Recently the profile for an account I used to run FS9 got corrupted. A new administrator account was created for FS9. I setup RC4 options including .FLT/.WX Path option. RC4 ignores the .FLT/.WX Path as it saves the .RC4 file in the D:Documents and Settings folder and not the D:Documents and SettingsuserMy DocumentsFlight Simulator Files folder with the .RC4 file having the naming convention user.rc4.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks,

I've been out of touch and have not used my Radar Contact for a long time.The version I have installed is 4.01Following guidance I received via canned email's, I tried to install V.2 enroute to 4.3. I downloaded and unzipped the file but when clicking on the .exe I get a message that it can't find RCV.dat file. The version (4.01) I have loaded works. I'm running it on FS9. How do I proceed.

Hi friends,I downloaded the above program a few days ago; on my FS2004 bar, under "Modules", I do not detect the ADVDISP, but the interface window appears anyway once I start Radar Contact. So I can use the program.Furthermore, the "Check for Updates"-tab does not appear on the main program panel.Are the above 2 items normal in the Version 4.3.3845 ?Thanks for a few linesBest regards,Rene Alder

I lost RC sound suddenly. I never did any problem with RC. Last week I purchased PMDG-747 and RC did work well until tonight. RC-texts were on the screen but there are no sounds.I checked with LDS-767, RC-fs9 and RCX no sounds also.Will you please advise how I can obtain sound again.Sanal

Hi AllI have done numerous flights using FSBuild to generate a flightplan.I did a flight from San Diago (KSAN) to Las Vegas (KLAS).On this particular flight I had Otto flying the aircraft and was cleared for the approach rwy 25R.I was given a heading which took me on the downwind leg to Rwy 25R and was expecting to get a heading for the cross wind at about 17 Miles East of the airport, but nothing happened and the plane kept flying with no further instructions.I the requested an IAP approach and flew the approach myself, with the usual congratulations.The same problem occured several days ago on another flight during the downwind leg.When doing a streight in approach, It …

Hi all,When I fly a Flightplan from Amsterdam to where ever,as soon I have to contact center he ask me to fly i.e. hdg350???My flightplan says fly hdg 154 because I am gong south!!!How come?And HOW I put the right rwys from Amsterdam in the menu of RC????I am a NEWBE so pls be patient???Thanks on advanceGeert

I did a little searching and the only entries I found were pretty old, so I thought I had best ask myself.Is there any way to have RC use Com 2 to receive ATIS/AWOS/ASOS etc? If not is there any way to still receive regular flight sim weather so I would still have the option of getting WX without leaving the freq?

I want to run Radar Contact on a second PC using Widefs. I have already configured Widefs and Wideclient on the main and second PC's and these both operate OK. I have FS9 installed on the main PC.Which PC do I install RC on? If I try to install RC on the second PC I get an error message saying - "Setup was unable to create directory "Y:modules" the system cannot find the path specified". If I have to install RC on the main PC how do I get it to run from the second PC? All very confusing........Hope someone out there can help.Thanks in anticipation,Alan

I seem to be having the same problem repeatedly, where FSX crashes back to dektop at the moment in flight when RC asks if you have Arrival ATIS info. When I choose negative,couple of seconds later the CTD occurs.I am running XP (SP2) ,FSX,ASX and FSC with RC. All works perfect until Arrival info. Also using latest FSUIPC ver 4 4.20.

Hi All, I have a problem in that I have no AI or Background chatter files playing. I have both ticked in the set up. Both functions worked some time ago but I have be away from MSFS for some months and I've now started using it again. There have been no major changes to my pc in that time. Hi, i'm using the fantastic level-d 767 (for FSX) with fs2crew and rc 4.3. Finally i want to start flying transatlantic routes. i did a lot of reading about how to manage these flights (there is great tutorial on avsim about it). my question is, how does rc 4.3 handle transatlantic flights? can i make positon reports, do i have to change transponder to 2000, what about SELCAL, RVSM, ETOPS, ...I couldn't find anything about it in the manual. searching in the forum only showed me a question related to it for rc3.thanks for your information!Chrjs

Hi folksFinally finished a new system with dual boot XP-Pro & Vista, both with FS9, FSX and RCv4. Phew!I downloaded v4.3 with the link i was sent (thank you), and everything seems fine for FSX. When i enter the installation path for FS9 though, nothing happens. Do i need to install the earler version for FS9?thanks

Hi,I have ben running RC 4.2XXXX on a client machine for FS9. I recently purchased a quadcore so that I can run bot FS9 and FSX. I have a couple of questions:1. Can I move RC over to the FS machines and let it run on the unused cores without losing performance? If that's a good idea do I need to set core affinities?2. I know I need to download and install version 4.3. If I decide not to use the client machine, do I need another registration key to install on the FS machine.Any help would be appreciated.ThanksJeb

This isn't as much a plea for help as it is a question about what seems like an open ended feature...Today I got busted for repeated altitude infractions (Yes, they were all my fault, you try hand flying across the atlantic real time and see if YOU make any mistakes!)The Fisdo asked a question at the end and I was wondering... Is there a potential feature involving dealing with Fisdo after a bad flight? Or was that just there to slap you across the face a couple times?

I cant' seem to pinpoint this but sometimes I keep getting slammed by ATC that I am busting my altitude.It's happening to me again now so this time I dediced to ask the question.I am flying the CLS-DC10 Brussels to London.I am exactly at 15,000 feet. SHIFT-Z confirms this, my QNH is set by pressing B.But ATC keeps saying "you busted....." Your assigned altitude is 15,000Which is exactly where I'm at.Is this a bug of some sort or am I missing something?Thanks.

Am I correct in my reading that if I make a new fictitious airport with Flight1's AFX and stock it with complete communication frequecies in all aspects and ATIS that RC4 will still never recognize the comm frequencies on the controller page and I'll have to manually enter them each time I use RC4 for that airport?Randy Jura, KPDX
