Apologies if this has been asked before but is there any way of providing an application that will allow a user to record his own "Pilot" WAV files so you just press a button to "record" and speak, and then the program will filter the WAV to make it sound like "radio" and save it with the correct name ?Failing that, is there already a long-hand way of doing this ?

Dusting off my FS2004 and bought FSX, is there an upgrade path from RC 4 to 4.3 to use with FSX???

At arrival airport, I landed and saw other planes taxing into position and landing aircraft and airborne planes after takeoff, I was cleared on the left runway all this other activity happened on the right, I was cleared to land and then boom not other transmission while other activity happened why is there not 100% interaction with AI INTERACTION selected in the options RC 4 menu.Why is this so weird and complicated, my takeoff was fine planes took off and i heard them all. Im really getting annoyed that most of my flights have some sort of problem. ANyone have this happen, my AI will not depart all traffic freezes at the airport even after im landed, tower is speechless no activity at all. I had about 12 planes lined up waiting for takeoff instructions, no one ws moving it wasn't even rush hour therefore it was just an accumulation of planes to depart. It happened at EDDF but i clicked refresh ai and problem solved due to change of winds, then it worked, now i was landing so there was no way i wanted to click refresh ai and have the runway change on me when im on short final. so I landed but all planes ceased activity. I was flying and when approaching the controller said i will be in a hold due to traffic and weather, i was told to fly 100 on the heading and that was it i circled one of the vor points which was the last on my plan, and still nothing no further clearence nor any communication prompt about delay vectors or flying the holding pattern, so i went back to my 100 hdg and kept flying still nothing, he also didn't tell me off for going off course, and im sure i was about 30 minutes later, however he didn't like me changing altitude.May I know what i may have done wrong?Thanks!

Some friends and I sometimes fly on an online server together, not on VATSIM, but just a generic online server so we can fly together.Is it at all possible to use RC for this? I wasn't sure if it would work online, but don't see why it wouldn't, as there is no ATC on our server and just wanted to use it for this purpose.

Hi Everyone,Well, I was finally able to get Radar Contact running without locking up FS2004 in full screen mode while trying to use two monitors.The end result may seem a bit extreme, but I wanted Radar Contact. My solution, WideFS and AdvDisp/ShowText. When I fly from KAUS to KMSY the charts show to cross AWDAD at 11K RC only will let be decend to 12K or 13K crossing this. Is this the correct crossing for this?

The text is often slow to catch up with the speech. Especially when waiting for an acknowledgement. Thanx.

hi just reinstalled rc4, got a new key and pasted into the registration box marked key, after a short while this box goes away, i launch rc4 but this registration box keeps coming up but still cant run rc4 no error messages appear. any help please jim

Hi,4.I just downloaded, activated, and tried RCV4.3 Is there any way to change the colors and font size of what the manual alls the "adventure" wondow? Right now, even if I undock it and put it on the second LCD, there is not enough contrast for me to see what it says.I could best use yellow on black in a large non-serif font. I have started listening to the manual but at 300 pages, that's three weeks of listening. I couldn't find anything yet about changing colors.I realize this second request is a long shot, but is there any way to make the input screens black and white instead of black on grey? Hi,I have notice that holdings are managed by vectoring the aircraft in a squared pattern.I don't know if this happens in real life too - I think so - but usually holdings are issued around a defined fix in format similar to this: "Speedbird 123 hold at xyz fix/vor, as filed or how many degrees, R or L turn, how many minutes leg time or how many Nm per leg, expect further clearence at...".Since holdings are 99% issued around a VOR near the STAR, would it be possible to add this feature in the next release? Hi,new to the forum. I'm learning this new wonderful add-on and I have some questions.I've just made a short leg between EDDM and LIPZ with Alt. RESTRICTIONS "on" in order to be free to fly both SID and STAR. To enter the STAR at LIPZ you have to be at 5000 Ft. at VIC so I have instructed my FMC, but, arriving at the waypoint before VIC, I was ordered to descent to FL120 "when ready". That was OK but I needed to be lower in order to comply with the constraint. My question is: shouldn't the ATC let me free to fly the STAR as I want? VIC is at 29,1 Miles from LIPZ therefore within the limits.Another issue is that although I asked for vectors to final, ATC gave me lots of he…

Is there some way of lowering the volume on the pre recorded ATC chatter? Its a bit loud and I can't hear other audio such as the pushback feature in the PMDG 747.Lee

It seemed at a slower speech speed not that many transmissions get through UNLESS the other planes were on another frequency, and i'm totally wrong. I had alot of aircraft over EDDF and approach and then ground hardly spoke to that many AI during rush hour? So just curious about this?and2. Is their no chatter (pre recorded) in this part of the world (at EDDF), was the UK version of Radar contact created for this reason and to have a different vocabulary too vs USA and FAA regulations? What an incredible combination..... 2 PCs, RCv4, the IGS 13 at Kai Tak, FSCommander, WideFS and the PMDG 744. Simply fantastic!I would however, like to pick the brains of any other users of 9Dragons Kai Tak & Radar Contact.......I've worked out that i need to use 'Notams' and make sure the MSA is set to 4500ft, but how can I keep the flight 'ATC live', and not be vectored through the mountain?Sorry if there's an obvious answer staring at me from the manual, but my head ain't working too good just now.Any other tips for using RC at Kai Tak would also be most welcome.Thanks

I know there have been posts about pre-rec. chatter but I couldn't find a reference to this question:On my RC4/FS9 setup running pre-rec chatter seems to have less variation than previous versions (e.g. SFO area had unique SFO-appropriate ground, C-D, tower, approach chatter which now does not play on RC4.) Was this an intentional change or did some of my winwood files not load properly?Thanks for any help,Joe

I installed RCV4 on this laptop used as client PC.I requested a new key for product id 2129792102 but with an e-mail address not matching (I think) the original e-mail used in November.I didn't get an answer but I am maybe to much in a hurry as I said. My fault, but I just assumed (yes, I know) that RC4 would use my airlines.cfg for it's airline callsigns. Now I find out that all my custom VA voicepacks and many real world airlines don't exist in RC4. LOL! My very first RC4 flight doesn't exist...Capital Cargo :-mad I think the list of airlines should be posted prominently at the website...and the fact that ONLY those listed will work in RC4...no custom, no VA...only those listed. At least a facility to add them (like voicepack) would ameliorate this...we could add our own and post for others to use. Completely my fault for making assumptions.
