Hello! I am an Irish flight simmer and my request is for an Irish livery to be made for either the Carenado 172 II N or the default Cessna 172. As I am again, Irish, I am saddened at how little Irish C172 repaints exist, or at least, for my aircraft. There are so many aircraft to choose from that I can't decide. i installed ultimate traffic live, when i come close to any AI aircraft it appears good and clear but far AI Aircraft appears BLURY any fix please

I have found and altered many 'Contact Points' problems BUT I am getting highly frustrated with my Thomas Ruth A330's and PUSH-BACK problems! I need some serious help before I lose my hair. On all my aircraft I have the RCBGH-50 Groundhandling attached and all work great EXCEPT on the A330's. I get told this aircraft cannot be pushed back by a TUG. I have looked high and wide for anyones contact points to compare but no luck, so if anyone can share wisdom and advice I would be very grateful. Thank you Adrian (planemadnz)

Hello everyone, After installing P3d and FS9 i wanted to go back to FSX. I still have the OG FSX but decided to go for FSX:SE. A couple of questions if i may... 1) Should i go for the tweaks like the old times in OG FSX (HIGHMEMFIX,Bufferpools,AffinityMask etc etc) in FSX:SE? 2) Do i need to tweak (again like the old times) Nvidia Inspector? 3) Should i go for DX10 or not? Hello, I wanted to modify and update some airports to "modern" days with ADE. However, i cannot seem to use ADE with FSX:SE. From my understanding it is missing the SDK? Do i need to download something more? Has anyone tried ADE with FSX:SE? Or is there another software you use to modify sceneries? Help is greatly appreciated! Cheers

Hello, As i said on another post, i came back to FSX:Steam after a long long long time... As i am finishing the addons setup, i stumbled across a problem with Vatsim! Last time i was on FSX, Vatsim had Ivao_MTL. Now, from my understanding they stopped with Ivao_MTL due to conflict? So, my question is, nowdays how can i get a .vmr file to fly on Vatsim with FSX:Steam? Is there another way? Cheers, thanks for your time!

Hi guys, so booted up FSX some night ago, was going to do a short trip, realized my joystick was giving trouble again(wiring issues) therefore i had no controls and decided not to fly again since the joystick needs re wiring and soldering. So I clicked the X on the top right hand corner, the prompt came up to exit and I clicked yes. Done this many times over the pass 10 years and no issues. Based on research doing such can cause a bug or error in the logbook.bin file which leads to the sim not responding on the splash screen forever. What I did I opened the resource manager and saw nothing, I installed the logbook recovery tool, never worked, tried colleagues logbook …

Hello I've been looking at AIG AI Manager and noticed the newest version does not work for FSX. Does any one have a version where it works in FSX. I would like a copy but I can not find the older versions anywhere. Hopefully this is the correct place asking and many thanks

Hi After so many ctd's and not finding a solution, I remember reading somewhere that installing FSX not in the default location helped resolve the issue. Right now it's installed in C/program files (x86)/steam/steamaps/common/fsx. My D drive has much more space available than in C. Would that help? Would there a problem with addons- scenery and aircraft? Eytan Ornstein

Hi Folks, Almost completed my reinstall of FSX including my favourite aircraft...except the RealAir SF260. Flew it in 2004 and FSX and it was one of my favourite models. Found the defunct RealAir site and was able to download the decathalon but no installer for the SF260. Any info gratefully received Cheers Tim

RealAir Lancair Legacy. Is it just me or is the RealAir Lancair just stunning. After bemoaning the fact I couldn't reinstall my beloved RealAir SF260 the discovery of the lancair more than makes up for it. Outstanding performance, basic aerobatics (watch you don't overspeed) and looking like a modern day civilianised Spitfire. Stunning simply stunning. Cheers Tim

Hi, I am still using FSX while switching to X-Plane and I have a question/remark. Is it safe to say that Radar Contact is still one of the best ATC despite its age? New ATC software have a fancy user interface, but in terms of functionality and realism RC still seems relevant. I know that VATSIM/IVAO is great (I used them a lot in the past) but I am talking purely offline ATC. Happy flying, Olivier

Vaguely remembered having some OrbX UK scenery so hunted around some old files and found a purchase date and registration number. Went onto the OrbX site but it didn't recognise my email address so I re-registered and unsurprisingly I had nothing associated with my account. Forlornly sent an email via their support service on a Sunday and to my surprise had received a reply by lunchtime, and by the evening the said software had been accredited to my new OrbX account ready for usage. I just installed the FSX:SE and I have a problem with military jet. It turns out that when I am inside the simulator and I want to fly a military fighter (either freeware or default) the fighters lose power and the HUD does not work, it does not mark the speed or altitude. The power is completely lost, that is, it does not reach its maximum speed, what marks are few knots and you cannot even visualize the afterburner.

I noticed my topic got moved, and that is fine. But I spent 13 hours on that bad boy, anybody know what are some of the things that would prevent a configured .dds file (by overwriting using "save as"). I used gimp in the past with zero issues by using the method of creating a new layer, merging down, and then overwriting. But working with the aerosoft F16, the texture shows up black. I have tried matching the layer boundary size, and it still shows up black. Does file size mattter, I see aerosoft uses 1 mb for all of there F-16C_8_T.dds files and mine is larger? Just recovered from corrupted scenery objects and performed a reinstall of FSX Acceleration (boxed edition). The prior install ran well for 7+ years. It consisted of FSX, DX10 fixer & the SDK. A/C & A/P scnery were freeware with a couple of updated local A/P. Lost my notes on the load order So far I have a stable operating FSX with the DX10 preview functioning well on my D drive. Added some recommended fsx.cfg & nVidia tweaks without any problems. Hi there- I have alot of the World of AI flight plans installed and I have the slider in my settings all the way to the max and when I go to most airports I notice I have a "ghost" airport where there isn't any planes even at the busiest ones. Not sure why this is, and if there are some planes, I see maybe 2 or 3 but thats it even at the hub airports. Can someone tell me why this and maybe tell me how to possibly edit the AFCAD files for the Traffic files? Thank you.

I've been trying to update my AI traffic in FSX SE as I have only been using World of AI packages, which are outdated (2000s - early 2010s). Because of this, I've searched and come across AIG AI Manager, which fits what I want to do. I've already reached the point where I can open the program until the title part (not the actual UI). Unfortunately, I cannot proceed as when I want to select FSX in the drop-down menu it's empty. I tried to click the select (green) button and it just quits the program. Am I missing a step? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there- I have downloaded alot of the flight plans from WOAI. I seer alot of more recent ones for more recent years. Is there a way that one can make a traffic file that can be used for the WOAI installer? If you know how to or know someone who could possibly do it please let me know. If it's not possible is there a program that can make flight plans that is fairly easy tomake flight plans and aircraft to compile.

Are there any updated ai aircraft base models and flightplans for FSX in 2024?

I have FSX: Steam Edition. I have multiple addons and that internal game addon manager is crappy. Question: How to add those addons without game addon manager tool? I have over 30 addons to add. Also I still fly FS9 or FS2004 because it is SO good game.
