Hi I am using FSX SP1 and SP2, my graphic card is AMD Radeon HD6800 series with the most latest driver being in 2015 as it is an old Graphic card. However please see the photo, as you can see the text looks compacted, for example the ground speed, "GS" the font looks squashed along with the readout of the wind direction "090". I would be very grateful for any help. I thank you in advance.

Fat chance I'm going to get support for an aircraft that's turning 18 soon, but here goes... Just on a whim of nostalgia, plus general frustration of modern sims, I re-installed FSX, as well as the Wilco 737PIC. For some reason, on my first test flight, it kept "dodging" waypoints, it would turn sharp left/right right before hitting the waypoint, and then at some point it would correct itself and turn back, creating these annoying unrealistic bumps in the flight path. I'm not sure if fiddling with my flight plan while programming the FCU caused it to bug out, if I'm missing something, if an update broke it recently, or it's just known to do this?. Hello, I have gone back to using FSX (SP 1+2) on a new PC using Windows 10, my specs are as shown: Intel R Core i-5 -3450 CPU@ 3.10Ghz 3101 mhz, 4 Cores Installed Physical Memory RAM 8.00GB The issue I am having is with FSDT JFK V2, I use AES and GSX level 1, the problem is that at JFK there is overlapping jetways. Went to use P3DWX 3 days ago, got this series of events in my client 10:33: SIMCONNECT connection established 10:33: WX DATA initial download failed 10:33: Connection closed Still am encountering the same issue now. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no prevail. Anyone else having the same issue?

Hi Does anyone here use facetracknoir headtracking with fsx se. I works with the boxed version of fsx. The software launches ok and the webcam show up in the software window and the head tracking moves but it does not translate to fsx se, you get no movement in the cockpit. Cheers Rhys

From all camps, I'm so tired of the perpetual 'early access' philosophy that has unfortunately universally forced all gamers to be beta testers nowadays. How nice it has been coming back to FSX to have EZdok, Steve's DX10 Fixer, Ideal Flight 10, FSDiscover, GSX all working harmoniously with (IMO) the best aircrafts out there - the Concorde X, A2A COTS B377, CaptainSim 727, and DC-6. Honorable mention has to go to Lossless Scaling in FSX, it works wonders, even in low teen base frame rates. The newer games may be prettier but the tenure functionality of FSX and its classic plane variety wins more smiles from me.

i searched google...no mention of it...i looked through the whole manual...no mention of it...i clicked every inch of the cockpit...and i looked through the configurator 20 time...im here as a last resort out of desperation!

I have made several attempts to update Airac in Active Sky 2016 for FSX and I can't do it. Anyone else having the same problem? Joao

Man, I miss the days of copy/paste a file and placing that in the "search for" area and being taken directly to that file or being told that is no longer here. Now you place a file name in the search for area, and you get told that there are some 5000-some-odd pages you have to look through to find your file. What gives? 🤷‍♂️

I have both FSX and FSX SE installed on my computer. I only use the boxed version for its SDK. I play the other. I recently started playing again (over 500 hours since 2018). Today, I started using FSX Mission Editor 2 after spending days trying to create missions in FSX SDK. I noticed my default missions are missing. I know you want to say something like "that should have been the first thing to look for." Yeah, you may be right, but this is where I'm at. So, to get you up to speed. I thought I would be able to load up FSX on to my new computer by going into the Internet archives and downloading the disks from there ( I had already tried doing the copy and paste onto my external drive) but it was a no go. Not sure what I can do about FSX now. I don't want to use Steam.

Hello, I used to set the zoom in the 2D cockpit to 75, then look left and right, switch to spot view, and return to the 2D cockpit, and the zoom would stay at 75. Now, it keeps reverting to a zoom of 100. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Currently working on KAUS greater area from as north as Georgetown to as west as Lakeway, and connected Austin to San Marcos by including South Austin, Buda, and Kyle. Also, added East Austin (which makes Mueller airport look awesome!). All of this is finished, I am currently fleshing out landclass fixes all the way down 71 to smithville/la grange to Columbus Texas. You can now see Austin Texas VFR from the outskirts of West Houston!!! and vice versa, can see the edge of Houston from Smithville. Hi, I reinstalled FSX and EZCA v3; as title says I can't zoom with mouse wheel (active zoom), I can do it only if mouse wheel is pressed in VC and in external view. If I well remember in EZCA 2 in FSX I could use active zoom simply with mouse wheel. Any idea to solve it?

