Can some one point me to a tutorial on how to merge autogen files?

Hi Just got back today on fsx on my win 7 pro 64but system I have just spent over 3 hour trying to fint a moveing map that will be compatable with my system could you please help me Regards Rex

Normally I use the Spacebar and mouse for veiwing around the cockpit etc, but I must be hitting a wrong button somewhere because all of a sudden I don't have that feature anymore. It's a real pain starting up the Quality Wings 787-9 and entering the flight plan routing etc. because I have to re-load the A/C ( which is set to Cold and Dark.) to get the feature back. Any hints??

I have the CH USB Pedals and when ever I use them for the rudder the parking brake engages. I have the steam edition of FSX. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks for reading my post.

Hi all, Recently I have been having a problem with FSX ATC. When the ATC window opens and asks me to either create a flight plan, open a flight plan,or when it asks me to contact a center, it won't let me do what it tells me to do. It doesn't respond. This has happened twice now with the PMDG Boeing 777. When I start a new flight with a default aircraft, it seems to work fine. I don't know whether this is specifically a PMDG aircraft issue, or something with ATC from FSX. Thanks, Ed Kammerman

I am struggling with my camera configurations in FSX "aircraft.cfg" and I have a simple question: What is the difference between [cameradefinition.1] and cameradefinition.001] ? I am reading in the SDK these different indexes. Thanks

I installed FSX onto my 1TB SSD. Fresh install with no adding or scenery. I clicked activate now and I have been staring at the FSX splash screen for over 5 min. I have 16gb @3200 MHz. What is going on!?

I recent installed FSX on one of my drives. Am I able to install all my adding and stuff on a different drive or do I have to install on same drive FSX is installed on?

I recently purchased the PMDG B737 for FSX because I saw on the internet someone who was using this program in a simulated cockpit. The person was demonstrating the starting procedures for the airplane. When I started the Flight simulator and loaded the plane, I found that there is no option to do this that I could figure out. So, IS there an option in FSX for this? Can someone point me in the right direction? I will definately appreciate it. Stephen Tschirhart

Hey I was wondering if anyone is willing to make me a scenery for FSX. doesn't have to be anything special just something to do the job. The airfield i would like created as a scenery is Carrickmore Airfield in Co Tyrone NI. It is a microlight strip and i'm currently a member of the club based there and i would love it to be in the sim. An absolutely brilliant airfield !

Hey! How do I install FSX on my PC using Windows 10? I try to start from DVD but find no way to really start setup of FSX. What could be the reason? Greetz Jive1 - Belgium

So basically, I know there are issues on this sort of topic but I think mine may be specific to my computer. There is this MD-80 sound pack developed by a guy named Adam Murphy. It sounds great in the videos, and here's the thing. I got it, and for the most part it sounded pretty good until I shut the engines off, changed views and returned to the cockpit. There's this really loud, ugly noise playing and resetting the "Q" key didn't solve it. There was still an annoying noise. My friend, who has FSX:SE, also downloaded this sound pack. I have FSX-SE. My library in Steam insists that ASN is installed but it doesn't appear in my weather settings as a choice. I only have the standard FSX choices. I've tried al the troubleshoots that Steam suggest: emptied my download cache, changed my download region etc. I don't recall seing the DCL Download Tool dialogue when it installed but....where can it be? Help please.

I'm worried that I may have botched my Taxi2Gate KMCO updates. There wasn't much documentation, so I used what seemed to be the most logical. Step 1.) I installed KMCO using the installer and started a flight sitting at a gate to make sure it worked. Saved the test flight and exited without flying. Step 2.) I ran the KMCO 1.2 installer and loaded the test flight to make sure that it worked. Exited w/o flying. Step 3.) I extracted what I believe is called update 2, which comes in a .rar file. It has a KMCO folder with a Texture and a Scenery folder in it. I copied the entire folder right over top of the KMCO folder located in C:\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\Ad…

I need to get a technical manual for FSX running on Steam. I retired from 38 years in the IT industry so I know something of files, folders, links, and so on. I am running on a computer that has an SSD 'C:\' drive, an SSD F:\ drive, and a 3TB E:\ drive. I try to put all Windows 10 items on 'C:\' and most of the FSX items on F:\ but I haven't been consistent. My main goal is to keep 'C:\' and F:\ as clean as possible. At this point I have FSX files on all 3 drives. Does a manual exist that shows all the file links and where they are defined in FSX?. I have a old computer circa 2013 running FSX Gold addition and I figure my system is not powerful enough to run the PMDG version. Hello All. Im having trouble installing Scenery on an external SSD. I have 1.72 Tbs of space available, The idea is to install FSX on the external SSD as a dummy. load all add on Airports and VFR Scenery into this dummy FSX just let the ruddy stuff flow into the FSX Add on Scenery folder which is outside of the Main FSX installation. Then on the Main FSX go to the Library press add scenery button then navigate to dummy FSX Add on Scenery folder and press OK Now With Main FSX being tricked into thinking it’s , it’s own Add on Scenery folder. I recently installed Dino Cattaneo's wonderful F-35 mod. However, I am having an issue. When trying a flight with autopilot & auto-throttle engaged, the a/c immediately goes into a very high pitch climb, which always results in a stall unless ap & auto-throttle are disengaged, even with afterburner in use. Example : autopilot & auto-throttle are set to 12000' ( with 1500'/min. climb), & 250 Kts. set on climb-out from airport. This should be a no-brainer for the F-35. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix? Really need help with this, so any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

Hi. I installed precipitfx, set the scenery detail to high, have the latest version of FSUPIC, have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and using Active Sky. But somehow, the default FSX and P3D rain and snow textures are still there. Is there something else I should be doing? Thanks

Judging from the length and breath of the Win10/FSX frame rate issues, my question might not have an easy answer. Basically, running FSX (not SE ) frame rates have slowed to a crawl (3 -5 fps). They start off at about 10 max and degenerate from there. I am no stranger to FSX fixes and tweaks. Over the years I have purchased many speed-up tools, such as, FSS-Xtreme FSX PC, FSX Fiber Accelerator and Primo Cache with a 128GB SSD. Add-ons include GSX, EZ-DOC, My Traffic and MegaScenery graphics. These have all been tweeked till they squeak. Resolution has been lowered to a blurry mess, traffic stripped to almost no other aircraft on the ground or in the air. Sliders have been…

I've been having an issue with my sound files for the carriers. I have AICarriers installed, but the issue is the same for AICarrier and default ships. I'm able to hear the cable catch when I land, but the blast shield and catapult sounds do not play. They do exist in my FSX directory and in my Nimitz file in SimObjects/Boats, the sound.cfg has the code for the blast shield and catapult, but not the cable(but that's the one that works ¯\_(ツ)_/¯). Any idea why the sound files are not being found?

I'm a newby to the Flysim World and in the process trying figure out where to go with the computer hardware I currently have. My question is "is the Nividia GTX 1050 graphics card sufficient to run FSX (steam) without any hic-ups?" Thanks for your input.
