Hy Simflyers.If i reload a RC saved Flight with the PMDG 747 in FSX SP2, i cant use the Gauges which i select with the Shift+1....9 keys.This Gauges appear for a second wholy black, than nothing happens any time i press the shift+...keys.I saved and reloaded a flight without RC,but with the 747 PMDG Aircraft, all keys are ok.I saved and reloaded a Flight with RC and standard Aircraft, all keys are ok.I dont know is it a RC or a PMDG problem,but together they wont go.This only happens when i reload a flight.Any solutions?I Post this Thread also in the PMDG Forum.thankshowy1PS: Win XP SP2

I just reinstalled RC4 and the links in the release notes for the 4.0 to 4.1 patch and 4.1 to 4.2 patch aren't working. The 4.2 to 4.3 is fine. Any chance you can get them up an running? Thanks.

Hi,I am running rcv4 on a (german) vista system. Flying with a default plane on fsx I get the message: Runtime Error "75" RadarContact.fsuipc.rc4code after a while. I have checked the .flt/.wx path and made sure that I have administrator rights because I have switched off the user rights.I tried the same flight with the debugging option. After a while I get the message: runtime error "52" filename or -number wrong. At least I have the log file.What am I doing wrong? Is there some setting I have to make in addition to the path of the .flt/.wx files and running the system with administrator rights?I appreciate any help because I think rcv4 ist a great program and I would r…

In the real world certain SIDS and STARS can carry out for hundreds of miles. With V4, SIDS aren't really a problem because you can choose between altitude restrictions or no restrictions. With STARS, however, you can't choose that. It seems like every time I fly a STAR in V4, RC gives me my initial descent clearance after the FMS's computed TOD. The manual says you can request a descent at PD but I never see that option when approaching my TOD during a flight. Is V5 going to be more flexible with the flight setup for programming these kinds of parameters?

Hi There,I installed radar contact after a fully install of WIndows Vista Home Premium 32bit. I also installed fsuipc 3.75.When I in fs2004 create a flightplan and load this plan up in RC, everything goes well. Then I press the "Start RC" button, the RC display shows up in FS. After a few seconds the error message shows up: Runtime Error "75" RadarContact.fsuipc.rc4code, then RC quits. I've noticed that RC will sometimes vector you to final by default, and other times will not. What is the criteria for this decision? I just completed a flight where the visibility and ceiling at my destination were close to minimums, no chance of a visual approach. Yet for some reason that I can't figure out, RC4.3 didn't vector me to final as I expected it would. I ended up having to tell it to give me the full ILS. Why does it sometimes vector me onto the ILS on it's own (as real world ATC would) and other times I have to specifically request that RC4 give me an approach (and when I do that it says "cleared full ILS" and then terminates radar services. Hi all,I've read through the requirements and I do not use any flight planners, infact I get real world routes from either here at Avsim or from flightaware.com My question is in RC do I have the ability to manually enter my routes? I wonder about this because I find "real world" routes to be the most realistic (obviously) and have not found a flight planner that I like and I'm not willing to buy a flight planner, so what are my options? I also use vRoute a lot too, but I don't think it is compatible.Thanks,Jeff

Hi,I have just re-installed RCv4 onto my PC and cannot run it due to the Run-time error "75" Path/File access error. This error occurs when I use Controller Info facility in RCv4. RCv4 worked OK previously on my WideFS PC, but recently I had a few problems running Gound Environment Pro/ActiveSky with WideClient. After many days without success I completely re-installed GEPro/ActivSky and RCv4. NOW ONLY RCv4 DOES NOT RUN ON WIDEFS !!!!I have looked for similar problems posted previously on here but to no avail. More amateur questions... and I think I did a pretty good job of RTFM...The only way I can get the voices to preview in the RC voices menu is to open RC as "administrator". Whether I open it as administrator or not, when I get into FS the RC display font is RED and the keys (1,2,3 etc.) don't work. I haven't messed with the key assignments and they do not appear to conflict with any FS key assignments that I know of.Any suggestions?

Good morning gentlemenCan you tell me if RC is compatible with Leonardo's MD80. The MD80's FMC cannot import flightplans from FSX at the moment, and the plans from the FMC seem to be saved in an "mdr" format read from the Maddog routes folder.Unfortunately at this time, I cannot get ATC when using the Maddog other than "flight following".I will be purchasing RC in the future but I think I'll wait for version 5.many thanksLaurie

Hey John. What ever happened to the sticky that had downloads for additional pilot and controller voice sets. I did a search but couldn't find them. Is V5 going to have a more diverse set of pilots and controllers for different geographic regions? Thank you.

