Ok, so I'm a little confused as to how the fuel system manages itself, especially when loading partial fuel. No need to fill up if we're only going on a 1000 mile flight right? :) If I fill the left and right wing tanks and say the tail tank, but not the wing centre tank, then the system transfers fuel from the tail tank into the wing centre, presumably for C of G reasons. If there is no fuel in the wing centre then engine 2 stops and I don't appear to get the crossfeeds from the left and right tanks to do anything; I "should" be able to have them supply engine 2 if needs be surely? Or at least transfer fuel into the wing centre. (This is no PMDG hence my use of the word…

Hi pilots, I have installed The Beech king 350i in FSX Steam, and noticed immediately that the FMC doesn't work because it's loading a data base. The process shoud have taken some minutes….:(( but after an hour, I'm still waiting here... I have updated navigraph data, but nothing happens. Has anybody fixed this issue? Thanks Valerio

Tell me if you all know this already but you need not lose a flight/approach/landing because of a pesky OOM turning up like a...well you know what I mean. The OOM is NOT an FSX crash. It's FSX telling you WOAH you reached your VAS limit boy we are not going to load ANY more scenery objects, sounds or whatever. You may as well shut the sim down by pressing this big button down in the middle of your screen. Except you don't have to. In full screen you have no choice. But in windows mode or in my case full screen windowed mode ( I use the excellent Background Gaming app to do this) all you need to do to keep flying is to click on the main screen outside the OOM box…

I have two machines running Windows 7 I also have a number of golf white modules. I’m running FSX Gold and would like to network the two machines together. Somebody out there could help me explain how to do this it would be greatI’m also running active sky.. I would like find the simplest way. I’m also running active sky.

I've seen several recommendations to not install FSX-SE in the default location (i.e. C:/ProgramFiles (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common etc.) Some propose a separate drive and installing outside of the Windows file structure entirely. I run Steam /FSX on Win10/64 on an AMD quadcore with 1TB drive and 4GB RAM. For the most part it works well, and I'm wary of changes for change's sake, but I have had to uninstall/reinstall more than once (as we do). If I have to do it again, is it really worth installing on a separate drive? If so, do I need an SDD external Hard Drive or just a usb3 portable storage device (1TB)? Any advice would be appreciated. Hello together, currently I was wondering why the maddog accelerates during reverse thrust (just deploy the reverser and increse the reverse just a little). Is that a correct, I mean compared to the real world aircraft? Greetings

I have been getting a problem lately where when I go full back on my joystick the control surfaces re center. This is a really annoying problem and i need help. I use the extreme 3D pro joystick, I have calibrated it in FSX and the Logitech programmer. When I slowly move it back to the center position, the aircraft's controls jolt back into the correct place, but as soon as i pull back any further they move back to being centered. any help would be greatly appreciated, James

Hi all, I see this bundle in Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/6161/FSX_Steam_Edition_Airbus_Series_The_Collection_Vol_1_4/ Judging from the screenshots and videos, the Feelthere Airbus bundle offered by Steam is similar (or based) on the Wilco Airbus series we all know. However, I can't identify the differences against the current Wilco Airbus, either Evolution or not. Apart from the fact that Steam divided each volume in 2, are there any other differences or "improvements"? Asking either Steam or Wilco will give no results, sadly 😔

Recently bought the WS Simulation version of the DA42 and I've really enjoyed it so far. But I've been eyeing the Eaglesoft and Alabeo versions online and thinking of trading up. Anyone have any suggestions as to which version they prefer? -Brad

Is there a way of adjusting the sensitivity of the brake function on my Logitech / Saitek rudder/brake pedals? The toe brakes (left / right) are assignable but the toe pedal action is so sensitive that as soon as I apply any pressure to the pedals themselves (e.g. just rest my feet) the brakes come on - even without any downward (tilt) motion. Hi, I'm having a real problem with Jahns lovely c-47, the orginal version not the updated version. When I run ASN the plane continually tilts and rocks from side to side. Switch ASN off and it goes away. I dont get this with any other aircraft - most peculiar. I have disabled Accufeel for the C47 to eliminate that as a source of the trouble. I replaced the air file with the original FSX dc3m but it seems the files are actually idential, so no fix there. Any ideas?