Hello everyone, I need your advice or suggestions on how to reinstall FSX on my PC. I have the three DVDs of the Golden Edition + Acceleration Pack, but unfortunately my DVD drive no longer works and cannot read the DVDs. A few years ago, I created ISO images of each DVD as a backup, and they work perfectly. However, here is the problem: when I mount the first DVD, the installation starts without issues, but at a certain point it asks me to insert the second DVD. So, I unmount the first image and mount the second one, but the installation cannot continue—it keeps asking me to insert the second DVD. Is there a way to solve this problem? I know these were FS9 repaints but since I use FSX, I thought I would pop it in here. NOTE, THIS IS FOR THE VETERANS SINCE THESE WERE OLD! It just popped into my head recently about how I used to own a Garda Air Support AS355N (Nemeth AS350 repaint) and an Irish Air Corps SA342 Gazelle. These were on Hovercontrol but ever since switching computers and the site closed, they were lost to time. Or at least, I think they were. If anyone knew who the creators were or in general, do you know if these were published on other sites other than HoverControl or not? Wouldn't it be nice to have a Reims FR.172 Rocket / 172K Hawk XP either freeware or payware? I know this is obviously a no go, but it just shocked me that only the regular 172 model existed and not its powered one. Not even a T.41 Mescalero (the rocket is the civilian version)?

Hello there, I am a young Irish aviator that is quite fascinated by the Irish aviation scene, and also helicopters specifically. I have noticed the lack of a few helipads and locations around Ireland that are in MSFS 2020 and do not exist as freeware as far as I am aware. For starters, the Irish Air Corps' Finner Camp base in Donegal does not seem to be available in FSX, neither does the town of Athlone and Custume Barracks, which is where they operate their Emergency Aeromedical Service in conjunction with the National Ambulance Service as paramedics. When choosing the thunder storm weather setting I do not hear the thunder sound either in the cockpit or outside, with engines not running. When I locate the thunder sound wave located in the sound main director and double click it, the wabe file plays loud and clear, but it does not play while running the msfs x ap. I do hear the wind noise and sometimes, the lightening strikes, but no thunder. I have adjusted the sound settings in the app turning all but the encironment slider bars to the far left, but that makes no difference. Hi! To put it short, I use a lot of Irish scenery as I am Irish and personally like Irish flying. I also have quite a few aircraft too. Only problem is, FPS is being compromised and I fear that unless I get advice for my specific PC specs, I will have to fly with minimal detail settings. Here are my specs to give you an idea. I see many guides online but I wonder whether they work for mine or not. Loading terrain data holds at 6% for about a minute before then jumping up to 69% for like 40-45 seconds, goes from 70%-83% in about 7 seconds, holds at 83% for about 25 seconds, then 92% for 20 seconds before slowly going up to 100% in 5 seconds. Worth asking, how did the Icaro AW139 not disappear after a few miles in FS9? In FSX, you can't look at it zoomed out because the model disappears. I'm using Brian Whitelegg's model to operate, which isn't as good as the ICARO, but the model on the ICARO not being visible from a few miles is annoying. I'm not sure why. Like if I zoom out in the preview, some parts disappear then if I zoom out again, it's completely missing. It's like it doesn't comply with the smallpartrejectradius in the cfg file or something.

Hello and good day Today I tried installing the HJG 707 to FSX. I’ve read the official guide on how to install it for FSX instead of FS9 (delete aircraft.cfg and instead use aircraft_fsx.cfg, etc), put it in the correct folder (this pc -> local disk -> programs (x86) -> steam -> steam apps -> common -> fsx -> simobjects -> airplanes), installed a livery and put the correct number into the XX, yet it still won’t show up. I restarted my pc and FSX but it still won’t show up. Does anyone have a idea why? Thank you

This shows the size and scale of the landclass correction, FSX barely represents Austin Tx at all, East austin was missing, and everything north of 183. Lake Travis and South Austin were also barren, making spotting KAUS in a giant grass landscape difficult during day or night.
