I would really appreciate a walkthrough as to how to save and reload RC flights. I just can't get them to work properly.I am using RC on a client PC via WideFS if that is making a difference ?

For some reason RC does not recognize the Flightscenery Portland airport. When I load a fp to or from KPDX there is no info on the Controller Info page. Even if I try KPDX as an alternet, RC doesn't seem to find it, I get no radio info. I've rebuilt the scenery but even that didn't help.An ideas on what the problem may be?Dave F.

I got into a loop where ATC kept telling me to fly a particular heading - I was....how does it base it's decision as to whether you are flying the correct heading ? I assume it is the actual heading after one corrects for wind that is relevant ? So if I fly 90 degrees on the heading bug with a 180 degree 30 knot wind I actually fly around 70 degrees heading...so if ATC want me to fly 70 degrees would this be accepted by them ? so why do they keep badgering me when my actual ground track is the heading they gave me ?thnx

i cannot close the fsuipc display window on my networked rc4 ive tried to change the assignment but it wont closeif i try to close it manually with the mouse it just opens again automaticallycan you helpthankskavan

I know this must be something i'm doing wrong here, and i've looked at Ray's fix for 'Big Al', but i just can't get RCv4.3 to install on my client PC. Even though i point RC to my FS install, i keep getting an error about RC can't find the FS registry entry.Now, i know all my shareing protocols are correct, as i can happily use WideFS to run FSCommander with FS9 & FSX and, if i'm not completely off the mark, FSC must access the same files as RC?I know it DOES work, 'cos i've done before.Any ideas please?

I have just installed RCv4.3 on my XP system, and when I began the process of building the database, I get an initial window asking if my system is wideFS. Of course I don't have widefs and click "no". Upon selecting "no", I get another window asking for the file path of FS9. I had to manually input the correct file path in order for RC4 to build the database. Upon adding UT-USA/Europe and one add-on airport, I had to go through the same process of manually inputting the correct file path, which I think just adds too many steps to rebuild the database for any add-on. I didn't have this issue with the previous version. Is this typical for v 4.3?Thanks,

Apologies if this has been asked a million times before. Does Radar Contact do anything for managing the separation of AI aircraft on approach, and hence avoiding as many go-arounds as possible? Certainly I understand it helps in relation to separation between the user aircraft and AI, but what about between one AI and another. Does it do anything along the lines of AISmooth? Not necessarily solving the problem in the same way, but simply improving the inbound AI aircraft activity?Many thanksSimon

that is an interesting observation. i had a beta tester that was suffering CTD with the same symptoms. let me see if your observations fit his.you can certainly overide all the frequencies, by going to the controllers page, and change the atis frequenciesjd

Hi folks!Here's what I mean... I've noticed a couple of times that I would make a request (for new altitude) to a controller, and rather than answering that request, the current controller passes me on to the next control... I contact that new controller who acknowledges me, followed by "climb and maintain... " the altitude I requested the first guy... Is this normal behavior?thank you,realm174

Hi,Does Radar Contact not give directions on how to Taxi to the Runway assigned? I mean FSX ATC informs me that I should take root A AB B B1 etc until I reach the runway. Does Radar Contact not do this or am I missing something? BFC

Just curious if there is a threshold wind under which RC4 won't bother to assign the upwind runway?I've noticed on the last few flights that I've been given a landing runway that was not the 'obvious' choice given the winds. The most significant of which was one with almost a 12kt tailwind when the opposite runway would have been the obvious choice. Same thing happens sometimes with takeoffs.Is this a limitation of RC and it's interaction with the weather, or is it basing it's runway choices off the AFCAD file (perhaps the afcad file has some constraint in it causing RC to assign me less than optimal runways?) I've noticed this happening at many different airports.

Looking at getting Radar Contact so I took a look at the manual and have a flight planning type of question.Does RC support in-flight modification to an IAP ? For example, I am nearing the New York area from the west using the planned STAR KINGSTON EIGHT for landing at KJFK from the west (e.g., rwy 13L or 13R). While on route, the active rwys become 31R and 31L and now I would like to use the PAWLING TWO arrival for an approach from the east side of KJFK. I can change the STAR and the Approach using the aircraft's FMC (PMDG 747-400X). Will RC support this change ? I'm sorry JD for posting this in your forum since its a little off topic but I've done quite a bit of searching through other forums and have had little success getting a straight answer. If you want to delete it I won't be offended. Being that RC has a big user base and beta team with a wide range of hardware, I thought I'd give it a try here. I was just wondering if anyone has tried using a physics card with FS9 or FSX even though they're not programmed to use the Ageia physics engine. I've seen mixed feelings on whether or not they're worth it for non-supported games. Has anyone used one with Flight Sim and noticed any improvements regardless? Thanks.

Hi have a few questions regarding Radar Contact 4.First of all, I feel the Chatter volume is much higher than the other sounds; where are the Chatter .WAV's located so I can edit the volume.I also do not here the AI traffic sounds. I have the AI Sounds option enabled in the program. Is this because I set the squawk code until I am in the air?

I will be using RC4 in both FSX and FS9. When I received my key, I registered in the FSX instance. When I tried to register in the FSp instance, the key does not work. Do I need a key for each??:-zhelp

I plan to buy RC in about a month but after browsing the forums I realized that version 5 is in the works. Is there an expected time frame for the v5 release? And if I purchase v4.3 now, will my license carry over to v5?Victor

Great program..... have used in now on all my flights and slowly getting better. Never had any performance issues until last night.flight from panc to vhhx all smooth and about hour and half into flight when suddenly rc and fsuip disconnected......never had that happen before. have the latest copy of fsuip and rc4.3... using 744 paywareAny ideas?? if it happens can anything be done? Hello JD, when I fly into 9Dragons Kai Tak and get 50 miles out and request weather I only get general in flight weather not local ATIS and assigned runway. Hi I am thinking of purchasing rc4.3 fsx to run in win xp and later on in window vista.I will only use it for fsx with pmdg 400x.My question is does the rc4.3 have a setup exe that will install it with minimum fuss or will I need to follow the guidelines in the links?I would prefer the minimum stress installation with the auto installer.looking forward to your comments to help me spend my dosh!!!Qas

I am thinking of getting RC4 on several recommendations.Firstly, is there a comprehensive number of callsigns and airport names included in RC4?