I am using Stefan Leibe's panel for both the PA and Tom Airbus 330-200 and 300-300 in FSX. The checklist always shows overweight no matter what I do. I emptied all fuel and freight and it still is red. It must be a problem in the aircraft.cfg, but what? By the way it flies fine but the "barber pole" on the MFD always shows red as if in overspeed. I've used Gavin Munro's panel without any problems so I have a work around but I love the Leibe panel, especially the airport info. Please help!

I recently downloaded the Embraer EMB-175 addon pkg for FSX. The modeling was done by AI Aardvark. Have been wanting the E-175 for quite a while, so was looking forward to this. Am having an issue however. I cannot get the a/c to climb properly. All flight instruments are set as normal (airspeed, Alt., flaps, probes, etc.), and A/P and A/T are engaged. Unfortunately, once the climb starts, even with 200 kts and a 1200'/min. vertical speed set, the airspeed continues to drop automatically all the way down to below 130 Kts till the a/c begins to stall. I have yet to it above 200 Kts. I've tried different weights & trim settings, but nothing helps. Any ideas?

Hi can someone please help. I downloaded NMG Lanseria for FSX Steam Edition and I see there is no runway or SIDS there is nothing and I am trying to land there doing a ILS but there is no runway in my PMDG 737 FMC. Please help

Hope this helps someone... Out of the blue, my engines refused to start. I tried several different aircraft, no go. I searched online and found many solutions, none of which worked for me. I checked to be sure that my fuel selector was set to both. I decided to try switching to the starboard feed, and the selector handle would not budge. Hmmm... Recently downloaded the ERJ-170 Mega Package for FSX from Luis Quintero that was listed in Simviation. I love the aircraft, but am having a stability issue. The aircraft will not cruise stable above .70M & FL250 without porpoising. That shouldn't be outside the a/c's envelope. I realize that setting trim may help, and have tried different settings, but nothing has worked, and there is nothing on the FMC to reference a trim setting. Also, tried emailing the author of the package, but haven't heard back yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx.

Hi All When using the Captain sim 767 (most recent patch), the aircraft works mostly fine, except for the progress and legs page, when inputting correct wind data(usually using the average wind data from active sky next and putting it on the first or second waypoint). The Fmc progress page will give me an ETA which is completely unreasonable even during cruise, and will frequently say that the flight will arrive with 0 fuel. Now over time(i.e HOURS) the data corrects itself to a more accurate point, but I don't get why the FMC is doing this and how to fix it. I've checked the manual and can't see anything there, I also saw nothing which was too helpful on the forums …

hello I am back on my sim after a sabbatical of sorts. I am reconnecting with VATSIM. I am trying to locate the areas of medium to high aircraft traffic operating in ATC/ Flight Center controlled airspace in the Western Hemisphere, during Friday nights and the weekend. Is there a designated VATSIM related site, or area, where announcements regarding upcoming gatherings for ATC controllers and pilots are made? Thanks.

Today I started to fly late in the evening and found C172 and Boeing 737-800 default aircrafts are in dark on the runway although the light switched are ON. In the external view I can see the light but it does not shine on the tarmac. and the runway is in dark? What is the problemand can anyone help? Lucky Patcher 9Apps VidMate

I've been wondering if it would be possible to creat multiple installations of copies of FSX-SE. They would be "frozen in time" of the date I make them and would not be subject to periodic steam updates of course. There's a tutorial on flightsim about how to create multiple installs of FS2004 (and presumably FXS Classic) and it looks fairly easy. So I'm wondering can I copy my FSX-SE installation (in my case on my I: drive, not the default location) into a new folder on my drive and rename the FSX.exe to something like FSXww2.exe. Will it create the necessary folders and files the first time I run it without conflicting with the base installation (e.g. Libraries-Do…

Recently I ventured south of the US/Mexico Border in FSX Boxed Edition and discovered an odd texture issue. Some of the ground textures as seen from the air as I neared the Yucatan Peninsula starting displaying the word "WINTER" in red and "SPRING" in green. As I continued south into South America the green "SPRING" pretty much disappeared, but the red "WINTER" displayed everywhere I looked until I crossed the Amazon. Not every bitmap displayed the red or green words, but I could look in exterior view and see numerous displays in a complete 360 circle around my aircraft.
