I've just recently started flying into larger, more complex airports because I finally got a computer that can handle the performance hit of a complex add on plane, addon traffic at busy major airports (Chicago O'hare or Denver Int'l are common ones for me).Anyhow, I did a flight yesterday into O'hare and I had a 747 taxiing across the runway as I'm being cleared to land - bad news lol. Hi,I've been a long-time user of RC with FS9. I recently moved to Australia, hauled my old rig with me but also built a new machine to play with Vista and FSX. After a little bit of frustration I have to report: So far so good. I am running FSX-SP1, ActiveSky X, X-Graphics and the Level-D 763.However, I would very much like to be using RC as well and my questions are these:1) Since I already have a copy of RC4 (Version 4.2.3831)on my old computer and running with FS9 do I need to actually buy a new copy of RC4 for my FSX machine?2) If not, it seems that the url for the upgrade to 4.01 is not available (http://www.dave*******.com/rcv401update.exe).So I wouldn't be able …

Just done my first flight using RC4 - Tutorial 1. What a great piece of software; makes you realize how lacking the FS ATC is! Fantastic - can't wait for the next version. The only criticsm is the taxiing to the gate - no help given. Tony :-)

The very first time RC started to act up was Monday. I tried to fly Concorde from EGLL-KJFK. Everything was going fine until I was airborne. Then I got some sort of FSUIPC error. Sorry but I don't know what it was exactly because I thought if I reinstalled RC and replaced FSUIPC, it would start working again. But now, I can't even load up a flight plan. i had everything working for fs9 then i went and set up fsx and now i keep geting the registration form again now fs9 don't even work i would like to use rc4 for both. what am i doing wrong, thanks

I just purchased Radar Contact V4.3 today (download version).I got the registration pretty quickly (less than an hour), however I cannot make it work.I pasted my key in the white field ad instructed and then hit the registration button. Then the programm closes as expected.But when I start it again, I still get the registration page instead of the working program.This seems to be a commun issue, however I am not able to fix that problem, it occurs every time I want to register.Can someone help me?... I have been using the latest version of RC for about 2 weeks now and i have enjoyed this program immensley.I am running FS9 and ultimate traffic and various other add ons,I have completed about 12 domestic UK flights using aircraft such as lds 767 ,dash 8-300 and pmdg 737 . The only problem i have experienced is RC communicating with AI traffic,i have completed only about 3 flights were the RC atc communicates fully with AI traffic.Most of the flights that i have completed have been with RC communicating only with the aircraft that i am operating,i have seen plenty of AI traffic at the same level in the cruise and on TCAS and RC has not been communicating with them.I hav…

HI,i'm using FSX with RC 4.3 and i'm quite happy with it. however sometimes the small window with the possible answers (keys) seems to freeze and it is not catching up with the program itself. for example i had to go around because of poor visibility and the controler kept asking me what i want to do. but on the RC-window there was no option to choose, then it just disappeared and there was no chance getting it back!Is it a problem of RC 4.3, FSX or my computer (too slow?)?thanks for your suggestionsChrjs

hi all,(in RCv4) is there a way to disable the distance remainging counter to the active waypoint in the atc window or altogether? if so, could someone give instructions on how to do so? i hope this function is gone in RCv5. i don't see why it's there in the first place with so many A/C being equipped with GPS's and FMC's that can give you the same info. thanks in advance for the help. happy flyin, fm

Hi! I bought RC4 yesterday. Now I'm trying to use it.I set everything right: flight plan, ATC options, Audio options etc. But when I start RC and go to FS I can't find the command to view the ADV window in FS. There's only FSUIPC in the modules tab!FS9 is correctly installed, RC installer didn't create any "modules" folder under c: so it knows where FS folder is.I installed and configured RC correctly, I followed the manual instructions. RC works right during the preparation of the flight plan, the only problem is the ADV window missing in the modules tab...Where do I find it?CiAo!

Hi all Recently was flying toward Boston at FL350 when the TCAS started telling me to "CLIMB, CLIMB NOW". Nearly spilling my coffee, I took avoiding action, just missing opposite direction traffic at my altitude and 1/2 mile to my starboard. I have only flown with RC4 a few times but was very suprised that I did not get a warning of this traffic from the Boston controller ( perhaps he was having coffee too :-) Can someone explain why I didn't get a warning.

Hello , after the Controller give a Command , i must wait 10-15 Seconds to can Answer. But sometimes , i can answer without any break , maybe 1 Second.Is this normal ?I use RC 4.3 with FSX (SP1) and 10% AI-Trafficgreetings J

Hi,Ive just purchased Radar Contact and downloaded the lastest verison for FSX. However, when running FSX i don't get an ADV display just the FSUPIC display window. This does seem to have the correct options on it 1,2 or 0 for menu but non of the keys seem to do anything. I can't find anything speicic for FSX in the quick start guide so was after some advice on what i could be doing wrong?Thansk in adanceMike.

Ok folks, I bought this in December, tried it with FS9. Never had any success. Recently thought I would try it again with FSX. Just jumped through the hoops as specified in the diagrams - upgrading to 4.3, registering the .dll file etc. All seemed to work ok. Loaded a flight plan in FSX. Tried to resize and dock the little window, but all that was under there was FSUIPC and I could not even select that. FSX crashes every other time if I try and alt-tab out to another program, so the need for this to launch RC4 AFTER FSX is sketchy. Today for instance it allowed it once - let me back in to FSX, but after that when I tried it again (to go back to RC4 for instance) I…

How long does it normally take to receive the registration key after sending the auto generated email for Radar Contact.

Need some guidence" I am currently running rcv 4.2.3831 for FS9 and it's running great. I rcvd an E-Mail for downloading rcv4.3 for FSX back in january but was in the process of purchasing a new computer. I'm just getting around to rcv4.3 now. I have read the news release and install instructions in the forums but am still unsure of the process. Do I need to Purchase an all new rcv4.3 for FSX or can I get a discount being an already customer. Also as for installing the version for FSX where exactly do I unzip the files too or will the install program automatically do the installing. Hello All:I have been using Radar Contact for a while now without a problem. It is a superb program. Yesterday, I started Active Sky (weather only no graphics), then started FSX, planned my flight from LFPG to LOWI with FSBuild, and started rcv4x. After setting up radar contact, the instant I clicked on "Start RC", my aircraft was instantly transported to the intersection of the prime meridian and the equator. I have since found that I can not use any flight plan to anywhere out of DeGaulle without this occurring. Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? I have tried with and without Active Sky with the same results, so I don't think Active Sky is the problem. I…

Automatic "registration key request" did not work and I have since sent 2 emails asking for the key. It is almost 24hours now. Sorry if I sound a tad impatient but I cannot be sure if my emails are reaching their target.Bill

I've just installed RC, after I import a flight plan, and click 'Start RC' I get an error saying the the program can't connect with FSUIPC. I've check, and I have the current version of FSUIPC installed. Any ideas?
