Hi everyone, after beginning a flight in my Vcol ATR 72-600 i fully start up the aircraft and start the engines all from a cold& dark state but still after all of this my primary flight display has crosses in the IAS and ALT Collums and says ATT FAIL and to the right of that my navigation screen is black with a Red Cross right through it and reads FAIL, does anyone know how to fix this. Now all of a sudden no key commands in FSX work. I've tried resetting the key commands to defaults several times. Only the brackets work. Nothing else. Is there any solution to this?

can someone explain to me what the graduations 10/30 mean alongside then heading switch? thanks

Hi Am after some advice and hope someone can help. I have a little HP Notebook which doesn't get much use, it doesn't pack much of a punch as it has a intel core duo running at a mighty 1.86ghz. I would like to put it to good use by using it as a moving map when i am flying and also for it to show me the airport and gates when i land. I don't really want to use the progressive taxi option and hopefully it might stop me from getting lost 😀 Can anyone recommend any good freeware programs that do this, have heard of little nav map but don't know if it will show a zoomed in map of the airport complete with gates when i land kind regards

I had the logistic 3d pro... It stopped working so I figured it broke.... So I went out and bought the Thrustmaster Flight Hotas X........... also does not work.....So now I know its the game..1 week ago my joystick worked... I haven't downloaded anything new... I even did the steam game files check........ controller doesn't show up in FSX setting just has "free look" and "mouse yoke" of course I've tried different USB's... IDK what else to do... I don't want to uninstall becuse I have 2 PMDG'S...... GSX.... edok... addon secenery

Is it possible to have two separate installations of FSX-FE? How would I download the second version? I would like to have a purely ORBX install along with my regular FSX-FE...Thanks...

Hello; Can anyone tell me if the ND Airport Map Display is available on the "FSX" version of PMDG 747-400 and -8i or only on the P3D version? I think I read somewhere on a forum where it was stated it is only available on the P3D but I wasn't quite sure. When searching the net and the PMDG site I couldn't find any specific place where it clearly states that it's in one and not the other. I figured that someone on this forum would know. My computer froze while downloading some lengthy ORBX scenery, I was forced to hard reboot and upon restarting got a message my dll.xml file was corrupt. I swamped it in Roaming for a backup from last summer. On loading FSX, there is no spinning aircraft, athough I can select any of those on my system, and entering any flight has no scenery, just a white horizonless space (and no aircraft). The connections to the scenery and aircraft are broken! So far I've removed dll.xml and tested if FSX will create one (no). Hello folks, I have just reinstalled my FSX Steam software from the ground up, inc Windows 10 and I have re downloaded Manfred Jahn's fantastic C47 / DC3. Other than how to install stuff I know nothing about scenery and aircraft files.. It used to be error free but now I am receiving error's on loading "Cannot find textures Markerlts.bmp" & "Cannot find textures Padding_lm.bmp" both when the free flight loads and if I toggle view mode and get back i to the VC. I have tried the following downloads and they all act the same, however the aircraft is visually perfect, no missing textures, I guess because the dds files are being used? "Douglas_C-47_Beta_V3.…

So after patiently waiting for Flightbeam to come out with PDX, only to find that it's in P3v4 only kinda sucks, because I still am using FSX and yes I know it's 13+ years old and everyone is jumping on the Prepar band wagon but I'm still waiting. Mostly because of not wanting to fork out $1500 to 3,000 for a new system, and because I have a ton of add-on's that finally make FSX enjoyable, and because I can still run Win 7 (I hate Win 10). Hello Everyone, I want to put my PFD, ND and my EICAS Display from the VC of my 737NGX on a second Monitor. So that I get a better feeling for my small homecockpit. But there is one Problem. When I click in the Virtual Cockpit of my PMDG 737 NGX to the PFD then i get a zoomed View. That View I can release, now I can move this Window to my second Monitor but the FPS in the main view drop below 5fps and make the FSX unplayable. Sometimes the FSX crashs when I move the view to my second Monitor. In the settings of the FSX I have set for my Monitor zero(Main Monitor) the resolution to 1920x1080x32 no Anti Aliasing and Filtering is Anisotropic. On my second Monitor …

