Let me explain, last night I was flying to KSEA from KGEG in the MJC Dash 8 -300.As I was coming into the Seattle area the controller said the following, Cntrl: "Descend to 10000 feet, start down now please I need you level in 30 miles or less"CP: "Roger, descend to 10000 feet start down now"Cntrl: "Sir you've busted your altitude, watch it now your assigned altitude is 10000 feet."What the...? This ain't a fighter jet, it takes time to get down, heck I hit VS and trimmed the nose down pretty smartish, but Cripes mate.Then a little later we repeated this with an 8000 feet clearance, only this time I was descending at 1500 fpm when the controller hit me with "Sir, you've b…

I have tested a few things in the first tutorial and as mentioned before RC is contacting ground before I request push. Last night I loaded again and chosse a female copilot to besure I had the comms. If you look a t the fisrt tutorial it shows the first screen to have a choice of wx or clr. I choose wx then clr. My next screen however does not have a pus choice only ground which rc contacts as soon as I ack the clr.

Anyone using anything like FSCrew for announcements like "Fasten your seatbelts" and the like.If so do they interfere with RC.

Flying into KSNA yesterday I was vectored to 19R but after hitting the approach button on the AP the bug did not come alive, passed the airport and had to turn back. Don't believe that this is a RC issue but rather FSX. So, does the ILS freq go into NAV1 or NAV2, I can't seem to get it right and I know I have done this before.Thanks

Hi guys!I just flew a short hop from EGLL to EIDW.When requesting Altimiter check, I instead got the qnh?Is this a standard that differs from the US?Cause when given for instance qnh 1010 I change it on the gauge to the right in the default 737 800.But still it does not change on the MIP?I maintained the correct alt all through and had no probs at all.I got an "exellent flight" =)regardsWilliam

I searched the forum and found some references but no solutions. I installed this addon scenery.....went to make a flight, and RC had no info on this airport. Have been using RC4 for years so know how to rebuild database.Tried renaming AFCAD and even deleting scenery completely, then rebuiding database with no change. EBLG is a FS9 airport, but looking through the RC4 files, I see no reference to it.If there is no way for RC to add it automatically, is there a way for me to add it manually?RickAfter further investigation, I find references to the EBLG airport in the r4.csv, m4.csv, f4.csv files, but not the a4.csv file!

JD and/or Rick,I want to bring your attention to a good discussion over in the PMDG forum regarding the old issue of 747's and other Heavies and the associated speed restriction of not more than 250kts/<10Kft. I think you'll find it informative and I hope that in RC v5, or better yet a v4.3 adjustment, we can have the option to request the "no speed restriction" during clearance in all parts of the world. Hi all,Haven't posted here in a while so I thought I'd stop by and see what's going on with v5. Any news worth sharing on the progress? Expected features? Timeline predictions?v4.3 still works like a champ and still use it with both FS9 and FSX, several times a week. I am really looking foward to more unexpected ATC events, voices, etc, in v5.Hope you can share (tease) us a little with some v5 news...:)

1. Having flown the first scenario three times and have experienced only one bug that I am aware of I have this question. I was put in a weather hold going into ORD but not in a race track hold I was just vectored away from the airport to Michigan. After 40 minutes of listening to chatter I requested landing at KIND, how long do these normally last or was I just put in limbo.2. At departure the sim is requesting taxi without intervention from me, it goes from ATIS to Clearance (my request) but then contaxts ground for taxi as soon as I request push back. Any ideas??Thanks

Hi radar contact team once again I would to say that is a wonderful program. but I have a problem in approch phase, you know that the LOC of ILS become alive below 27 nm from the airport, but my radar contact give me the authorization for intercept the ils at 30nm from the airport, this things create to me a very big problem because at 30nm the loc is not alive and when became I'm over the line of the LOC and I'm doing a manual turn to the right (after the LOC become alive) for intercept the LOC excuse for my bad english. but this is problem i hope you can help me thanks dani