Hi Folks,I discovered that RC4 has a default WX Freq of 118.00 every time it does not find the airport WX freq in the f4.csv file I guess.Now, every time I am within the right distance to the arrival airport and otto goes to check the weather and does not find the right freq, it uses this default and my FS9.1 crashes with the error message about the atc.dll I just tried to find the 118.00 freq in the f4.csv file without success! So, why doesnt know RC4 the right weather atc freq of all the airports which have one???And what to do about these crashes? Hi there chapsJust bought RC4 recently, and was just wondering about another thing (thanks for your answers in the previous post also, by the way):Is there any way of choosing to enter a hold? I know approaching Heathrow they have specific hold locations like LAM VOR etc. I don't imagine RC4 knows this or would put you into a hold there, so is there any way of choosing to be held?Thanks very much for any answers.Kind regards,Rudy Fidao

I have been flying using the default FS ATC for ages and didn't realise what I was missing.I think I may have found a bug for you to look at.I departed Berlin Tempelhof normally and was on the SID part towards the first waypoint, when I lost an engine.I declared an emergency and was asked if I wanted to return to Tempelhof, which I declined (because of the short runway). RC then searched and elected to return me to Tegel which was good.At the time I was at 11,000ft 8 miles South West of Tegel. RC turned me onto a base leg and instructed me to descend to 8000ft which I started doing. Shortly afterwards I was then instructed to turn t…

I have made a couple of flights with RC4.3 to Casablanca GMMN. It seems that RC assigns me a runway and then vectors me so that I approach it from the wrong direction. For example last time I was assigned rwy 17R and RC listed in its window <17R> 348. And indeed I was vectores so I approached the rwy at heading 348 from the south(instead of 170 from the north as I would expect) i.e towards rwy 35. What could this be?

I have v4. Use it w/default boeings. After takeoff depature gives me a heading which does not allow me to join the airway. The heading given keeps the aircraft to the left of the proper course to join the airway and thus the approach and landing are not accurate unless I override and get scolded by controller.What am I doing wrong?? Otherwise love the progtam.Frank

Hi All.I have switched off ATC talk and text in the main fsx settings.But I use RC on a networked PC and have the sound through the headset attached to that pc.The main sound comes through the speakers via my server's pc's sound card.But, I still get a load of ATC chat coming through from my main fsx pc through the speakers.There seems a lot more relevant chat as well !!How can I switch off fsx ATC...I would have thought that RC would do this automatically - it would certainly save on CPU resources !! ??

Hi there again, and thanks again for your previous help.I was wondering why when I am taxying, does the radar contact control box keep popping up even although I've press the close cross? Is there any way to stop this? Also, is there any way to tune out of the frequency or stop oneself from hearing the other aircraft chatting on the frequency? HI,about to purchase RC4.3, but have a question; I looked all over the documentation and elsewhere but no luck so I want to ask here; is the RC4 dialog window (or how the ATC interaction window is called) visible/functional when running flightsim fullscreen? Or I have to run FS9/FSX windowed in order to be able to communicate with ATC?Thanks for info, Dave

HiIs it possible in the next version to include a high speed approach request below 10000ft for Europe?Also is it possible that when being advised to descend you are normally asked to be level at 11 or 12 thousand feet within 30 miles to be able to request a lower altitude as I fly mostly with an FMC and sometimes the FMC altitude is lower that what RC assigns you?Many Thanks Jason

Elsewhere in this Forum was a post and answer regarding the addition of "new" callsigns.I carried out the necessary edit to the data file and now receive the message"Run-time error '62':RadarContact.rcv4module.read_callsigns"What I was trying to achieve was adding my VA "Fly UK VA" to the database. Callsign "Skyways"What I added to the data file was........"SKYWAYS,SKYWAYS,FLY UK VA,0, 0"I did note in the data file that there was an extra comma and I have tried both the above text and then the same text but with the extra comma . File saved before exit but both give the Run-time error message.Any ideas, please.

The Eaglesoft CJ1 works great in FSX until I try to use Radar Contact 4. RC4 comes up and seems to work ok, but when I select any icon on the 2d panel, I get a lockup. I can run RC4 with the default aircraft without any problems.I'm starting with the default Cessna 172 with the 2d panel. I always cycle through the views in the proper order. The CJ1 is the only payware aircraft I have on FSX and all the scenery is default. The only changes to the .cfg file are for the controls - CH Throttle Quad, pedals, and yoke.I must be getting a conflict between RC4 and the CJ1 - any suggestions on how to figure this out?I am running FSX with SP1.
