I have the amazing ATN gauge V1.2 (atngau12_148688.zip) by Etienne Martin added to my FSX on my Windows 10 system, with all installation instructions having been followed, including placing the important MSVCR71.dll file in the Windows>System32 folder that the gauge needs to run properly as well as the gauge file itself in the FSX > Gauges default folder. This gauge is also installed on my Windows 7 PC on FSX, where it works absolutely fine, but since switching to Windows 10, the gauge doesn't show up at all. I've tried to copy paste the exact gauge coordinates in the panel.cfg folder of my FSX aircraft from Windows 7 to Windows 10, and still the gauge refuses …

Hello. Is there anyone who is successfully using FsRaas20 (fsraas20.zip) with FSX and Windows 11? I am helping someone migrate to a new Windows 11 computer and am having trouble getting this to work. Whenever it starts to play one of the audio files the sim crashes. I know this was an issue for some many years ago (long before Windows 11) and I think it might have something to do with DirectSound (DirectX), but I'm not sure. I have reached out to the author but have not received a response. So, I'm turning to the community. Thank you!

Hi, I've been a happy user of FSX:SE for a while now and I use a TM T flight HOTAS. However suddenly came across an issue where when I'm in pre-flight, my HOTAS and keyboard decide to stop working after a few minutes. I've looked over old forums regarding my same annoying issue but all of them had no answers. I've tried stuff like verifying file integrity in Steam, running SCF, doing a fresh reinstall and even things as simple as pressing Control+K but all of them didn't solve the problem. I do notice one thing, my keyboard has a Caps Lock light and usually when I press Caps lock (outside of FSX) my Caps Lock light stays on until I press it again. In FSX the Caps Loc…

ISO a method that involves editing the files myself vs. using airport elevation correction tool. I see most forum responses involve recommending the ACT from ORBX or GlobalFS, both of those come with heavy price tags, but I assume because they have an ease of use. One day when I buy a new computer, trust me, I am going to buy all the top dog meshes and tools, and have a giant terrabyte hardrive, but is there a method, no matter how tedious that works? First time posting here. Decades of experience with FSX (although I took a break and tried hard to love MSFS2020...too many things regressed instead of progressed there...) Back to FSX! Just bought ORBX sceneries (Base Pack, PNW, and a couple of airports) after trying lots of stuff to make FSX more real and enjoyable. I read LOTS of posts on LOTS of forums. Hi everyone, All of a sudden all my aircraft addons do not show up un the select aircraft menu. The Level D B767, the Pilatus 12 by Flight1, various bush planes are just a few examples. I have no idea why this happening, unless something outside FSX is causing it. I have noticed that lately when starting my pc, a warning appears -file not synced...Could this be related? Misgav

Went to run FSX after a fairly long absence and presented with this message when trying to run the game: https://ibb.co/jybnTs4] Not physically changed anything with the install since last running the game, other than any official Steam updates. I initally verified file integrity through Steam, no change then did a complete uninstall (including deletion of all subsidiary folders) followed by reinstall but getting the same result. Any guidance on fixing this greatly appreciated.

Pretty much topic. I want to be notified of the VAS amount visually only. I searched and see no way to turn off ONLY the audible ding. Is it not possible?

Hi, I am posting because I am having a problem that I never had before. When I go to select the type of Aircraft i.e Project Airbus, Project Opensky. Those manufacturing companies dont show as selecting aircraft in the aircraft menu so I cannot use them. I am concerned because I spend alot of time adding the plane and spend countless hours putting textures sounds on the aircraft and would be nice to see it in the airaft menu. Anybody else have this problem?? Let me know if you have and what I may do to fix this. That you much. Lee

Hello, All. I am helping someone migrate FSX to a new Win11 computer and am having trouble with scenery that has been added. When I move the Scenery folder as well as the scenery.cfg file, the added scenery is not recognized. On top of that, when I add scenery manually within the tools of the sim, the data is in the scenery list (in the sim) but it is also not showing in the scenery.cfg file as an added area. The scenery (when manually added) does appear to be active, but I don't understand why the .cfg file doesn't show an added area. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hl For some reason, when I launch my saved flight my instrument panel on my second monitor is not saving. When I launch my saved flight my instrument panel appears on the secound monitor as the game loads, but when it loads the instrument panel disappears and I have to use shift 1 to bring up the instrument panel undock then move it to the second monitor and resize to fit the screen. Hi everyone, i've been having some issues in the past day trying to fix the integration between Flight Sim X and the PDMG Ops Centre Liveries. As you can see in the first image the purchased plane is there in the pdmg Ops centre and in the second image it still has not loaded in my Flight Sim X inventory. New windows 11 computer. FSX installed properly, but with UAC turned, on and I had forgotten about the UAC. Now my FSX icon has the dreaded blue and gold shield. I've tried to lower the UAC setting without any successful change of the icon. I think (but I'm not sure) I'm able to access the hidden FSX files in the "roaming" section, you probably know what I'm referring to. However, I've replaced the controls file with my previous saved control file but it's not taking hold and makes no changes within the game. Is that also a UAC function by any chance? What is everyone's thought on visibility. I try to use metar and use accurate weather, but I find 10 mile visibility is more like 3-5 mile visibility, and 20 mile visibility is more like 10 mile. Seems it is a little off? I just compared it to 10 mile visibilty in my city the other day and in fsx it seems way too thick by comparison.

ProcSpeed stands for Processor Speed and PerfBucket for Performance Bucket : 2 lines in the FSX.cfg. If FSX builds it's FSX.cfg for the first time those numbers are calculated. Hey guys so with Active sky 16, or any weathr addon like fsrealwx or even if i did a custom or preset weather scene within fsx i get the same result. If I am flying a Helicopter i cannot turn, takeoff or land without being blocked from doing so, its like putting maxing input but what ever weather setting is set it doesnt want to turn. I have no idea how to fix this and its very confusing to explain so below is a link to a video showing whats goin on for better clarification. Also I never used to have this problem, currently using FSX + Acceleration and used on windows 7, 8, 10 and 11 and same issue. Any suggestions and help appreciated. Andre.

Hi all, I just installed FSX Steam version for the first time. The main menu is displaying super tiny, basically unreadable. I have to use the magnifier just to read it. I have a notebook computer that can easily run the sim in the max settings. I have adjusted the resolution within the sim to no effect. The sim itself appears to be working at the correct resolution when I start the first training mission. Any ideas on what might be going wrong here or how to resolve? BTW, I started this post a couple of days ago and got deleted for selecting a poor username. Sorry about that!

There`s a lovely F27 in Avsim`s library (and elsewhere). It`s from Benoit Gaurant who`s a very generous and talented creator from France. I loved his Nordatlas work in FS2004. This is V.1. It`s free and a whole lotta work went into it. It's gonna need repaints. Many of 'em. Me, I've got no concept of how he does it, but I sure do enjoy his work!! Thankyou Mr. Gaurant. There are so many big things wrong with our world. The little things like this do it for me.
