Hi I have a couple of Fly Tampa Airports including Athens and Corfu which I really like. I am thinking about getting Schiphol (EHAM) but am a bit worried about performance as it's such a big airport. Do any of you guys have experience using this airport with FSX kind regards Daz

hello my friends. i am a user of FSX flight simulator. I tried slew mode on my airplane while parked on gate to get to the runway at which i would depart , and after stopping slew mode , i realised that my airplane couldnot gostraight. It veered to the left . i realised that it was a callibration problem because the airplane was steering left even having the stick straight. I only use my pc keyboard and mouce. nothing else or external control device (joystick , pedals ) . why does this happen? it did not happen in the past .

Hi As a long term user of Ultimate Traffic 2 I am pretty happy with the amount of tube liners i see in the skies. I have just started doing more GA flights using the excellent A2A Cessna 182 but notice i don't get much in the way of GA traffic despite setting the sliders to max. I know there are new AI traffic products on the market but these seemed to be geared more to commercial tube liners. Can anyone recommend a way of getting more GA for my airfields? or which is be best package for me to upgrade to? kind regards Daz

The AI volume when in the virtual cockpit is unbareably loud to the point you cannot here the aircraft you are in, but it is only in the cockpit that the AI volume is too loud. Is there any way to fix this? Only turning down the engine sound in sound settings turns it down. I'd rather have no AI sound that what is going on. Hope someone can help.

Hey guys, so I recently came across an interesting issue here relating to the default GPS500. It seems that the approaches at several airports outright refuse to load. Here's and example of that: https://imgur.com/a/vazvf82 Notice how the vectors for ILS24L at CYUL is loaded, but no magenta line appears leading me to the runway. The DirectTO function works fine and so does the normal flight planning stuff. Add-ons I have are FSUIPC(free), some orbx sceneries(none of the Montreal area), freeware aircraft, and the navaids update to AIRAC cycle 1904. Any help on this is very much appreciated! I'm open to workarounds too!

Hello Sirs I bought a FSX FMC add-on for the CRJ 200 but up to now could not get it install. I then gave it over to those guys from gaming room and they work for more three weeks without any success. one guy got it into the simulator but does not work as it should or it don't work at all. you press shift 3 and it will pop up but the keys are stuck no further actions; can't initialize, nor position or flight plan. If anyone could help me with the installation to get it running I will appreciate it. Regards Kenneth

After spending way too much money on finding a business jet that actually functions as they should, I have finally found the one. It is the Xtreme Prototypes GLJ Model 25 SE. A magnificent Gates Learjet. I’ve also installed the Flight1 GTN750/650 that works perfectly with the AFCS. Having version 2.1 but so looking forward to the release of version 3.0 due for release early this year. No date set as yet. I so wish I could obtain refunds for the others.

Hi all, As with a lot of people, I am sick and tired of FSX's rubbish textures. I have recently gotten into using ADE to enhance airports, and wondered if it would be possible to improve say, airport building textures. Currently, they are 1024x1024, but would I be able to open these image files in GIMP/Photoshop/Whatever and edit them to make them higher resolution, look better, etc. Thanks, Will.

All of a sudden the "Direct to" button on the GPS no longer recognizes waypoints even thought these show up on the GPS and on my map. I can use the "Direct to" button to go to any airport but it will not see any waypoints, I enter a waypoint and click ENT but it goes back to the initial page asking me for another place to go and never get to the "activate" section. Does anyone know why and how to solve this?

Hi, I’ve recently learnt of FSCAI and how it can be used alongside CCP to create enemy combatants in FSX. I was struggling to get my head round the concept however and how to actually set up an aircraft which I could intercept and possibly dogfight with. Thanks, Bill

Hello, So I was wondering if I could get some help. I have FSDT KDFW installed and I run UTlive for my Traffic. I want to get the AIM ERJ-145 I have installed to park at the B-XX Gates, But I cannot figure out how to. I was wondering if their is a way I can change the parking Assignment for the Aircraft? I haven't see a way how to anywhere so I thought id ask. Thanks!!

I'm running the payware Taxi2Gate Mexico City XTREME scenery. It's very accurate and realistic, but I have a problem. Whenever I point the camera at Terminal 1 at the MMMX airport and TERMINAL 1 ONLY, I see a big drop in my framerate. I have a good gaming laptop and, with maxed out settings, FSX will run at 40-60+ FPS in the rest of the city and I can get up to triple digit framerates when I'm out in the open, therefore it's not a performance problem. There is something inside Terminal 1 or right next to it that is nosediving my framerate from 30-60 down to 7-10 FPS, whenever I simply turn the camera at it. The question is: WHAT? Hello All! I am new to flight simulators. I purchased a joystick and downloaded Microsoft Flight Simulator X Demo. But I can't find adequate instructions to use to do anything. My add-on scenery files are taking all of my space on the c:/ drive. I want to move them to my E:/ drive and delete from the C: drive. FSX is on the C: drive and how do I get FSX to retrieve the files from the E: drive? I have 700 GB of Megascenery Earth files and this will free up my C: drive. Hi, Upon doing flights to and from Asia right around Japan my flight crashes. I don't know if it's a corrupted or missing scenery section. There used to be an application that would pop up and not only show you the erroneous section info but would allow you to continue your flight. Is this or something similar still available? Does anyone had the model for the YS-11?

I have searched both here and on Brand X and found several posts about my problem. However, they are fairly old and mostly deal with XP and Win 7. I have Windows 10 running on a Dell XPS with 16mb of RAM and a 2 gig HD. Now, here's the problem. I recently had a problem with Orbx Base package and had to uninstall it. Somehow, in the process I managed to delete all of the files in FSX. Don't ask, I have no idea! Anyway, I then tried to uninstall FSX but it couldn't be found. I went into my regedit program and deleted everything with either "microsoft Flight Simulator" or "FSX". Then, I cleaned the registry of unused files. (ccleaner) I also went into my user\nam…

I remember the aircraft.ini file from FS9, but I've noticed that this file isn't present in FSX-SE. Is the replacement perhaps all the individual aircraft subfolders located under \Users\username\AppData\Roaming\FSX\Simobjects\ ?

I installed FSX ( in Window 10 ) and then I ran FSX. A screen shows,however the MenuBar is hidden, How can I activate the MenBar ? Thank you for your help Paul12

Hi Can any one explain why Navigraph Search can't find a waypoint: GANET which is West of Dublin runway 10. It is on my Aerosoft A321 MCDU. So must exist. I have looked on OpenNav but that shows it NE of Dublin in the Irish Sea. Which is the Wrong Location. My Navigraph is the latest update and I use Airac 1904. Is it just that Navigraph are slow updating? Thank you for reading this. PS. I track my Flights on a second PC with Simlink.

Hello there, Now that I have some free time I've decided to dedicate some time to FSX Steam, it's been on the list for many years. I've just bought the Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS Hotas + Track IR 5 + the book Microsoft Flight Simulator X For Pilots: Real World Training by Jeff Van West. I've downloaded FreeMeshX Global 2.0 but I don't know which other add-ons I should install. So far I have on the list Orbx FTX global, Rex4, DX10 Scenery Fixer and Terra Emergence Project. Are they compatible? Makes sense to install all 4? What other add-ons do you recommend? For things like clouds, water, airport, etc I know some people have spent a lot of mon…
