All of a sudden I have a strange issue with FSX. I'm still managing reasonable frame rates but nothing like I was previously. I'm not really sure what's changed but I am using Windows 10 which updates itself a LOT and I have also installed a few other games that may or may not be having an effect. The trouble is that I feel like I may be looking for a needle in a haystack. Previously I was using approx. 60-80% of my GPU and the frame rates were through the roof. Now I'm using a maximum of 36% and the frame rates are much lower than they were previously. I have not changed any CFG files at all, in fact I actually restored a backup I had just to make sure. Hello all: Is anyone else having an issue with PlanG "find; address" not working. It was a handy tool to find point of interest and, well, just about anything on the planet. Now it dosn't seem to work at all. Is there a fix? I have the latest version of PlanG. Thank in advanced. HawkDsl.

Hi all. Just tried air traffic controlling on IVAO. Well, actually ground controlling. I thought I'd found a relatively quiet airport, but soon enough 5 or 6 other aircraft spawned in. There was a lot to keep track of. Which leads me on to the question: How do you keep track of everything? Do you take notes? Is there a feature in IVAC? Thanks, Will

I have been away from FSX for a while but now I notice that in FTX Central V2 it says the OpenLC Europe is not installed. What? I paid for it and installed it - is it possible that it is installed but Central V2 does not pick it up? How can I tell if it is there or not? So yesterday i was playing FSX:SE and (since i installed the game) i couldn't see progressive taxi. I searched about that problem to fix it and read that deactivating "Preview direct X 10" could maybe fix the problem, so i tried that and i had to restart the game to apply change (untill now FPS and sound was fine). When i restarted FSX, i had 2.2 fps and couldn't hear any sound from the game. I tried to cancel the change and reactivated the preview then restarted the game, but the low FPS problem was still here. I have tried few other things (reset settings to default, reducing display settings to very low for example), but the problem is still there. If i deact…

Hi all So apparently FSX has this problem where RJCC and RJCJ overlap. I downloaded this scenery which supposedly solves the overlap problem. However, it seems that whoever made that scenery did not take FSDreamTeam's Ground Services X into consideration, because RJCJ is still present and overlaps with the gates in RJCC. As a result, GSX doesn't recognize gates on the west side of RJCC. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there an alternative to Ultimate Traffic Live if one is interested strictly in finding out which airplane type departs from which Airport. I find Tools like Flightaware etc. rather cumbersome to use. Surely, by now someone has integrated this info into a more userfriendly Interface? (As I said, I'm not interested in UTLive at the Moment). Thanks!

I use FSX Gold Edition besides the FS9. The problem I seem to have with the FSX is after about 1.5 hours of flying the screen freezes and turns a shade of grey. Still can see the panel, but visibly can see that the flying has paused and there is a notice the simulator is not responding. I normally, leave the computer and after about 10 minutes everything returns to normal. I would be greatful, if someone could give me some help to overcome this frustrating problem. Hi I installed the Tropicalsim Rio De Janeiro 2016 (SBGL) the other day and followed all the steps to get SODE jetways activated with the airport. I got it done, but then saw that there were some strange distorted shadows coming from the SODE jetways.

I have Ground Environment X Africa and the Middle East installed. Unfortunately, all the freeware sceneries available for FSIA (he main airport) don't seem to be compatble with GEX. I.e., floating runways and grass textures on the tarmac. Is there a fix for this? Also, is anyone running FSDG's Seychelles scenery together with GEX? Thanks

Hi guys, I have been using ezdok software for two years without any problem. However, when I purchased PMDG 737 NGX and installed it, ezdok sends an error message saying "Unable to write ….\…….\….\Aircraft.cfg. … is the whole path to the aircraft.cfg. it does not actually say that. Please help!

I recently downloaded the Tupolev Tu-144 by Nikita Konstantinov, and let me say it is an amazing freeware aircraft. Yes, setting up my joystick was problematic, but I eventually was able to do it. However, I noticed my brakes were stuck in the on position - Unable to engage the parking or differential brakes. I do not have any rudder pedals, just a joystick. I have tried mapping a brake key to the keyboard but I can't seem to release the brakes. On every other aircraft, I can use the brakes just fine. Is there an fsx.cfg, panel.cfg or aircraft.cfg setting I can change to alleviate this?

Hi All, A simple question Regarding flight planning but I don't know the answer. I have a commercial Aircraft (iFly B737 in my case) and if I use a flight planning tool (e.g. Simbrief or FSbuild etc) to build a flight plan for my aircraft's FMS, then how do I file it with the inbuilt ATC system. So both the aircraft's FMS and the flightsim's ATC are on the same page so to speak. Sounds silly to ask but I just don't know the answer. I have in the past built a native Flightsim flight plan and then typed each leg into the FMS but there must be a better way. I would appreciate some advice on this topic. Thanks in advance.

I did mention this problem about a year ago and was told that it was all correct. I have agonized over it all this time - so here goes: It seems to me that the sound files for throttle position and RPM have been interchanged as the frequency of the sound reduces when power is reduced after take off, but does not change as the RPMs are brought back. I live near KSEA whose declination is about 15.61° E. I fly FSX-SE and have applied Hervé Sors latest magnetic declination corrections. I get a variety of course directions using flight plan tools. For instance, I built a flight plan from KSEA to KBOI via V4 using Flight Sim Commander Version 10.0 Rev 5 Build 06.03.2018. The first leg of the flight plan from SEA to YKM shows a course of 108-110° magnetic. The Seattle Sectional Chart shows V4 as constant 104°. FSTramp shows a course of 105°. The sectional chart is correct, so how do we explain the variation between the Sectional and Flight Sim Commanders course of 108°? Does anyone know if it's possible to updat…

How can I get ATC to recognize aircraft callsigns during flight? I assign a callsign on the per-flight loading screen, but except for rare occasions, the only ones that consistently work are with the freeware Boeing 737-800 151 livery package. I've tried adding callsigns to the atc airline of various aircraft cfg. files (as per how it works with the 737-800 pkg., which the sim ATC does recognize), but nothing seems to work. Any thoughts on how to make this work would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

Having spent nearly 10 years creating my own custom photo-realistic scenery files for my FSX installation, I've got a lot of time and effort in those files. Now that I had to switch to Windows 10 (my new motherboard requires it) and can't get FSX to run, despite hours of online research, I am considering trying one of the newer simulators. But it would be a real plus if I could take my scenery files along with me. So can any of the Windows 10 compatible flight simulators use the same kind of BGL scenery files? Whether I use the MS tug, with an MS FSX-SE standard aircraft, or the pushback instruction built into my Majestic Dash oe PDMG 737, the pushback tug behaves strangely. On starting it moves smoothly. It's when it returns to the stand that the behaviour changes. Sometimes the tug returns to its start point before the pushback has completed (a/c still continues to move) but always it moves back erratically, like a 'crab, rather than in a straight line. Any ideas? Andrew

I recently purchased Rex4 with Soft Clouds (only 17 quid from Just Flight) and so far I like it. I'm only using the theme generated from the METAR at my departure airport. Then if I save a flight in progress I'll perhaps update the theme from a METAR closest to my current position, or even my destination. I'm using FSOpen Clouds as my weather engine to inject the METARS in flight. As I said, I'm enjoying the software and can see the pros, but does anyone have any cons? Or any issues? Cheers.
