Exactly as title says, I have gotten this to work before but every single time I do this it says that it was unable to load some program files and to reinstall. I use FSX SE, so I install and run and works fine, then I simply move the other files and DO NOT overwrite anything, and then it somehow makes it unable to load, uninstalling and reinstalling without removing the non default files does not work. I am completely stumped with this, unless somehow the files themselves are corrupt from the copying process, I have no clue what would trigger this. Hi, I have just started using FSET (FS Earth Tile), along with FreemeshX Global terrain mesh scenery 2. Im finding it a great way to improve my FSX experience however I do have a problem. Anywhere i have created my own airport and with scenery created with FSET, i can see the runways, taxis, buildings etc but the landclass is not of the airport and FSET autogen covers the airport. I have tried changing the scenery priorities in FSX but to no effect. Dave

Hi everyone, I wonder if anyone can be kind to advice me where I can find an accurate AFX (AFCAD) for EGLL V3 FSX. I am looking for one with the correct parking and correct airlines assigned to the correct terminals. Unfortunately, most of my BA traffic are parked all over the place and other airlines are not using the correct terminals. many thanks

Im wondering something. I have previosly Installed AI Traffic files to my FSX in the World/scenery/scenery files and recently deleted them. When trying to re-install the flight plans again, it says that the file exists and do I want to repair. If I click yes, it says "xxxxx" couldn't be found. Any help as to where I could find the files to where they might be? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you much Lee

I have been unable to get into FSX-SE through steam or directly with FSX-SE. It had been working fine since firt installed in win11. Recently its a no go. Some how I show the Beta edition now and not sure how I got that unless out of frustration I clicked on it. Either way the previous version was not starting up. I would get the sunrise start picture but then it would disappear and no program. Multiple attempts. I did see that my fsx-se looked short of items when i checked that. I thought it re-loads on every startup??? If this could be an issue does anyone have and ideas on how to correct it? How would I get rid of the Beta version if that is a …

I downloaded FSX 2 months ago, and since the first moment i opened it, i started noticing stutters and FPS drops every like 10 seconds, even at the lowest settings. Hello there, For a couple of moths to years now, I noticed the Milky Way is completely missing. I use the Night Sky HD textures, but even when I put the original textures and stars.bat back nothing pops up. Also rebuilding the FSX.cfg didn't help. I am guessing there is an effect or object missing, but I can't find out which one. FSX itself is running without further issues or errors. Okay i've got a simulated bird strike leading to failure of my left engine. I'm still circling the airfield right now, but for some reason i've lost all hydraulic pressure and the gear won't go down. Where's the manual/alternate gear extension thing on this aircraft? CTRL + G doesn't seem to work, and i can't find anything in the manual. The landing ended up like this: Now to prevent sparkestorm next time, how do i lower the landing gear manually/without hydraulics on this plane?

Hello again, I really enjoy FSX and also its map (just by opening in the top menu during flight). I managed to choose the map by a certain controller button (yes... I use FSX in controller which is amazing, also for the family). But I would like to know: - is there any way to maximise the size of the map window? perhaps in any cfg? - can I also choose a controller button to close it again? The same buttom for opening the map does not close it. - and are there any other tweaks how the map is opening exactly (mode and so on) ? thank you again very much for your help!

Hello everybody, I am a new FSX user and am really happy with it playing in the family. I also found out how to setup the controller and (mostly!) the graphics so that it does not have small gaps. It works ok. The only thing that is a bit "always the same" are those small narrow oval clouds on the horizon which are always there... I guess FSX users know them good. First I thought those are contrails but I am not so sure. So my questions: - can I disable contrails to remain in the sky anywhere? - if those are normal clouds, is there any option to only see cumulus and cirrus in the very low and fair weather setting? thank you! Even after upgrading to a better graphics card, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 20260, and a new 450 GB SATA SSD, I get annoying stuttering and ctds. Hi! I recently bought AS2016 for FSX. And so it happened, I had to reinstall FSX. Since then, I have tried many times to run AS2016 again, and each time the same error "internet connection problem". I cannot write to technical support due to the territorial location, as the HIFI site is blocked by my provider. So while attempting to move the condition levers to 850 for cruise, I accidently moved lever #2 to "Start/Feather". I immediately moved it back, but now I have a PEC#2 caution on the C/W panel and engine #2 is maintaining an (un)healthy 1060 RPMs, which is indicated in yellow. What is the appropriate response to this? I'm currently halfway through a flight on VATSIM and I'm just continuing on to my destination, but couldn't find any QRH online to help point me in the right direction. Does anyone know how to handle this situation?

Hi I hope someone out there with Sode knowledge can help me I have just installed version 1.8.0 of Sode into P3D and i also selected the option for FSX steam addition, the install for P3D seems to have worked as i can select the required gate from the sode menu ( for example Gate 111 at UK2000 EGKK and all works normally) Something seems to have gone wrong the the FSX install as even though the initial screen let me register and activate for both sims i am getting no SODE entry on the FSX menu. Hello All, I apologize as im new to modding, but i cannot get crop-duster X to work in FSX, I'm following the steps in the installation guide but when it get to the step where you change the aicrafts payload and the fields are supposed to populate, nothing is happening, ive uninstalled and reinstalled and made sure the right folder with the contents is in the right spot, but it still doesnt want to work, I downloaded it off of simmarket so idk if that is part of the problem, but any help you guys could be able to provide would be great, Thank You!

My computer (Dell Vostro 7510) specs are: i7-11800H, RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU, 16GB memory (I know this won't matter much) and plays the game usually under 1920*1080 My problem is that when I am in the addon airports such as Flytampa VHHX, the FPS would drop to around 15 (typically around 40 without addon airports) Is there any solution to boost the FPS to at least 25?

Crop Duster X, publised a few years ago for FSX and above, is a payware module allowing any plane from your hangar to dust fields that can be created either automatically or manually, then saved. I'm new to the AVSIM forum but not new to MSFSX. I have been confused/frustrated trying to figure out how to move my downloaded addon scenery freeware folders from my desktop to the MSFSX addon scenery folder where I guess it should actually be. I have added several addon sceneries successfully through the addon scenery library and they work fine. But when I try to move these folders to the MSFSX addon folder within the program they stop working. I tried moving them and then they stop working. But I'd like to move all of these (including some airplane addons as well to where they belong. The airplane addon folders are on my desktop as well and also in the airplane …