Just today I started getting this message: Flight Simulator has detected a problem with a third-party software program (add-on): Name: FSUIPC4 DLL Version: 4.972 Do you want to run this software (not recommended). If I click yes to run it, FSX just quits loading. If I click no, it loads OK. So I deleted all the FSUIPC stuff from the Modules folder and reinstalled FSUIPC4. Same problem. So, not a corrupted dll but a problem with FSX? I'm thinking I should re-install FSX-SE. If I save my Simobjects\Airplanes folder somewhere safe can I copy it back into the re-installed FSX and get all my planes back? How about my Addon Scenery folder? Will I have to g…

Hi guys having trouble removing fs2004 add-on aircraft from fsx. I have removed it from my simobjects folder but when l look to change aircraft in fsx it shows as still avaliable. Just new to the hobby so probably missing something. . Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey, So ive had this problem for a while and nothing will solve it. FSX crashes when i change between air traffic. I can do a 5 hour flight and i wont crash if i dont look at any air traffic, if i look at air traffic im nearly guaranteed to crash either while doing it or after it. I also seem to crash in australia where i have ORBX scenery, (not all the time) which makes be believe it might be an issue with scenery and liveries? The other problem is i dont get any crash reports, in app crash viewer or event viewer. I have MDMP files appear in my FSX folder but i cant for the life of me get them open. I have tried blue screen viewer but nothing appears. …

LHello All I fly the Caranado Kind Air 350 it has dual HSI both tuned to the same Nav Frequency. So turning the OBS for selecting a VOR Radial both HSIs move the same. Is there a switch or any program lines , which can be added to the aircraft config files so as to split them into separate Nav Aids, So for instance you can track on number one, and select a cross bearing on number two. I would like to store the SimObjects file on a drive that does not contain FSX. My configuration currently F:\Program Files (X86),Microsoft Games, Microsoft Flight Simulator X,SimObjects, Airplanes. By creating different regions. around the world, ie; China D:\Addon Scenery you do not have to load the rest of the world(saving a lot of overhead). I would like to do the same thing with Airplanes but have not found the right path. Can anyone shed some light on this topic? sandy01

Hi: Several months ago, I mistakenly installed Steam FSX-SE to my "C" drive...Operating system is installed there...Now, as you can imagine, the drive is filling up, almost full...Is there any easy (?) way to move FSX-SE to another drive without uninstalling? ...Thanks for any ideas... Evening, To put it shortly, I have no landing lights visible on the ground in front of my plane at night. This occurs with all default aircraft, and some payware planes (as far as I know, it's just the Aerosoft Twin Otter and the CaptainSim Boeing 757). On the CaptainSim 757, you can see the actual lights on the model, but not on the ground. I have gone though my settings in FSX. "Pilot controls landing lights" under realism is ON, and "aircraft landing lights reflect on the ground" is also ON. Any help would be much appreciated. CaptainSim have refused to help, by the way. Just done a repair to FSX . I usually had the flight data on the top of the screen: fps, speed, course, etc. How can I get this displayed.

Hi, I have posted a similar Post over aerosoft about the following, but thought I would write it here as well. I have My Traffic X installed and all my AI aircraft at Trondheim are a couple of feet under the Apron. I use GSX and that is fine. Also, have Orbx Vector, but ENVA is not listed within their elevation correction tool. I am not sure that would help anyway, as I believe it is My Traffic reading what perhaps is the FSX default height for the airport. I have also had a look within My Traffic folders and within 'Scenery Folder' found one BGL file - ENVA. I have been advised to turn that to 'off' which I did, but did not change anything. I have run FSX (Gold Edition with FSX Deluxe, SP1, SP2 and Acceleration) satisfactorily for years, with and without photo' scenery addons. I also have addon aircraft and addon airports.
