Started using RC4 now as my default ATC now since getting the Level D 767.I am running into an issue fairly regularly though. I have my flighplan, RC reads it fine, all good there.I takeoff, fly my SID and then proceed enroute but after some stage RC tells me to return to a heading which is usually almost the opposite of what I have flown saying I went off course etc.I don't know why it does this but it's extremely annoying so what am I doing wrong to cause this?Thx

I've been using RC4 for over 1 1/2 year now and I'm pretty happy of it.I just seem to have problem using RC4 with Samsoft's WSSS scenery (Scenery was rebuilded several times, each time I install/modify a scenery; it usually works OK for all areas, except this one). RC4 seems lost there, gives erratic vectors (such as an intercept vector when abeam the field, in the middle of downwind and nowhere near a suitable turning point) and, if asking a full ILS approach, will completely "forget" me, never handing off to tower and just giving traffic advisories even on the ground.Anyone having similar nuisances ?Tks for any advice.Enrico

As a new user I have the text show up on the screen. The problem is that the last word or words do not show up on the line even though there is plenty of room on the line. An example is, "TAXI TO" after that the word "RAMP" shows on as a single word later all by itself. This is more of a problem when it does not give the runway number.Any help here?Thanks,Peter H.

First let me say I love the idea of RC for advanced users. It finally gives me the ability and control to fly how I'm used to in the real world. A little background information to get started would be good, ehh. Currently runing FSX SP1 w/ Vista 32 bit while ASX/UTX are taking care of the graphics. System specs are listed below. Now onto the problems. Program loads fine but I still hear FSX ATC in the background. For example, If I'm checking ATIS via RC, I still hear FSX ATC announce the ATIS ontop of RC's auido. This problem presists during the flight as well, I still hear FSX's ATC blaber, is there a way to fix this problem? Currently I'm using FSX's flight planne…

I am getting [now every time] a message "Run time error 76 FSUIPC.RCV4CODE", and of course Radar contact stops. What is this please?

Hi,I bought RC V4.3 approximately one week ago and I love it. Great work!I have got a problem with Flightdeck Companion (FDC), when I use it together with RC. I already browsed threw the forum but I couldn't find any topic which exactly matches my problem.I run the latest version of RC (V4.3) and the latest version of FDC (V3.7.9) on my Windows Vista PC. I use FS2004.The problem is the following:When I connect RC and FDC to flightsim, Radar Contact works very well and I can hear the cabin announcements by FDC. Hi JD:I have just installed RC on a Vista system and FSX. I'm using the registered version of FSUIP V.4.16.When launching RC directly (without right click and "run as administrator" option) the first screen appears and works perfectly. I load a flight plan, I select the options and when presing the big key for starting RC it desapears as normally. In the FSX screen appears the message windows perfectly, but when selecting option 1 in the window, it hangs and a window with the following message appears: "Runtime error 75. Is it possible to start a flight and RC in the air? I would like to practice approaches into various airports, and don't want the departure/enroute phase - I would like to set the sim up with the plane in cruise at 8,000 feet, 15 miles out, heavy weather, and then let RC do its stuff.Possible?

Hi JD,I am having the same problem with radar contact as jreixa. But the only thing I get is the Runtime error "75" RadarContact.fsuipc.rev4code. This happens in administrator mode or not and only after loading a flight plan and trying to get either the weather brief or clearance. Thanks for the help and your time.

I'm not sure I'm requesting a new key correctly.How long should I wait until complaining ?Why do they make it so difficult to reinstall RC.....at the moment - especially with upgrading hardware, it looks like I'll be reinstalling a few more times until everything is running well.I don't have this problem with FSCommander or Active Sky - serial number on reinstall - done !

Hello everybody,I have just bought a new, fresh computer with FS X, so far free of any addons. I have here freshly toasted Radar Contact CD ready to be installed.My question is: in a couple of weeks the Acceleration+SP2 comes out. Do you (ladies and) gentlemen anticipate any problems with those two to co-exist? And second question, would you advise then to wait those two weeks and install Radar Contact on the top of SP2 or the order of the installation should not matter? Thanks a lot for feedback! I've just had to re-install FS2004 after a problem and this also involved re-installing RC v4.3.While rebuilding the scenery DB I noticed two things:- 1. After the initial build-up of number of airports & runways the figures remained static, while going through the Ultimate Terrain and FS Global files,at 23760 airports and 53329 runways. Then, when it got to the AFCAD files the number of runways increased far more than the number of airports ending at 23897 and 56942.2. The number of airports is significantly less than the 26,700 I had when running this previously.Are these observations anything unusual?ThanksIain Smith

If you want to hear RC4 ATC out of your head set and FS9 out of your sound card it can be done. Wasn't sure if RCV4 was the problem or not but I'm starting to think it is since it's happened now 3 times in a row, once from KSFO, twice now from KSEA. While descending when I get my clearance to 12,000 when I'm within 70nm's from PHX, when I then press 2 to check the weather, instant crash. Screen goes black, RCV4 still runs, FS9 crashes. It only does it if I check the weather, one time from PDX I didn't check, no problemo. Doesn't happen at any other airports.

I am running Radar Contact under FS2004. I have version 4.3. I also have ActiveSky, v.6 running too & I have unchecked Voice ATIS & checked Disable Text Messages under Options. I set up a flight & when I went to get a weather briefing I get two (?conflicting) voice briefings for the same airport of origin. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Despite best efforts via manual and forums I cannot quite understand the use of the wx button in the main RC Screen. I am running ASX also so would you use this button to point RC at where the ASX 'snapshot' files are stored?

I have RC V4, but, I cannot use it with. Maddog 2006 is probablythe most advanced virtual plane, but it does not use FP pln. May I have any suggestion for use this plane with yourRC? G'day,I was just wondering of there are any plans to introduce a form of uncontrolled airspace in a future version of RC. I do most of my flying in Australia and outside the major cities, the class E airspace floor is 8,500 if in radar coverage, or 12,500 outside. Because of this ATC will never clear you for approaches to these airports, but simply give you a clearence to leave on descent, as well as information on any IFR and known VFR traffic. The rest is left up to the crew to do.I know it's possible to select the departure or destination as uncontrolled, but the center controller just takes over the ATC duties, so the system is not completely accurate when operating …

Hi jd,After weeks of problem free behaviour with Radar Contact my last two flights have led to menu locks and no voices.Flight 1 was almost complete(LEMD-EGKK} using PMDNG737 when I noticed after hand off to approach I received initial clearance to descend then nothing more although FS9was still running on.Despite my trying to provoke a response nothing came back .I terminated RC4.3 and was told of some sort of FSCUIPC failure ending with Run Time error 6.Todays flight started as normal clearance to climb to 15000ft was ok and then silence (EGLL-LIRF) I was over France and still no further advice.I terminated RC ,and received an error message quoting winwood error .My o/s…

Why does ATC Only on occasion along my route, keep telling me to maintain my assigned altitude when I can clearly see that by pressing the shift/Z I am at that altitude. I fly in Real Weather so that can give problems with sudden wind shifts in speed and direction but that is easily overcome simply by pressing the "B" key. This flight was in Great Britain flying from London-Gatwick to Glasgow (Scotland). Only an hour trip in my default FSX 737-800.What should the FSX setting be? Because I am flying in Europe, do I need to make sure that is in Hybrid (Feet, Millibars) as opposed to US (feet, inches)?