Hi JD/Ronzie and my fellow simmers! =)When do I "Start RC"?Cause a few times I have started it before pressing "Fly now" in FSX and this has resulted in RC not working once Im in the aircraft at the gate.But then again if I am in the aircraft at the gate and minimize the screen to start RC(after loading the FP in to the gps)when I go back to full screen there is an annoying gap in the top part of the cockpit above the window so I see the outside. Is there a way to get rid of this bug?RegardsLiam

I have just recently purchased RC and have a couple of questions. I did a search on the forum but without luck so forgive me if they were already addressed.1. I do not fly any of the default MS aircraft (only PMDG, Level 1, flight1 etc.). On my first tutorial I used the default MS 737 only because my PMDG 737 was having issues, and the tutorial flight was flawless. I tried the same tutorial again but this time with my "re-installed" PMDG 737. All was well but when I switched the controls over to the co-pilot, he wouldn't or couldn't change directions. I had my heading and speed selected and well as AP engaged. Each time a heading change would come from RC I would wait and…

hi radar contact team my name is daniele and i have a problem whit turin airport i have the lago sim scenary for this airport and when i'm fly to turin the vectoring doing always a FL over the G/S for exatly 8000 ft for this reason i capture the LOC but not the G/S whit fs9 default atc the FL for this approch was 4000ft now there is a fix for that? i hope so (i'm doing the rebuilt scenary after install lago turin)tanks dani

I am on the first scenario and do not hear any chatter, is that normal. Do I need to check "recorded chatter" as well?

Making a flight from EBBR (Brussels) to EDDF (Frankfurt) flying the default 737.Always run into this issue.I get the resume own navigation then I get smacked for drifting off course. I cant' do the dir CKPT trick here coz there is only 1 ckpt to choose from so I just fly the heading they tell me too.All good but then I reach frankfurt, I'm still at FL250 which was my set altitude in the flightplan, but I don't get instructions to go down until I'm almost right above the EDDF airport.I then get told to go down to 11K feet and reduce to 250, need to be down in 30 miles or less.As soon as I say yes, 2 secs later I already get told that I missed my crossing restriction and I…

Just fired this up and am loading scenario 1. When testing the call sign I am getting a Run Time 75 error "RadarContact.rcv4module.atc_ack. Further if I ignore, have to restart because clicking OK kills rc4,and do not test when I go into FSX I get another error. When attempting to get wx or clearance I get Run Time 75 RadarContact.fsuipc.rc4code.When trying to start as administrator I get the mscomctl.ocx error which I have tried to fix by downloading it and loading into system as well as system32. Any ideas amongst the rc brains out there.Many thanks.

Hi!:)I have a small problem (but still a bit annoying) when i file my flightplan(i use FSBUILD) and export it to Rc4, change my flightlevel in radarcontact to lets say. FL300(flight between ESSA-ESGG) since the flight is westbound in sweden it should be a even flightlevel, but as i takeoff the atc tells me to climb to flightlevel like FL290 or 310...anyway i can change that?(if i request a higher or lower its only possible to choose odd flightlevels)And the second question, i read on the FAQs on the RC4 homepage how to change the frequencies for different airports, but how do i change for example Sweden Control(the "country controller")Thank you very much for your help b…

Hiya all,Noticed last night that flybe aircraft are addressed as Jersey rather than flybe and also that Flybe doesnt appear in the list of Airlines. Is it possible to add this or is there a reason why they're called Jersey? They are a major european carrier after all!Regards,Rory

Hi All,The latest documentation provided by Radar Contact is 4.0.It mentions Adventure Display - which in FSX does not exist.Basically, without whining about how disgraceful I think it is that there is no up to date documentation, I would like simply to:......run RC on a client PC......have the resizable RC dialogue panel on the client monitor,......and possibly....use the client PC's keyboard to input data/numbers etc.Can someone please direct me to a tutorial which explains how to do this.All the tutorials I can find only relate to FS9....this is useless for FSX as FSX uses Simconnect - a different fish entirely.Active Sky and Flight Sim commander both provide excellent…
