everything correct so far. I go to load a flight plan, and then click RUN RC and I get an error message saying "Cannot link to FSUIPC or WideClient."Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am running FSX on Vista. Thank you so much!

HiI am using RC with Fs9.1 on vista and I love this app..however I have few questions :As advertised the ATC will put you on hold if there is traffic circling around at the airport. I however never get the HOLD instruction. Also when I am approaching , I would see AI Traffic come right in front of me and start decending...I always ultimately have to reduce my speed . After that I see the ATC just tells the Traffic to Go Around and now I am seeing lots of Go-Arounds at the airport.Anyway I can fix this?Cheers,Spiff

On a recent flight to KPIT, I was told to "go around" on two consecutive approaches. Now, the weather was pretty marginal, right down to minimums and AV6 may have taken it below minimum at times. I was out of time and had to shut down the flight, but it got me thinking - what conditions will cause RC4 to order a go around? I know landing gear up is one of these but how about weather? There was traffic waiting to take off, but had not been cleared onto the active runway.Dale

Hi all. RC is much better and more realistic than the built in ATC for sure. However, I only fly RC when I'm going into large cities because I can't get over the way the voices that RC uses flow. I wonder if anybody reading this has tweaked RC to sound as good as the built in ATC? Could it be my installation? I don't mean to belittle the program, it is a great addition and worth the money. But the sound bites are pieced together in such a way that it grates on my nerves to hear it. Some sound bites don't even match up - its like they were recorded on different days and the person was in different moods or something. It's truly a computer voice thing. Picky? Yes I am. I ha…

When I run the tutorial flilght BNA MEM I recieve vectors shortly after takoff. In this cace heading 240 toward the first waypoint. When I create a generic high airway flight plan I am never turned toward the first waypoint. Is this correct? I know that I would just turn when I want to after takeoff.Chirs

I have read many excellent reviews about the newest version of RC. In fact, I used RC back in the days of FS2000 and 2002 and enjoyed it immensely. With FS2004, I have for the first time used AI aircrafts, specifically with ones from World of AI. I have held back buying RC all this time, partly because I have noted some people have had difficulty with RC recognizing AIs via reading your forum's messages. So I think the time has come to get RC for my sim experience with FS2004. My question is: 1) Will I have any difficulty with RC controlling World of AI planes as I have enjoyed greatly having them in my sceneries eg Fly Tampa, Cloud9, etc.?2) I understand RC does …

Good day.If I purchase the CD box of RC, does it contain all the (new) added voices and call signs?? I remember seeing (some weeks back), that there was a list of call signs that people were requesting, and you were "all over it" and delivering them for download. And some new voices to add to the controller-pilot-FO list. I can't for the life of me find these files and am hoping it is because they are in the new CD, am I right??Golli.

I planned to fly out of EGKK to KJFK.I got clearance from RC and ground told me to use rwy 8R.Weather was easterly winds at 4kts. So makes sense to use an east facing rwy. However , to save time, I requested rwy 26L.When I lined up at 26L, I could see four aircraft at the taxiway at the other end (8R)waiting for tower's instrucrions. These are UT generated a/cs. Also straight ahead, abou 3nm, was a B737 on final. With al this ground and air traffic, tower cleared me for takeoof. I did that, and noticed the 737 executed a missed approach so as not to hit me!Question is- Does Rc assign takeoff runways as easy as that, just by my sudden request?Shouldn't RC refuse me the alt r…

Hiya Guys,I have tried three times to instigate holding patterns at my favourite airport of EGAC (Belfast City) and also at Manchester EGCC. I have ensured that "holding" is ticked in the "general" section. However nothing happens. I just receive vectors to final as usual. I am flying regional flights in the Majestic Dash 8, cruising altitiude 200. Am I missing something? Is there anything else I need to do? I did read somewhere either on the forum on in the manual that if you choose holding then you will always be held.Cheers, rory

Yesterday night after long overseas flight with PMDG 747 I landed at KEWR. Visibility was close to zero. I tried taxi to a gate. RC, when I left runway gave me a gate instruction with out any Taxi instructions as usual. I tried to find a gate under dense fog. Suddenly US Air 737 crash into 747 and we had a taxi way collusion..FsP stooped the flight and declared "crash" . Many hours long flight ended with a disappointment.I like RC and I don't fly without it. The only disappointment is always when you landed, and want to gate or to active runway, you are dealing an unrealistic story taxing in major air ports without any guidance.I wonder RC developers have any planing for …

I never spent much time with the default ATC in FS9. However, from my research, despite it's shortcomings, it sounds like the default ATC in FS9 might occasionally give instructions for a side step approach.I've never gotten such an instruction from RC4 and I'm wondering if there is such a thing within the program or some way to replicate...uh...without FAA jumping on my tail after landing, that is?Thank you.Ed Lin, D.O.S.

HiWhen I'm running RC, the AI chatter works great! However, the controller never says the type aircraft for GA planes. When talking to the airliners I hear "United 745, Southwest 91, Skywest 4760 etc..." But when the controllers talk to GA aircraft they only say the call sign and not "Cessna N556TM, Learjet N95MT etc..."I know that the default ATC uses the General section in the aircraft.cfg file so I went throught all my aircraft.cfg files to make sure the aircraft ID's matched with your P4 file. In the sample below, ATC should say "Citation"[General]atc_type=Cessnaatc_model=CE500editable=1performance=Cruise Speed: 358 ktnCeiling: 35,000 ftnI'm I doing something wrong …

So after looking at different cockpit and cabin voice packages I found my old copy of FDC. I have upgraded to the FSX/vista program but can't recall if there was a conflict between FDC and RC. Talk about not looking (asking) before you leap.
